I Heart Revolution x Elf collection

When I saw this collection from I Heart Revolution my Christmas loving heart skipped a beat. Elf is one of my favourite Christmas films, and this collection is the cutest, so of course I bought most of the collection.

The collection includes two eyeshadow palettes, and I got both. This is the Ninny Muggins palette, and it’s adorable! I love the the packaging of this whole collection, but the packaging on this palette might be my favourite. The colour scheme of this palette is very cute too.

This next palette is insane. It’s the OMG palette book collection, which is basically four palettes in one. I haven’t worn this palette yet, but by the looks of it my two favourite “pages” in this palette book are the second and third ones.

The last eye products in the collection are the Eye Glisten eyeshadows. I purchased both shades. The gold one is called New York and the pink/red one is called North Pole. I’m really excited to try these.

This is my most used product from the collection so far. It’s the I Heart Revolution x Elf primer, and it has a beautiful golden glow to it. The perfect base for festive make-up looks.

I also purchased the fixing spray, because it was so cute.

I had to pick up one of the Christmas Cheer highlighters as well. This is the shade Jovie, and it’s the lightest of three shades. I love the quote written inside of packaging. “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!”

I bought two of the three Candy Cane lipglosses. I picked up the brown nude shade called Best Coffee and the pink shade called Cheer.

The last product (or products) I picked up was the Smiling’s My Favourite lip balm & lip scrub duo. The collection also came with some bath and body products, but I decided to skip on those.

Lots of red lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. If you haven’t guessed it already, you’ll be seeing red lips in most of my make-up posts throughout December, because red lips just go with all my Christmassy outfits. However, I’ll try to wear different shades and finishes, such as a sparkly, metallic lip like the one I’m wearing in these pictures.

5 favourites – November

Yes! December is finally here. Well, by tomorrow it is. November just flew by, which I don’t mind, because I’m just waiting for December to arrive anyways. So let’s just jump right to it and talk about some favourites from the month of November.

Black Crocs sandals w. Christmas Jibbitz: I never thought that I would get myself a pair of Crocs, and I still don’t think that I would get a pair of original Crocs, but I really like this sandal version. This black pair which is now decorated with Christmas themed Jibbitz I wear as indoors slippers, and I think they’re adorable, super festive, and really comfortable.

Wet n Wild Prime & Set Prime Focus The Impossible Primer: I haven’t hauled most of the things in this haul including this primer from Wet n Wild. However, I really like this primer, so I had to feature it. It has the texture of a silicone based primer, but it’s silicone free. It feels cooling and soft on the skin and creates a great base for your foundation.

Catrice True Skin Hydrating foundation (shade: 004 Neutral Porcelain): Speaking of foundation, this Catrice foundation has been one of my go-to foundations lately. I first purchased it in another shade, but it was a little too light actually (I can make it work though), but this shade is perfect. I love the finish and coverage too. It’s just such a good and affordable foundation.

Wishful Honey Whip Peptide moisturizer: I also have a skincare favourite this month. I’ve heard great things about this moisturiser from Wishful, and I don’t know if it’s only due to this product, but my skin has looked a lot better lately; better than it has in a very long time. This is a mini, but I might get the full size at some point.

Dead Poets Society (film): I know, how can I not have watched this film until now? Trust me, I’ve been wanting to watch this classic for years. Now I finally have, and I loved it. Being a teacher myself, this film really got to me. It’s such an inspiring story and a beautiful film.

Divine Rose II

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I recently purchased my first Pat McGrath eyeshadow palette, and this was my first time using it. Pat McGrath eyeshadows might be really expensive, but I was very impressed by the quality, and I think this eye look turned out so pretty.

(Base: primer – Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (shade: 1 Fair), foundation – Catrice True Skin Hydrating foundation (shade: 004 Neutral Porcelain), concealer – Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer (shades: 1 + 4), powders – Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Catrice All Matt Shine Control powder Healthy Look in 100 Neutral Fresh Beige. Face make-up: bronzer – Hourglass Ambient Lighting bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light, blusher – BH Cosmetics Miss Claus Bad & Bougie blush quad (shade: Sugarplum), highlighter – Essence Berry On highligher in 01 Berry On My Mind!. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Pat McGrath Mothership VIII Artistry palette Divine Rose II eye palette (shades: Naked Blush + Xtreme Burgundy + Divine Dusk + VR Sextraterrestrial + Skinshow Rose Opal), mascara – MAC Magic Extension mascara, eyeliner – MAC Dual Powerprint eye pencil (shade: Short Fuse). Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: Essence lipliner in 05 Soft Berry + MAC Camden Caper lipstick)

First impressions: Rimmel The Multi-Tasker concealer

It’s been a couple of months since I last did a first impressions post, so I thought it was time to do another one. This time I’ve tested the new Rimmel The Multi-Tasker concealer. I was very intrigued by this concealer, because the packaging is so similar to my favourite concealer, the L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer.

