Soo glow + fit me

DSC_5823

My mum, sisters, and aunt went on a day-trip to Flensburg about three weeks ago, and my sister bought these two products for me. I love highlighters, so I really wanted to try out the Essence soo glow! cream to powder highlighter. I got the shade 10 which is a champagne colour. It is a cream to powder product, and it looks very pretty when you swatch it, but when you blend it out, it basically just blends out to a lot of shimmer (and probably a bit too much shimmer for my liking). I haven’t played around with it much yet, so I’ll definitely try to find a way to make it work. I also got the Maybelline Fit Me! concealer which I’ve been wanting to try for a long time, but sadly even though I got the lightest shade (10), it’s still a bit too dark for my skintone right now, so I have to wait to use it until I (hopefully) get a bit tanned.

Bordeaux blazer

Bordeauxrød blazer - H&M

My mum bought me this blazer from H&M a couple of weeks back, and I just thought I would show it in a quick post. It’s really difficult to see in the picture, but the fabric actually has a pattern. Anyways, I love the colour, and I already have a few ideas of how to style it.

True match

I find it difficult to find a foundation that’s light enough to match my fair skin. I’d heard/read good things about the L’Oréal True Match foundation and I was happy to find a shade that matches my skin (in the autumn/winter time). I got the shade R1/C1 Rose Ivory. I have to say that I really like this foundation; it has a medium coverage (which I prefer) and it blends out really nicely. I would definitely repurchase this foundation, and I would actually really like to try the True Match concealer as well.

Provocalips + Kate

I have been waiting for the Rimmel Provocalips to come to Denmark, and when they finally did (and the drugstore had a 3 for 2 sale on Rimmel make-up) I went out and bought two different colours to try them out. I chose the colours 200 I’ll Call You and 550 Play With Fire. I’ll Call You just seemed like the perfect mid tone neutral pink, and it’s very pretty and very wearable. There were two different red shades, but Play With Fire which is the darker one really caught my eye. So far I’m quite impressed with these liquid lipsticks. They’re really pigmented and has a matte finish when they dry. You can leave them like that or you can apply the lock and shine balm which I’ve done the times I’ve worn them, and your lips look and feel great. Because there was a 3 for 2 sale when I bought them, I also picked up yet another Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick. I picked up no. 29 which is a purply, magenta type colour. So pretty!  You’ll see all of these lip products on my lips in make-up posts in the future.

Chocolate Bar

I’ve been drooling (pun intended) over this palette for almost a year, and I’m so glad that I finally decided to purchase it about a month ago. It’s (obviously) the Too Faced Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette and I purchaced it from BeautyBay.com alongside this Stila Convertible Color. This palette has an amazing colour selection; it’s mostly neutrals, but mixed in with some more colourful shadows. The palette contains 16 eye shadows, and as far as I can see and feel the shadows come in three different finishes/textures; there are 6 matte shades (White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Triple Fudge, Salted Caramel, Semi-Sweet, and Strawberry Bon Bon), 4 (slightly chalky) glittery shades (Gilded Ganache, Black Forest Truffle, Candied Violet, and Cherry Cordial), and 6 (buttery) metallic shades (Marzipan, Amaretto, Hazelnut, Créme Brulee, Haute Chocolate, and Champagne Truffle). My favourite finish/texture is definitely the latter. They are so buttery smooth and incredibly pigmented (my favourites right now are Marzipan, Amaretto, and Hazelnut). I love the matte shades as well which are mostly neutral shades (I’m in love with Salted Caramel!). The only disappointing thing about this palette is the glittery shades. The colours look gorgeous in the pan, but are quite chalky, and not as pigmented as the other shadows. All in all I do absolutely love this palette, and I would highly recommend it. Oh, and how cute is the packaging and shadow names:)

Lillium

In mid January I ordered two products from BeautyBay.com one of them being this Stila Convertible Color. It’s described as a dual lip and cheek cream. I’ve only worn it on my lips once, and it didn’t last very long on the lips, but I absolutely love it on the cheeks. This one is in the colour Lillium and it’s a very neutral light mauvy pink colour which is one of my preferred cheek colours. I would love to get some more of these, because it’s a really great cream product.

Maybe it’s Maybelline

DSC_5514

I’ve been purchasing quite a few lip products lately (no surprise there), and here’s another two. I bought these when Maybelline still had the 30 % off deal, and on top of that they had a deal where you would get a free brush if you bought two products. The brush is a big, fluffy powder brush, as you can see, and it’s actually quite nice. And now on to the lip products. I’ve written about my obsession with the Maybelline Color Drama lip pencil in 210 Keep It Classy, so I decided to pick up another shade. I chose the one called 410 Fab Orange, and I think the name describes the colour very well:) I also picked up my first Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick which I’ve heard many good things about. I chose the colour 162 Feel Pink which is a very pretty, neutral pink, and I love it. After my past few shopping trips I have definitely opened my eyes to Maybelline lip products, and I’m impressed.

Midi Monki

Sort knælang nederdel m. net yderst - Monki

I bought this skirt on sale at Monki three weeks ago. It’s a midi skirt which is not something I usually wear but have wanted to try out for a long time. I think a midi skirt adds a classic twist to an outfit, but this one is a bit more edgy, so I’m really exited about styling this skirt.

Neutral pinks

DSC_5465

I did quite a lot of shopping in January and I still haven’t shown you a lot of the stuff I bought. I bought these three products when the drugstores had a 2 for 1 deal on Rimmel and a 30 % off deal on Maybelline. From Rimmel I bought another Lasting Finish Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour Balm and a Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush. The Colour Balm is in the colour 110 Make Me Blush. I’m really into neutral pinks at the moment, and I been swatching this one on the back of my hand many times and finally decided to get it. It looks more like a neutral pink in the tube and on the hand swatch than on the lips. It’s less neutral and more pink on the lips, but it’s still very pretty. The blusher is in the colour 020 Pink Rose, and even though it looks like a peachy nude in the pan, it’s actually more pink on the skin (which fits with the name), but I really like that. I really like the colour and I really like the texture and finish as well, and I been wearing it quite a lot since I bought it. Last, but not least, I bought my first Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil. It’s in the colour 210 Keep It Classy and I’m obsessed! It’s obviously a jumbo pencil type product, but it’s sooo smooth and really easy to apply. It’s long lasting as well, and the colour… the colour is incredible. It’s the most gorgeous, deep, neutral, rosy pink. One of my favourite lip products at the moment.
