Mini retro

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the Natasha Denona Mini Retro palette for the first time, and I loved it. The quality is amazing, and the colours are so pretty. I’m also in love with the nude lipstick. It’s the Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick in Naked Body, and it’s pretty much the perfect nude.

Small, random Cocopanda haul

I have a small, sort of random Cocopanda (Danish online beauty store) haul to share with you today. I purchased some back-up Real Techniques Miracle complexion sponges, an e.l.f. small stibble brush, and another shade of the e.l.f. 16HR Camo concealer (matte finish). I got the shade Light Sand, and it’s a much better match for me compared to the previous shades I’ve tried. The e.l.f. Baked Blush in the shade Rich Rose was a free gift.

I purchased one more product from e.l.f. namely the HD Powder in Soft Luminance. It’s quite glowy, but also quite pretty.

I also bought one of the popular NYX Shine Loud High Pigment Lip Shine lipsticks. I picked up the shade Shake Things Up, which is a beautiful dark purple, and this lipstick really doesn’t go anywhere. So if you’re looking for a super long-lasting and pigmented lipstick give the NYX Shine Loud High Pigment Lip Shine a go.

The two most exciting products in this haul are both from Ofra. I purchased two collab products; the Ofra x Samantha March River bronzer duo and the Ofra x Steph Toms Milk & Cookies highlighter. I really like both of these products. I like the split pan designs, and all four shades are beautiful.

5 favourites – May

The last month of spring is coming to an end and by tomorrow it’ll officially be summer (if you ask the calendar). We are finally getting some warmer weather in Denmark as well, so it’s great timing. Anyways, let’s just get to it. Let’s talk about some favourites from the month of May.

Denim lace up boots: I was not sure how I would feel about these denim lace up (with a zipper on the side) boots from Monki when I first purchased them, but I love them. Denim is a neutral to me, so these boots are perfect for when you feel that neither black, white, or brown shoes go with your outfit.

NYX The Marshmellow primer: I’m sure that I’m not the only one who’s been enjoying this sweet-smelling primer from NYX. It’s popular for a reason; it feels nice and smooth on the skin and it smells great too. It hasn’t only been a favourite of mine for the past month, but for several months now, so I thought it was time to feature it in a favourites post.

Essence Lash Princess false lash effect mascara: I’ve been discovering so many great mascaras lately, this Essence mascara being another one. I’d heard great things about this mascara for years, and I’m so glad that I finally decided to try it. I’ll be posting my first impressions on it at some point where I’ll get in to more details about it.

Essence #pinkandproud Strong soapy brow styler (01 Stronger Than Yesterday!): It’ll still be a while before I get around to posting the haul that includes this soapy brow styler, but I had to include it in this post, because I’ve been loving it. It’s the first soap brow product I’ve tried, and there are probably better ones out there, but I’m still so impressed by the brow look I can create with this, and you can’t beat the price tag!

Kingsman: The Secret Service (film): I’d heard the name of this film, but hadn’t really any idea of what it was really about other than being a spy film, but I was pleasantly surprised by the over the top comedy sequences, and the cast is incredible. I also watched the sequel, and I really liked that one too, but the first one is my favourite. If you like action and comedy together, give this film a go. You won’t regret it.

Favourite lilac eyeshadows

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve tried so many new eyeshadow palettes lately, and I’ve loved most of them, but when it comes to lilac eyeshadows I’m pretty sure that my favourite is still the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Lust palette, so I had to use that palette for this look.

(Base: primer – NYX The Marshmellow Primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer (shade: 00 Ivory), powders – Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Milani Silky Matte Bronzing powder in Sun Light, blusher – Clinique Cheek Pop palette: Warm Up (shade: Nude Pop), highlighter – Essence Glow Like A Pro loose highlighter (04 Purple Scandal). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette (shades: Your Majesty + Deviant + Vivid Mood + Take The Crown) + Jeffree Star Alien palette (shade: Abduction), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – NYX Epic Wear Liner Stick in Periwinkle Pop. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Mannequin + Jeffree Star The Gloss in Sickening)

Same colours

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I loved the blue and brown colour combo of my outfit so much that I decided to use the same colours for my make-up look, and I think it turned out exactly how I imagined it.

Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer in Butta Bisquit, blusher – Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in 02 Petal Poppin, highlighter – MAC Stobe Face Glaze (shade: Let’s Make Waves). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – By Beauty Bay Book of Magic palette (shades: Vanish + Elixir + Potion) + NikkieTutorials x Beautybay pressed pigment palette (shades: Mama Tutorials + Ivy), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Electric). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Essence Invisible Kiss transparent lipliner in 01 Multitalent Wonder + Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick in Chocolate Fondue)