As always, I’m wearing primer and foundation underneath the concealer, and I used the Rimmel concealer underneath my eyes and to cover up spots. The concealer has a big doefoot applicator just as the L’Oréal Infaillible concealer, but I really like that. It has a lightweight and thin formula, and it has good coverage but not as full coverage as the L’Oréal concealer, but almost. I picked up the shade 020 Fair, which is very good shade for me. The concealer blended very easily, which is nice. I did set my undereyes with powder, because I always do that, and the concealer looks smooth in the undereye area. I wore my make-up just over 12 hours, and my undereye area looked pretty much the same at the end of the day as when I first applied it. My only complaint, if you can even call it that, is that the concealer around my nose had creased a bit, but it’s not too bad after 12 hours of wear. All in all, I really enjoyed this concealer, however, I don’t think it’ll ever beat my L’Oréal Infaillible concealer, but I still really like it and I’ll definitely continue to use it.

Perfectly matching greens

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The green shades in the Essence eyeshadow palette By Merve matched my green shirt perfectly. And I think the green eye make-up looks very pretty with the glossy red lip.

(Base: primer – NYX The Marshmellow primer, foundation – L’Oréal Paris True Match Nude plumping tinted serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powder – Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral. Face make-up: bronzer – Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Bronzer in Sun Kissed, blusher – Stila Convertible Color dual lip and cheek cream in Lillium, highlighter – Essence mini highlighter stick. Eye make-up: base – Essence Super Coverage eyeshadow base by Merve in 01 Create Your Canvas, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow palette By Merve in 01 Orient Meets Occident (shades: 1 + 4 + 5 + 11+ 12), mascara – Nars Climax mascara, eyeliner – MAC Powerpoint eye pencil in Mistletoe Mint. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + Essence Lamination Style Brow Fixing Gel By Merve in 01 Can Be Tamed!. Lips: Gosh Velvet Touch lipliner in 004 Simply Red + Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick in The Perfect Red + BH Cosmetics lipgloss in Low Key Love You)

Matching metallics

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to create a look that would match the main colours in my jeans and jumper. I ended up with this metallic look, and I quite like it.

(Base: primer – I Heart Revolution x Elf collection primer, foundation – e.l.f. Cosmetics Camo CC Cream (shade: Fair 120N), concealer – Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer (shades: 1 + 4), powder – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose setting powder. Face make-up: bronzer – KimChi Chic Thailor bronzer in 01 I Went to Malibu, blusher – Juvia’s Place Blushed duo blush Volume 2 (bottom shade) + Nars Orgasm blush, highlighter – Revolution Glow Splendour Ultra Glow highlighter in So Glazed. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + KVD Beauty Edge Of Reality palette (shades: Immersion + Escapist + Critical + Green Screen + Dimensions), mascara – MAC Magic Extension mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: L’Oréal Lip Paint Metallic lipstick in 305 Cute But Psycho)

Beauty Bay haul – lots of palettes

I have a Beauty Bay haul to share with you today, and it’s all palettes (mostly from BH Cosmetics) + one highlighter.

I love BH Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes, and the travel palettes are some of my favourites from the brand. These two palettes were new when I purchased them in June (!), and they are both beautiful. The top one is the Party in Puerto Rico palette, which is a lovely warm toned palette, and the bottom one is the Passion in Paris palette, which is a stunning blue/purple/burgundy palette, and it’s my favourite one of the two.

I have more travel palettes to share with you. I think these might have been re-packaged since I bought them. Maybe that’s why I was able to get these on sale. The top one is the Summer in St Tropez palette, which is a very fun, colourful and summery palette, and the bottom one is the Beautiful in Barcelona palette, which is a neutral palette with pops of blue.

Okay, this is the last travel palette in this haul. This is the Chillin’ in Chicago palette, which is now re-packaged and called Amore in Amalfi. I got this palette on sale too, so I’m not mad about having the old version.

I purchased one more BH Cosmetics palette. This is the Lookin’ Like A Snack palette from the Say It collection (I’ve also got the Do Not Disturb palette from that collection), and it has such a pretty colour story.

The last palette in this haul is the Wet n Wild Ice Cream Bee palette, which I also got on sale. I just thought this palette looked cute, and I have created a pretty look with it.

The very last product in this haul is the BY BEAUTY BAY Pride powder highlighter in Parade. The powder goes from blue to pink to gold, and it’s just such a fun highlighter that still looks pretty on the skin.
