MAC sale + Pony Park haul

A little while back I bought these MAC products on sale. I picked up a new 217 brush; my old one is not looking good. I also picked up two single eyeshadows. I have a 15 pan MAC palette that I would like to complete one day, and now that I’ve added Wedge and Patina, I’m one step closer. I purchased a few limited edition products as well. The mini Fix+ is in the white tea scent.

The two other limited edition products I purchased on sale were the Electric Wonder Next To Nothing bronzing powder in the shade Canyon Dreaming and the Shiny Pretty Things lipstick in the shade Both Cheeks.

Lastly, I also decided to get one of the Extra Dimension skinfinishes from the Pony Park collection (this one was not on sale). I got the shade Cold Comfort and it has a blue shift. I don’t have anything like this in my highlighter collection, and the packaging is stunning too.

It’s halloween today, which means that October will be over by tomorrow, which means that there’s only one more month left before December! But who I’m a kidding, I’ve been christmassing since the beginning of September. I even have a Christmas favourite this month, so let’s talk about those favourites.

Hvide sneakers m. Anders And - MOA (Master of Arts)

MOA Donald Duck sneakers: I’ve had these sneakers for a while now, and I’ve worn them the other months too, but for some reason they have been my go-to sneakers this past month. I guess they have just been working well with a lot of my outfits from October.

Maybelline City bronzer (shade: 100 Light Cool): I wasn’t sure I liked this bronzer at first, but the more I use the more I like it. It has a yellow undertone, which suprisingly looks great with a lot of make-up looks.

Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Celebrity Skin: I’ve had this lipstick for a long time, and it’s been my favourite nude lipstick ever since I bought it, but I’ve reached for it so many times this past month that I had to mention it. It’s the perfect nude in my opinion.

Essence This Is Me gel nail polish (shade: 03 Bold): I have an Essence haul coming up, but I couldn’t wait to share this nail polish with you. I love Essence’s nail polishes in general, and this is the most beautiful dark nude shade.

Christmas Songs – Frank Sinatra (album): I couldn’t choose just one Christmas song that has been my favourite this past month, but my favourite Christmas album has been this Frank Sinatra one. I’m a huge fan of old, classic Christmas songs, so it’s no wonder that I enjoy these Sinatra songs. I decided to feature the song ‘Christmas Dreaming’, which pretty much sums up my life right now:)

First impressions: L’Oréal Infaillable Longwear Shaping Stick foundation

It’s been a while since the last time I did a first impressions post on a foundation, so I wanted to try out this stick foundation from L’Oréal.

I’m not familiar with stick foundations, but I’ve always thought that they would be easy and quick to use. I don’t think that’s the case with this one. I applied it directly on to my face and blended it out with a sponge, which is how I usually blend out my foundation. It was so difficult though, and it took a really long time. The stick doesn’t contain that much product, and I found that the coverage is very light, so you have to use quite a bit of product to cover your entire face. As you can see it has quite a dewy finish (I’m wearing a regular none-glowy primer underneath), which is okay though I personally prefer a more matte foundation. Concealers blend in fine with the foundation, but not great. I wore the foundation for about 9,5 hours and it looked okay at the end of the day; it had separated around the nose area and my face looked slightly more shiny than right after application (the photo above was taking shorty after applying the foundation). A positive thing to say about this product is that it removed very easily, but overall I’m not a fan of this foundation. I might give it a second change, but based on my first impressions, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Collective Sephora haul

I actually don’t order things from Sephora very often, but I’ve been craving the Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions palette for months and months, so when I found it on sale I had to have plus a few more things.

I’ve been wanting to try the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes for a while, especially the Amethyst one, and when I found several of them on sale, I also decided to get Ruby Obsessions and Emerald Obsessions. I’ve only worn Emerald Obsessions so far, and I really liked the looks I created with it.

Another product I’ve been wanting to try for so long is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders. I decided to get a palette (Etherial Edit) with an Ambient Lighting powder, blush, and strobe lighting powder.

I also (finally) bought some new eyelash curlers from Sephora Collection, and then I decided to try these Marc Jacobs Glitter Glam Crayons in (Gem)Stoned and Glam Jam. I’ve heard many good things about Marc Jacobs eyeliners, and so far I’m impressed.

Tribe and triggered