Versatile palette

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This is the second eye look I created with the BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette, and as you can see it’s very different from the first look I created with the palette. It’s such a versatile palette, so stay tuned for more looks.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + e.l.f. 16HR Camo matte concealer (shade: Fair Warm), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Essence Mini Matte fixing powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Essence Hello, Good Stuff! matte & glow bronzer in 10 Cocoa-Cool, blusher – Essence The Blush in 40 Beloved, highlighter – MAC Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio: Light (shade: Glitzed Out). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette (shades: So Good + Stud Muffin + Hot & Fresh + Baker’s Dozen + Sugared), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliners – NYX Slim eye pencil in Sapphire + MAC Dual Powerprint eye pencil (shade: Be Cool Bb). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour lip liner in Redrum + Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick in The Perfect Red)

Rusty

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used the By Beauty Bay New Romantic palette for the second time, and I obviously went for the rusty shades to match my corduroy suit. I think those shades look great paired with the hot pink lip.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – Essence Camouflage+ Healthy Glow concealer in 10 Light Ivory, powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – MAC Radiant Matte bronzing powder (shade: Beige-ing Beauty), blusher – NYX Sweet Cheeks matte creamy powder blush in Summer Breeze, highlighter – Essence Good Luck Charm face & body highlighter in 01 Glitter Shower For Superpower. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – By Beauty Bay New Romantic palette (shades: Vanilla + Embers + Mars + Penny)+ Juvia’s Place The Douce palette (shade: Tart), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – NYX Epic Wear Liner Stick in Pink Spirit. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: NYX Suede Matte lip liner in Clinger + MAC Both Cheeks lipstick)

Another Beauty Bay haul (early March)

It’s time for another Beauty Bay haul. This one is full of items I received in early March.

Let’s start with another BH Cosmetics palette. I loved the Blueberry Muffin palette so much that I thought I would pick up another 16 pan palette from BH Cosmetics. This is the Lost In Los Angeles palette, and it’s such a pretty palette. It consists of mainly pastel shades, but it also has some brighter shades, and I’ve really enjoyed using it so far.

Jeffree Star released a Blood Sugar anniversary collection in late February I think, and the only thing I purchased from the collection was the Cavity Skin Frost highlighter palette. The first two shades, Icing IV and Candy Frost, are absolutely stunning; I wore Candy Frost last week, and it has the most stunning gold shift to it that doesn’t really show in the pan. Rose Cold and Frozen Prick will probably be too dark on me, but they sure are fun shades.

I also purchased another Supreme Gloss from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. This is a pretty nude in the shade House Tour.

Then I found a bunch of the Revolution x Friends lip products on sale, so I had to picked them up. I got the Chandler, Joey, and Monica lipglosses and the Rachel and Monica lipsticks. I have worn all of these products, and they were all pretty.

These lip products are from a limited edition Valentine’s Day collection from Wet n Wild. The lipgloss is the Valentine’s Mega Slicks lipgloss in the shade Crushed Grapes, and the lipstick is the Valentine’s Mega Last High-Shine lip color in Raining Rubies. I haven’t worn these yet, but I’m definitely going to wear them together.

The brand Soda was new to Beauty Bay when I purchased these items. It’s a very affordable brand, and so far I’ve liked most of their products. I’ve already mentioned the #wowbrow Flat Brow Liner in the shade Kim in my April 5 favourites, so obviously I love that product. I have not tried the #rainbowrave Unicorn Mascara in Fresh Grass yet. It’s a green mascara, so I’m waiting for the right look to wear it with. I purchased the #talkofthetown Lipstick in the shade Rock on!, and it’s such a great lipstick. I love the colour, the pigmentation, and the finish. The last product I picked up from Soda was the #babygethigher Pressed Highlighter in 102, which is a really pretty two-toned highlighter.

Most of the Soda products come with stickers, so this is what my products look like now (apart from the brow liner – the stickers didn’t want to stick to it).

Matte tricolour eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to play with make-up and create a different kind of eye look, and this matte look turned out quite fun. I used the same technique when I created this rainbow eye look.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain) or Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory) (forgot to add it when I posted this look), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + e.l.f. 16HR Camo matte concealer (shade: Fair Warm), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – Essence The Blush in 30 Breathtaking, highlighter – Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in 001 Universal (shade: Strobe White). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + By Beauty Bay Sunset Horizons palette (shades: Zest + Sorbet + Thunder) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Screamin’). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Essence Stay 8h lipliner in 08 Passionate + Jeffree Star Supreme Gloss in Red Affair)

Simple and pretty

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It was my first time using the BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette, and even though this is not my favourite look I’ve done with the palette, it’s still a very pretty look.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 05), powders – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Ethereal Light) + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Essence Hello, Good Stuff! matte & glow bronzer in 10 Cocoa-Cool, blusher – Clinique Cheek Pop blush in 08 Melon Pop, highlighter – Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle highlighter duo (shade: Fire Crystal). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette (shades: Fluffy + Delish + Cravings + Sugared), mascaras – Essence Volume Booster lash primer + Fenty Beauty Full Frontal – Volume, Lift & Curl mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Fruit Cocktail lip pencil + MAC Sugar Sweet Cameo lipstick + Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in $weet Mouth)
