Matte + glossy

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s not often I wear an all matte eye look, but that’s what I decided to go for here. I paired it with a glossy lip, so my look wouldn’t be too matte.

Did the trick

Here’s what I wore Thursday May 20. This first time I posted a look featuring this matching set, the weather was actually warmer, so I styled it with a T-shirt and mule sandals. This time around it was pretty cold, so a T-shirt, sweater vest, and boots did the trick instead.

Colour me impressed

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the BH Cosmetics Remix Dance 00’s eyeshadow palette on my eyes for the first time, and I love how the look turned out. BH Cosmetics continue to impress me with their eyeshadow formulas.

Missing corduroy

Here’s what I wore Tuesday May 18. When I see these pictures, I really miss wearing corduroy, but the weather is just still too warm for corduroy.

Natasha Denona haul

I have a Natasha Denona haul to share with you today. Everything is purchased at Feelunique.

Let’s start with the biggest purchase of the haul; the Diamond & Blush palette in 01 Darya Coral. As you can see, my palette is a bit messy. It’s due to the fact that the bottom left shade (the diamond powder) came broken. It was very difficult for me to send the palette back, so I decided to keep it and I got a refund on the broken shade. I tried my best to press it back in to the pan, and now it’s usable. It’s a super pretty face palette, and I really like it, but it’s too bad that I can’t travel with it, and I have to store it flat.

Let’s continue with another face palette. This is the Love Glow Cheek palette, and I’m pretty sure it launched at the same time as the Love palette. It contains four different formulas/textures, and they’re all very pretty.

And now on to the last two face/cheek products in this haul. I purchased the Contour Sculpting Powder in 01 Light and the Super Glow in 1 Fair. Lately, I’ve been slowly getting a bit back in to contouring, and this ND contour powder is great. The Super Glow is a stunning highlighter that I’ve been enjoying as well. It looks a bit dark in the pan, but it’s super bright on the skin.

Last, but not least, I’ve added three more mini palettes to my growing collection. I picked up the Mini Gold, the Mini Glam, and the Mini Star. I’ve created looks with all of these palettes, I think I used every single shade, and I loved how all three looks turned out. Natasha Denona eyeshadows are just incredible.

Aubergines and orchids

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really wanted to wear my Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette 5 in palette 10 (10 is the number of the palette – it’s a bit confusing). I used every single shade in the palette, and I love how the look turned out. I also love how it looks paired with a dark purple lip.

(Base: primer – Essence Wanna Bee My Honey? luminizing primer in 01 You’re Bee-autiful!, foundation – Wet n Wild Photofocus foundation (shade: Soft Ivory), concealers – Catrice Camouflage cream concealer (shade: 010 Ivory) + Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage concealer (shade: 005 Light Natural), powder – Fenty Beauty Pro Filt´r Instant Retouch setting powder in Butter. Face make-up: bronzer – Hourglass Ambient Lighting bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light, blusher – NYX Ombre Blush in Mauve Me, highlighters – MAC Flash Drops liquid highlighter in Flash Me Outside + Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette 5 in palette 10 shade True Gold as highlighter. Eyebrows: Soda #wowbrow Flat Brow Liner in Kim + MAC Brow Set in Clear. Lips: NYX Shine Loud High Pigment Lip Shine in Shake Things Up)

Berry/wine

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really wanted to play with my Natasha Denona Love palette again and ended up with this berry/wine eye look. I just had to pair it with matching lipstick and blusher, because I love a monochromatic make-up look.

(Base: primer – Essence Skin Lovin’ Sensitive primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Essence Skin Lovin’ Sensitive concealer (shade: 05 Fair), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Essence Skin Lovin’ Sensitive mineral powder (shade: 01 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Huda Beauty Tantour Contour & Bronzer Cream in Fair, blusher – Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in 08 Summertime Wine, highlighter – e.l.f. Jelly highlighter in Bubbly. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Natasha Denona Love palette (shades: First + Soul + Heartbeat + Passion + Transparent), mascara – Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect mascara, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: Soda #wowbrow Flat Brow Liner in Kim + MAC Brow Set in Clear. Lips: Natasha Denona Mark Your Liquid Lips matte liquid lipstick in 25 Louise)

Black, white, and denim

Here’s what I wore Friday May 14. I actually really wanted to play with some specific make-up products that day, so I created my outfit around that and went for a black and white outfit. I threw on a denim jacket to break up the black and white.

(Denim jacket + roll neck top + belt – H&M, trousers – Monki, boots – Topshop)

5 favourites – August

August went by so quickly, if you ask me. I went back to work after a long, relaxing summer holiday, and things are looking a bit more “normal”. I also had a birthday, went to a wedding and a confirmation celebration, so August was eventful indeed. Even though the calendar might say that it is autumn by tomorrow, the Danish weather is actually very nice and summery this week. However, I’m starting to get excited about autumn and colder weather; I want to wear corduroy and knitwear and boots again. Maybe soon I will. But first, let’s talk about some favourites from the month of August.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless primer: For once, I’m featuring a product that I have actually already hauled. As I mentioned in this Lyko haul, I’ve been loving this primer throughout both July and August. I love that it contains SPF 20, and I just like the way it feels and looks on the skin and the way make-up looks on top of it.

L’Oreal Paris Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear foundation (shade: 015 Porcelain): An now on to a product I haven’t hauled yet, but which I’ve been loving so much. I’d heard so many good things about this foundation, and I must say that it really is great. It’s not often that I fall in love with a foundation, but that’s the case with this one.

Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer in Butta Biscuit: I’ve had this cream bronzer since February or March, and I loved it from the very beginning, but my love for it has grown significantly over the past month or so. This is the easiest cream bronzer to use. It almost blends itself. And the shade Butta Bisquit is perfect on me.

Batman – The Dark Night trilogy (films): The only film from the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy I’d watch until a week or two ago was The Dark Night, and I watched it because of Heath Ledger, who is brilliant in it. However, I decided to watch all three films recently, and I really liked them. More than I thought I would. I love the MCU which is more supernatural and fun, but these darker more realistic superhero films were really good as well.

Cruella (film): I’d been waiting for so long for Cruella to become available to all on Disney+, and when it finally did last Friday I watched it right away, and I really enjoyed it. It was not only a Disney film, but also a fashion film, which only made it better. Plus I just love Emma Stone.
