Sephora goodies

When I went to Copenhagen in the beginning of July, I stopped by Sephora and got a few things. I got four products from the Sephora brand. I got a Long Lasting Kohl Pencil in a nude shade which I’ve been wanting for so long, and this one is the perfect nude for my skin tone. It’s called 07 Infinite Beige. The little round eye shadow palette was on sale, and I liked the colours. The pigmentation is not amazing though; especially not the purples, but I’ll try to make them work. I also got the Sephora Straight liner brush (it’s number 91), because I thought it looked interesting. I haven’t tried it yet though. The last Sephora brand product I bought was one I knew I wanted before I went to Copenhagen. I’d heard really good things about the Creme Lip Stains and I chose the colour 03 Strawberry Kissed. This is an amazing liquid lipstick that dries completely matte, but stays comfortable on the lips. I love it! But the product I’m most excited about is the NARS Audacious lipstick. This lipstick is quality, people! It’s a creamy formula, but it stays on the lips all day. I got the hot pink shade (no wonder) and it’s called Michiyo. Oh, and the sleek black packaging and the lid with the magnetic closure; incredible! I would love to add more NARS Audacious lipsticks to my lipstick collection.

Growing MAC obsession

As you might know I didn’t shop much at all in April, May, and June, but in this month I got back on the shopping track, and I’ve bought quite a lot, so I should probably start saving again soon. I’ll show you what I’ve bought in several posts. First up are these three products from MAC. My MAC obsession grows bigger by the hour, and I’ve been wanting to add these products to my collection in ages. I’ve been craving the lipstick in Up the Amp for about 9 months and I can’t believe I didn’t buy it sooner. It’s the most gorgeous, wearable, purple shade, and I’m obsessed with it. Next I bought the Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Bare Study with the intention of using it for an easy and quick summer eye make-up, and I’ve worn it most days since I bought it. Lastly, I’ve bought the Pro Longwear concealer because I’m almost running out of my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (which is amazing), and I’d heard that it should be really good. I’ve got the shade NC20, and so far I really like it.

Cherry cheese cake

My youngest sister gave me this NYX Butter Gloss when she came home from a school trip to Berlin. It’s my first NYX product, and I’ve been wanting to try a Butter Gloss for a long time. It’s in the colour Cherry Cheese Cake, and it’s a very pretty peachy orange shade. I’m wearing it for the first time today, and so far I’m really happy with this product. It has a nice pigmentation, and I think it’s very comfortable on the lips. For a gloss it lasts a very decent amount of time as well. The only thing I don’t like about this gloss is the scent which is too sweet for my taste, but luckily it goes away almost instantly after you’ve applied it to your lips.

Rouge Edition Velvets

I mentioned in this post that my sister had bought some awesome lip products for me as well. It’s these two Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipsticks that I’ve been wanting to try for a long time, and I’m so stoked I finally got them, because they are amazing. I’m obsessed with them! They have a matte finish and they look and feel like velvet. The colours I’ve got are Hot Pepper (03) and Pink Pong (06) and both colours are absolutely gorgeous, so I’m having a really hard time picking my favourite.

MAC Toledo

I had been waiting for the MAC Toledo collection to come to Denmark, and when it finally did I was lucky enough to get my hands on the three products I wanted. Before I go further into details about the products (which are all limited edition), I just want to quickly adress the packaging of this collection. It might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but I personally love it. I think it’s so cool and different and pretty, and I love the rubbery texture of it.

I was actually a bit in doubt whether I should get one of the ombre blushers from the collection, but when I saw and swatch this one in store, I just had to have. I got the colour Azalea Blossom which goes from a light baby pink into a gorgeous purple. It’s very different from any other blusher I own, and I think it’s absolutely beautiful.

On the other hand I was not at all in doubt whether I should buy these lip products or not. For once I actually fell in love with the lipgloss (or lipglass I might say) at first and then decided to get the matching lipstick. They are both in the colour Oxblood which is a very strange name for nude lip products. Anyways, the lipglass has a bit of a pinky/mauve undertone, whereas the lipstick is a (matte) brown nude with a slightly peachy undertone. Nonetheless, they look incredible together, and I’m really happy I bought both of them.

