Here’s what I wore Wednesday June 14. I wore fishnet socks for the first time, and instead of going with black ones I went with pink ones, and I think they’re a fun little detail.

Next in my ‘film style icon’ series, I would like to share my love for Pretty in Pink’s (1986) Andie Walsh. If you are into second hand clothes, Andie Walsh’s style is truly inspirational. It was really difficult to find good pictures of her outfits, but you’ll still be able to get an idea of how inspiring and stylish she is.
Andie Walsh is the essence of granny chic, which shows in most of her outfits. She is very fond of floral prints, cardigans and waistcoats, and cute accessories such as hats and dangly earrings. Her best friend, Duckie Dale, is a great style inspiration as well.
She is also the queen of pastel colours (especially pink, of course).
Her attention to detail is incredible. Some might think her outfits are a bit much, but I believe that more is more.
Her last outfit in the film is the iconic homemade prom dress. The dress really stands out among the other dresses at the prom, and it’s so Andie. It even has a modern twist to it with the high neck and off the shoulder style.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used to do a pink and mauve eye look similar to this one all the time, and I really don’t know why I stopped, because I think it’s super pretty.

Here’s what I wore Tuesday June 13. I’ve expressed my love for pink more than once, and I think mixing dusty pink and baby pink worked well in this case.

Today is the last day of my summer holidays, which is sad on the one hand, but on the other hand I’m excited to start working on my thesis. The past month was very relaxing compared to the previous months, and it was just what I needed. I’m looking forward to blog more consistently again, but I have to admit that it was nice spending a little less time on the internet. Before we enter the last official month of summer, here’s some of my favourite things from the month of July.
Black culottes: We’ve had varying weather in Denmark this past month and not a lot of really hot days, but these culottes have been great for the warm days. The styling possibilities are endless, and I took pictures of a couple of outfits with these that I’ll be posting at some point.
Lush Honey Kiss lip scrub: My sister bought me this on a trip to Italy a few months ago, and I really like it. When you wear lipstick on a daily basis like I do, you need to take care of your lips, and a lip scrub is the way to go. There are definitely cheaper alternatives, and you can also make your own lip scrub, but if you want to treat your lips, this is a great option.
Small black shoulder bag: I think I’ve had this bag for a few years now, and it is my go-to party bag. The reason why I’m featuring it in this month’s favourites is because I wore at a graduation party, out clubbing, and at a wedding, which shows how versatile it is.
Cat-eye sunglasses: These has been my go-to sunglasses this past month. Big, cat-eye sunglasses reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, and who doesn’t want to feel even the slightest like Miss Hepburn.
Audrey Style – Pamela Clarke Keogh: Speaking of Audrey Hepburn, my summer read this year was this lovely book about (as the title suggests) Audrey’s style. Even though it was mainly about her fashion, it connected it to her life story, and it was overall a very enjoyable book.

Here’s what I wore Monday June 5. I’ve had this blazer hanging in my closet for ages, and I don’t even remember if I’ve ever worn it before, but I thought it was perfect with this outfit.

When I purchased these products from MAC, I was lucky enough to get two full size products and three samples as a free gift.
The two full size products were limited edition products from last year’s summer collection called Vibe Tribe. The first product is this bronzing powder in the shade Firebrush. It has gold shimmer in it and it’s not to dark on my fair skin if I use a light hand.
The second full size product is this Patentpolish lip pencil in the shade Rio Grande Romance which is a pinky red shade. I was pleasantly suprised by the pigmentation, and it’s a great colour for summer.
The three samples are an In Extreme Dimension Lash mascara, a Cleanse Off Oil, and a Prep + Prime Face Protect Lotion. I haven’t tried any of these yet, but when I do I’ll make some ‘First impressions’ post about some of them.
