Perfect summer colour

DSC_9549DSC_9552

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This lip colour is one of my favourites this summer. It’s such a pretty, warm, coral pink which is pretty much the perfect summer colour.

Tutorial: Urban Decay Naked 2

A while ago I was asked if I did tutorials which I’ve never done, but I thought I’d give it a go. I was asked to do an eye make-up tutorial using the Urban Decay Naked 2, so that’s what I’ve done. Here we go.

1-4

5-8

  1. I always prime my eyelids before I apply any eye shadow. Here I used MAC Paint Pot in Painterly.
  2. Apply Foxy all over the lid to set the base
  3. Apply Tease in the crease (and lower lash line) and blend out. This is your transition shade.
  4. Apply Snakebite on the outer half of the lid (and outer half of the lower lash line) and blend out.
  5. Apply Suspect on the inner half of the lid (and inner half of the lower lash line) and blend out.
  6. Apply Bootycall on the browbone and inner corner.
  7. Curl your lashes (if needed) and apply your favourite mascara (mine is Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express).
  8. You can apply any colour eyeliner you wish on your waterline, but I prefer a nude eyeliner (Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige).

And you’re done! I hope this was useful, and if you would like to see more tutorials, please let me know.

Perfect shade of purple

DSC_9539DSC_9538

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This is pretty much the perfect shade of purple for a lipstick in my opinion. Every time I wear this lipstick I think to myself; why don’t I wear this lipstick more often.

5 favourites – June

Another month has come to an end, and I can’t believe how fast time goes by. June was probably the toughest month ever exam wise, but now I’m enjoying my summer holiday. I wish the warm weather would come back soon though. Anyways, before we jump right into July, here’s some om my favourite things from the month of June.

Sorte gladiator sandaler - Vagabond

Black gladiator sandals by Vagabond: In the beginning of June the weather in Denmark was amazing, and I think I wore these sandals everyday for week. I bought them a couple of years ago, but the Danish weather is rarely warm enough to wear sandals, so I hadn’t used them much until recently. I love them because they remind me of something the characters from Disney’s Hercules would wear, and Hercules is my favourite Disney film.

MAC lip pencil in Soar: As I wrote here, I’d been wanting this lip pencil for so long, so when it was finally back in stock I purchased it, and I love it. It’s such a beautiful brown pink mauve colour that goes with so many different lip colours and it also looks gorgeous on its own.

MAC Prep + Prime Fix +: Another MAC product I’ve loved this past month and that I’m sure I’ll continue to love is the famous Fix + finishing spray. I love that this product has several purposes; it makes your skin look and feel lovely, and it’s amazing for intensifying eye shadows.

Marc Jacobs Honey perfume: I got this perfume about a year ago, and I’ve always loved it, but it’s been my go-to scent this past month because I find that it’s quite summery.

me before you

Me Before You (film): Ever since I first saw the trailer for this film, I knew I wanted to watch it. I went to the cinema with a friend two days ago to watch it, and I wasn’t disappointed. It was such a sweet film with lovely characters, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear (or two).

Into nude lips

DSC_9480DSC_9486

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m getting more and more into nude lips, and this NYX soft matte lip cream in Cannes is a good one.

(Base: primer – Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer 002, foundation – L’Oréal Nude Magique Cushion dewy glow foundation (shade: 01 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shades: Soft Light + Cream) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shade: Sculpt) + The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing powder (shade: 02 fair matte), blusher – Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 10 Nude Mauve, highlighter – MAC Gleamtones powder in Dunes At Dusk. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: White Chocolate + Milk Chocolate + Semi-Sweet + Cherry Cordial + Amaretto + Marzipan), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting brow mascara in Transparent. Lips: Essence lipliner in 11 In the Nude + NYX soft matte lip cream in Cannes)

Another beautybay haul

DSC_9741

I placed an order on Beautybay.com a little while ago and I thought I would show you what I purchased.

DSC_9762DSC_9765

The products I was most excited to try were the liquid lipsticks from L.A. Splash. I ordered three different kinds to test the formulas out, and I’ll make an updating post about these when I’ve tried all of them out. I got a Lip Couture in Ghoulish, a Studio Shine Lip Lustre in Catrina, and a Velvetmatte in Flix n Chill.

DSC_9751DSC_9754

In my last Beautybay order I purchased two Makeup Geek blushers which I love, so I thought I would finally try out Makeup Geek eye shadows. I chose Cupcake (dusty pink) and Chickadee (warm yellow) which are both matte shadows. I haven’t worn Cupcake yet, but I’ve used Chickadee to warm up my crease a couple of times and it looked very pretty.

DSC_9749

I also purchased two more Morphe brushes; M411 and M510. M411 is a more precise crease brush and M510 I use for highlighting. Morphe brushes are really good quality brushes for affordable prices.

DSC_9747

Lastly, I purchased some Ardell Demi Wispies false lashes and some Duo lash adhesive. I would like to wear false lashes more often on special occasions.

DSC_9760

And then I also got a free gift. I chose a sample size Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear brow gel which I’m excited to try out as soon as I’ve used up the brow gel I’m using at the moment.

Grey and pink

DSC_9429

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really love grey and pink together, so I matched my make-up to my T-shirt.

(Base: primer – Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer 002, foundation – L’Oréal Nude Magique Cushion dewy glow foundation (shade: 01 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Warm Rose. Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush palette (shade: Light 373),  blusher – Makeup Geek blusher in Spellbound, highlighter – NARS Silver Factory illuminator. Beautiful, bold, unique

Here’s the make-up I wore Tuesday May 17. This dark purple lipstick is so beautiful, bold, and unique, and I love it.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette (shades: Foxy + Tease + Suspect) + MAC Satin Taupe eye shadow + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: MAC Night Crawler lip pencil + MAC Witching Hour lipstick)

Latest MAC lippies

DSC_9693

I want to quickly show you my latest MAC purchases, because I’m really excited about them.

DSC_9688DSC_9696

First off is this gorgeous lipstick from the MAC x Chris Chang collection. I think this is one of the most beautiful packagings from a limited edition collection I’ve ever seen. The collection has five lipsticks and there was a couple of other shades I wanted as well, but they were sold out. I’m really happy I got my hands on this shade though, because it’s such a gorgeous yellow-based red which is my go-to kind of lip colour. It’s called Vermillion Vee and it has a matte finish.

DSC_9699

I also decided to finally pick up the lipstick in Faux which I’ve been swatching so many times at my local MAC store over the past many months. It’s a beautiful a mauvy pink nude and it has a satin finish.

DSC_9702

Lastly, I purchased the lip pencil in Soar which I’ve been wanting for a really long time as well, but it had been out of stock on the Danish MAC web page for ages. It was back for a short while and now it’s out of stock again, so I’m really glad I managed to get it, because it’s so beautiful.