Lightscapade

In this post I mentioned that I had bought another highlighter as well, and here it is. I’ve been craving the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade for ages, and about a month ago I finally bought it, and I’m so glad I did. It’s the most gorgeous pearly, champagne shade; perfect for fair skin. You can apply it very lightly for a subtle highlight, but you can also build it up for a more intense look. I know this is not the most affordable highlighter, but I definitely think it’s worth the money. If you’re looking for a good drugstore highlighter, I’ll recommend the e.l.f. Baked Blush in Pink Tastic.

Pink Tastic

There’s nothing like pretty, highlighted cheekbones to complete a make-up look. My favourite highlighter for the past year or so has been the Stila All Over Shimmer Duo Highlighter in Kitten, but I thought it was time to mix it up a bit in the highlight department, so I bought two new highlighters last month. One of them is this e.l.f. Baked Blush in the colour Pink Tastic. The name says it’s a blusher, but it’s definitely a highlighter. I’d heard so many good things about this highlighter, and it really is a great product and so affordable. It has a slight peachy pink tint to it, and you can really build it up if you want an intense highlight, but you can also dust it lightly over the skin for a more subtle sheen. I really like this highlighter, but I like the other one I bought even more, but more about that in another post.

‘Big’ shopping trip

Sorte stretchy skinny jeans - H&MGrå sweatshirt m. multifarvede dinosaurer - H&MMintgrøn sweatshirt m. sorte dinosaurer - H&MSort kimono m. blomster - H&M When I was in high school I usually bought a lot of clothes at one shopping trip, but the past few years my clothes shopping pattern has been more like buying one or two items here and there, but a few weeks back I actually bought four items at once. I unintentionally destoyed my black jeans a while back, so I needed to buy a new pair, and I found a pair of affordable skinny and stretchy ones at H&M, and so far I like them. Several years ago I found a picture online of a sweatshirt with dinosaurs on it, and ever since I’ve been wanting a sweatshirt with a dinosaur print, and as you can see I was lucky enough to find two on my ‘big’ shopping trip. I think both of them are super cute; I’ve worn the mint green one, and I loved it, and I’m looking forward to wear the grey one as well. The last item I bought was the pretty, black kimono in the last picture. It was really affordable, and I think it’ll be great for spring and summer.

Soo glow + fit me

DSC_5823

My mum, sisters, and aunt went on a day-trip to Flensburg about three weeks ago, and my sister bought these two products for me. I love highlighters, so I really wanted to try out the Essence soo glow! cream to powder highlighter. I got the shade 10 which is a champagne colour. It is a cream to powder product, and it looks very pretty when you swatch it, but when you blend it out, it basically just blends out to a lot of shimmer (and probably a bit too much shimmer for my liking). I haven’t played around with it much yet, so I’ll definitely try to find a way to make it work. I also got the Maybelline Fit Me! concealer which I’ve been wanting to try for a long time, but sadly even though I got the lightest shade (10), it’s still a bit too dark for my skintone right now, so I have to wait to use it until I (hopefully) get a bit tanned.

Provocalips + Kate

DSC_5708

I have been waiting for the Rimmel Provocalips to come to Denmark, and when they finally did (and the drugstore had a 3 for 2 sale on Rimmel make-up) I went out and bought two different colours to try them out. I chose the colours 200 I’ll Call You and 550 Play With Fire. I’ll Call You just seemed like the perfect mid tone neutral pink, and it’s very pretty and very wearable. There were two different red shades, but Play With Fire which is the darker one really caught my eye. So far I’m quite impressed with these liquid lipsticks. They’re really pigmented and has a matte finish when they dry. You can leave them like that or you can apply the lock and shine balm which I’ve done the times I’ve worn them, and your lips look and feel great. Because there was a 3 for 2 sale when I bought them, I also picked up yet another Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick. I picked up no. 29 which is a purply, magenta type colour. So pretty!  You’ll see all of these lip products on my lips in make-up posts in the future.
