Pretty in purple and pink

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Of course I had to match my make-up to my outfit and went for lilac eyes and barbie pink lips, and I think it’s such a pretty look.

Collective beauty haul: high end and drugstore

I have a collective beauty haul to share with you. It’s a mix of high end and drugstore products.

Let’s start with the most exciting product; the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette. I’ve been wanting this palette since the beginning of the year, and I’m so happy that it’s finally mine. I love Huda Beauty eyeshadows, and these colours are absolutely stunning.

Next up is another palette, but this one is at the opposite end of the price spectrum. I’ve never tried anything from J-Cat Beauty before, but I was intrigued by this pocket size palette. It’s called the J-Cat X-Treme Access Pocket Shadow in Pops of Paparazzi, and as you can see it has a bunch of fun, bright colours. I haven’t tried this palette yet, but I’m excited to give it a go.

And now on to a couple of Fenty Beauty lip products. I’ve only heard good things about the Gloss Bombs, so I purchased a set of two to try them out, and I really like them. The shades are $weet mouth + Fenty glow. I also purchased the new shade of the Stunna Lip paints. I haven’t tried this product out yet, but I thought the shade Underdawg was beautiful. A perfect autumn/winter shade.

I love MAC Fix+ and use it everyday, and I love trying out new scents. I’ve never tried the watermelon scent before, so I had to buy this set of a full size Fix+ Watermelon and a mini regular Fix+.

I’ve also purchased a few things from Wet n Wild. I’ve been wanting to try out the Hello Halo blushlighter for a while, so I got the shade Highlight Bling, which is the lightest one. I’ve also purchased a few more brushes from Wet n Wild. They’re really nice for the affordable price.

And last but not least, I decided to get these three items from the Essence Wanna Bee My Honey? collection. I got the two brushes; and eyeshadow brush and a highlight brush. I also picked up the luminizing primer in 01 You’re Bee-autiful!. How pretty are these items!

Cremated

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This is my first full eye look using the Jeffree Star Cremated palette, and I really like how the look turned out. I’ve also discovered or rediscovered that grey and lilac is a very nice colour combo.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – NYX Ombre Blush in Mauve Me, highlighter – Sleek Highlighting palette in Solstice (shade: Hemisphere). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Cremated palette (shades: Casket Ready + Life Insurance + R.I.P. + Goodbye. + After Life), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Lavender Blush. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Self Control)

All matte eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve done a couple of different pink and orange make-up looks this year, but I think this is my first one with an all matte eye look (apart from the inner corner and browbone highlight). I really like it though.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blusher – MAC You’ve Got Me Feeling powder blush, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Postmodernist Peach. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Conspiracy palette (shades: My Pills + Tanacon + Cheese Dust) + Jeffree Star Mini Breaker palette (shade: Bubblegum) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Gosh Velvet Touch lipliner in 005 Flirty Orange + Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick in Saw-C)

Bright and fun colour combo

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Hot pink/fuchsia and turquoise is a colour combo that I need to play around with more (both when it comes to make-up and outfits), because it’s so bright and fun.

Healthy Glow Primer Oil in 01 Violet It Bloom, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Blood Sugar palette (shades: Glucose + Sugarcane + Cake Mix + Candy Floss) + Jeffree Star Thirsty palette (shade: Splash) + Jeffree Star Conspiracy palette (shade: Ranch), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Fresh). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: NYX Suede Matte lip liner in Clinger + MAC Both Cheeks lipstick)

Yellow-based nudes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to wear a pretty green eye look with this outfit and paired it with another yellow-based brown nude lipstick. I’m really liking those kind of nudes at the moment.

(Base: primers – Maybelline Face Studio Prime Pore Minimizing Primer + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. 5 favourites – August

Summer is over by tomorrow (calendar-wise), and autumn will arrive. The weather has been more autumnal this past week, though it looks like it’s going to be slightly warmer again this week. I’m excited about the weather getting colder though and dressing for autumn. I’m also excited about the fact that we’re getting closer to December, which is my favourite month:) But for now, let’s talk about some of my favourite things from August.

Lilac strappy heels: I know, I haven’t even gotten around to hauling these shoes yet, but I’ve worn them a lot throughout August, so I had to feature them in this post. They’re from H&M, and they’re the perfect strappy heels. And the colour is amazing! I’ve been obsessed with everything purple lately.

Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum: I’ve been loving a more glowy make-up look lately, and I’m going to feature two of my favourite products to achieve that look. The first one is this primer serum which feels very hydrating on the skin, and it gives your skin a nice and subtle glow. It’s very affordable too.

MAC Fix+ Magic Radiance: MAC Fix+ is one of my holy grail products. I use it every time I wear make-up in some version or other, so I’m always up for trying a new one. The Magic Radiance version is very hydrating and gives your skin a nice, subtle glow (I feel like I’m repeating myself. Wait, I am). I really enjoy this product.

Lipton Vanilla & Caramel black tea: I love everything vanilla scented or flavoured and the same goes for caramel, so when my boyfriend introduced me to this tea, I had a strong feeling that I would love it, and I do. I’m actually drinking a cup of it as I’m writing this.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (film): I’m a huge Eurovision fan, so I was so excited to watch this Netflix orignal film. It was obviously a comedy, but the music was so good; way better than I expected. And it was incredible seeing so many former Eurovision contestants; even my favourite winner of all time, Salvador Sobral, was featured. If you like Eurovision or just great music and comedy this is a must watch.

Controversy and heroine

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to try out a couple of new products including the Jeffree Star Mini Controversy palette (Emerald edition) and the MAC Heroine lipstick, and I think the look turned out fun.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer –  MAC Next To Nothing bronzing powder (shade: Canyon Dreamin’), blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in So Natural, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Double Gleam. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette (shades: Silk Cremé + Beam) + Jeffree Star Mini Controversy palette – Emerald edition (shades: Controversy + Put It Back! + The Simulation), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Electric). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Heroine lip pencil + MAC Heroine lipstick)
