Testing Sephora haul products

DSC_0258DSC_0253

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used three out of four of the products from my latest Sephora haul (the only product I didn’t use for this make-up look was the Huda Beauty Nude Obsessions palette), and my first impressions of the products were great.

At-home date night

Here’s what I wore Saturday April 11. Now that you can’t go anywhere, my boyfriend and I decided to do date night at home, which gave me an opportunity to dress up. As you can see I wore polkadots on polkadots and bright pink heels, and I felt great in this outfit.

MAC spring sale haul

DSC_0335

A couple of weeks ago MAC had spring sale, so I obviously got a few things. First of all I got another Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Double Gleam in the limited edition packaging from the Lunar Illusions collection. I know it’s crazy, but I love that highlighter so much, and I was sad about ruining the beautiful dragon design, so I bought an extra one that I’m going to keep intact. I also purchaced a back-up of the Prep+Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base in the shade Radiant Yellow which is one of favourite primers. Another Prep+Prime product that I purchased is the lip primer (in the limited edition packaging from the Petal Power collection). I’ve never tried it before, so I’m really excited to see if it makes a difference. And then I bought two blushers and two single eyeshadows.

These are the two blushers I’ve purchased. The first one is a matte powder blush in the shade Prism, and the other one is a Glow Play blush in the shade So Natural. Both are nude shades and I’m really excited to use these.

The two eyeshadows I’ve added to my custom palette are Kid and Natural Wilderness. Natural Wilderness is a new shade.

I was lucky enough to get a bunch of samples and free gifts as well. The thing that I’m most excited about is the mini lipstick in the shade Velvet Teddy, which I don’t already own, but I know it’s a popular shade, so I’m excited to give it a try.

Spring pastels

Cool Daisy

Here’s what I wore Friday April 3. I really wanted to wear the Daisy Duck T-shirt and the bucket hat. I added some denim and some zebra print and ended up with this outfit.

Red, red, and more red

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You’ve probably noticed that I love a monochromatic make-up look and of course I went for a red look to go with this outfit.

Red cow print boots

DSC_0208rediDSC_0209redi

Here’s what I wore Thursday April 2. I’m probably never going to wear these red cow print boots out of the house (they’re too high and uncomfortable for everyday use), so I took advantage of the fact that I’m not leaving the house these days and built this outfit around them.

(Earrings – South Beach, blazer + shirt + boots – second hand, trousers – Monki, bag – Topshop, belt – Stradivarius)

Sephora 20% off sale

DSC_0227

Sephora (at least the Danish website) had a 20% off all make-up sale recently, so I decided to take advantage for that and purchase a few things I’ve had on my make-up wishlist.

DSC_0236

I love the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes, and I’d been eyeing up the Nude (Light) Obsessions one for a little while. I’ve used it a couple of times already, and I’m loving it. This palette is just so pretty, and I feel like you could actually do quite a few different looks with it.

DSC_0233

Sticking with small, travel-friendly palettes (even though I’ll be staying home for quite a while still), I decided to try out the Fenty Beauty Snap Shadows Mix & Match eyeshadow palette and went for number 1 True Neutrals (another neutral palette, what’s happening to me!). This is indeed very travel-friendly, and I love that you can do a full eye look with this one palette. I’ve used it once, and so far so good.

DSC_0245

And on to another Fenty Beauty product. This has been on my make-up wishlist ever since it launched, so I finally purchased one of the Sun Stalk’r – Instart Warmth bronzers. I got the lightest shade which is called Inda Sun. I’ve only worn this once as well, but I think I’m going to really like it.

DSC_0251

And last but not least, I’ve purchased my first ever Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighter. This is in the shade Vanilla Quartz, and I’ve swatched it in stores several times. It’s really pretty, and I can’t wait to wear this more.

(Almost) forgotten skirt

DSC_0191rediDSC_0192redi

Here’s what I wore Wednesday April 1. I’ve had this second hand skirt for ages, but I never knew how to style it, mainly due to the colour and the fact that it’s see-through. However, two weeks ago when I was styling this awesome letter print shirt, I remembered this sheer nude skirt, and suddenly this outfit came to life.

Muted and purply

DSC_0166DSC_0165

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I went for this muted purply make-up look to go with my blouse and shoes.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Physicians Formula Butter bronzer (shade: Light), blusher – NYX Ombre Blush in Mauve Me, highlighters – Milani Strobe Light Instant Glow Powder (shade: Afterglow) + MAC Star-Dipped Face Compact light Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Show Gold. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Alien eyeshadow palette (shades: Titan + Phone Home) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow + Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow liquid eye shadow in Wanderlust, mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Delicious. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Brow Pencil (shade: Neutral Brown) + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Delicious)
