Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing the MAC lipstick in collaboration with Dita Von Teese, and I’m in love! It’s definitely my kind of red.

The first month of 2016 has come to an end. January has been pretty much the same since I started at Uni. I think this year January has been particulary tough; I had three exam and no holiday because my new courses started last Monday. I’m really tired of the stormy, rainy weather, and I’m in general really looking forward to spring. But we have one more official month left of winter, and I hope it’s going to be a good one. Before jumping into the last winter month, here’s some of my favourite things from January.
Black pyjama bottoms with snowflakes from H&M: I bought these pyjama bottoms the same day that I bought these items, and they came in really handy, when I fell ill while I was writing an exam paper. They are the most comfortable thing I own and they’re so warm.
MAC eye shadow in All That Glitters: This is one of the eye shadows I got for Christmas and I have been wearing it a ton. Most times I’ve been wearing it together with my MAC Satin Taupe eye shadow which has been my go-to eye shadow look this month.
Sleek Face Form contouring and blush palette – bronzer/contour shade: I rediscovered the bronzer/contour shade in this little Sleek palette. I haven’t had much time to do my make-up this month, and I definitely didn’t have time to both contour and bronze, and this powder is the perfect in-between.
The Bourne trilogy (films): Earlier this month I watched The Bourne trilogy with my dad. I’ve been wanting to watch these films for a while, and I thought they were great. They’re the kind of films where you have to pay attention to keep up, but that’s usually what makes a film interesting.
Come Away With Me – Norah Jones (album): I got this album for Christmas (it was on my wishlist) and it’s pretty much the only thing I’ve been listening to in January. There’s not one song on the album that I don’t like. It’s from 2002, but I think it’s timeless if you like this kind of music.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing my new MAC lipstick in Flat Out Fabulous and I love it! It definitely made me feel a bit more fabulous:)

I purchased some lip products from MAC earlier this month, and I thought it was about time that I showed them to you.
First off I purchased the lipstick in collaboration with Dita Von Teese which was an online exclusive product. It’s called Von Teese and it’s a matte tomato red. Both the sleek black packaging and the lipstick itself has her signature one it which is such a nice touch.
I finally puchased the lip pencil in Talking Points which is a hot pink. I’ve been swatching this lip pencil countless times at my local MAC counter, and I’m so happy it’s finally mine.
Lastly I purchased this Look In A Box lip kit in Fashion Lover. I found it in the section of products that will soon be out of stock, and it contained two lip products I had on my wish list; Flat Out Fabulous lipstick and Heroine lip pencil. It also contained a lipglass in the shade Rhytm. Flat Out Fabulous is described as a bright plum and it has a retro matte finish. Heroine is a bright purple, and Rhytm is very close in colour to Flat Out Fabulous. I’m really excited about all these lip products, and I’m sure you’ll see them on my lips on the blog in the future.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m really into purple lips at the moment, and I’m actually wearing the same lipstick as I’m wearing in these pictures today. To be honest I actually think I’m wearing the exact same make-up look today.

I recently bought the new L’Oréal True Match foundation, because I had heard good things about it. I wasn’t so keen on the original one, but I thought I would give this one a go. I got the shade 1.5 N which is a good match for me. I had the old one in shade 1, and it was too light and too pink on me. So far I like this new version of the True Match foundation better than the old one, but I’ve still tried foundations I like more. It’s a very glowy foundation, so if you don’t like glowy skin, this is not for you. I happen to be really into glowy skin at the moment, so I like that about it. I also repurchased the L’Oréal True Match concealer in shade 1 which I love for my under eye area.
Here’s the make-up I wore Monday December 28. It was the first time I wore my new MAC eye shadows, and as you can see they’re very subtle but pretty. I think they look great paired with the muted orange lip.

I recently found some more of these discontinued Collection 2000 Glam Metallics liquid eyeliners and they were so cheap, so I bought the colours I didn’t already have. The blue one is called Groupie and it’s the one I’m most excited about. It’s a turquoise with a green-ish iridescence to it. The green is called Grunge and the gold is called Fierce, and I’m looking forward to trying them all out.
I don’t go anywhere without setting my eyebrows with some clear brow gel (we can’t have those brow hairs flying around). I’ve been using the e.l.f. Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara for years and I love it, but when I had almost run out of the one I was using, I thought why not try another clear brow gel. I picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting brow mascara in Transparent and wore the two brow gels at the same time; one on each eyebrow.
Both brow gels kept my eyebrows in place all day, but I did fell like I had to check up on the Maybelline one every now and again. I find the e.l.f one more stiff than the Maybelline one which I prefer. The wand on the Maybelline one is a bit strange as well (it’s like a ball), so overall I prefer the e.l.f. one. The Maybelline one is not bad; I just think the e.l.f. one is better (and it’s cheaper too).
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing a gorgeous duochrome eye shadow from my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette, but you can’t see the shift of colours that well in these pictures. In real life though it looks stunning. It’s definitely a dupe for MAC’s Blue Brown pigment, and it’s my favourite eye shadow in the palette.
