I see red

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the Juvia’s Place The Saharan eye shadow palette for the first time, and I’ve worn it many times since. The colours are gorgeous, and I’ve been really into red eye shadows for a really long time now.

Very neutral

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As much as I love bright colours, sometimes I just feel like wearing something very neutral.

Small random beauty haul

DSC_3823DSC_3822DSC_3827DSC_4104

Within the past one and a half months, I’ve bought/gotten a few different beauty products that I would like to share with you. The brand Essence came to Denmark not long ago, so I decided to try out their All About Matt! oil control paper. I haven’t tested them out properly yet, but I like the idea of having blotting papers for on the go. When my mum visited me in the beginning of October, we went shopping where I got these clothes and I also bought a MAC eye shadow brush on sale and my mum gave me the Urban Decay eyeshadow. The brush is number 246, and I don’t know if it has been discontinued or why it was on sale, but it sure was really inexpensive which is unlike MAC brushes. The Urban Decay eyeshadow is in the shade Relish, and I’ve worn it so much. It’s such a beautiful burgundy shade, and I really like the formula. I recently made an online MAC purchase which I’ll show in the nearest future (you might be able to guess what it is) and as a free gift, I got the Patentpolish lip pencil in the shade Go for Girlie. I haven’t worn it yet, but I have another Patentpolish lip pencil which I like, and it’s always nice to get a free gift.

Former favourite

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The lipstick was my favourite for so long, before Jeffree Star’s Velour liquid lipstick in Redrum took over, and I still love it.

Grey/taupe

DSC_3602DSC_3607

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I don’t wear cool-toned grey/taupe eye make-up very often anymore (it used to be me go-to), but I still love it, and it looks really good with a red lip.

(Base: primers – e.l.f. Blemish Control Face Primer + Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Perfect in-between purple and pink

DSC_3586DSC_3590

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. If you are scared of wearing purple lipstick, MAC’s Flat Out Fabulous is the perfect in-between purple and pink shade.

Blemish Control Face Primer + Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Pinky/rosy

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. A very simple pinky/rosy make-up look which I thought went well with the pastel coloured outfit.

Blemish Control Face Primer + L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powder – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Benefit Hoola bronzer, blusher – NARS Sarah Moon Cheek & Lip palette in True Story (shade: Myth), highlighter – blusher – NARS Sarah Moon Cheek & Lip palette in True Story (shade: Devotee). Grey monochrome

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really love monochrome make-up looks, and a grey monochrome look seemed to be the perfect match for my navy and grey outfit.

Blemish Control Face Primer + Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing powder (shade: 02 fair matte), blusher – MAC Mineralize blush in Modest Blush, highlighter – Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Ice Cold. Silver shadow

DSC_3540DSC_3541

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve never worn silver eye shadow all over my eyelids before, but I thought it was fun to try something different and it matched the silver skirt I wore that day.

5 favourites – October

October has come to an end which means that in only one month it’ll finally be December. October was a very busy month for me; I’ve been working hard on my master’s thesis and I also went on a choir trip to Helsinki. In November my main focus will definitely be my thesis, and I’m pretty sure that December will be here in no time then. But first, here are some of my favourite things from the month of October.

Bordeauxrøde 'herre'sko - Duffy

Burgundy Oxford style shoes by Duffy: I bought these shoes years ago, but I hadn’t really worn them much. I started wearing them more this year, and this past month I’ve been wearing them a lot. I love the dark burgundy colour and the chunky soles.

Belsac taske (second hand)

Warm beige shoulder bag by Belsac: I bought this bag at a second hand store in July, and I decided to bring it with my to Helsinki earlier this month. It was the perfect sized bag for a 5 day trip, and as I’ve mentioned before I love the colour and shape of it.

DSC_3702

Juvia’s Place The Saharan eye shadow palette: I expressed my love for this palette in my last post. It’s so gorgeous, and I’m really looking forward to play around with it even more.

FunnyGirl-W

Funny Girl (film): I’d been wanting to watch this film for ages, and I finally got to this month. I started watching it in Helsinki with one of the girls from the choir, and then we watched the rest in Helsinki and Riga airport respectively on our way back home. I already new and loved the music, and Barbra Streissand and Omar Sharif did such an amazing job portraying Fanny Brice and Nick Arnstein.

A.C. Perch Afternoon te

A. C. Perch Afternoon blend tea: When my mum visisted me in the beginning of October, we went to a beautiful tea house and had delicious tea, scones, and petit fours. We tried two different types of tea and our favourite was the Afternoon blend which we purchased a bag of each to take home, so I’ve been drinking a lot of it since.
