MAC winter sales + Lunar Luck haul

I got a MAC winter sales + Lunar Luck collection haul to share with you today. Let’s begin with the sale items.

I purchased two more of the Aute Couture Starring Rosalia nail laquers, because I really enjoy the first two that I got. These two are in the shades Canela En Rama and Cayena. The bottles are so pretty too.

I also picked up the other shade of the Extra Dimension Skinfinish from the Botanic Panic collection which is called Royal Flush. This is a blush on me though, but it’s super pretty nonetheless. And I don’t think I’d ever heard of the Iridescent powder from MAC, but I picked up the shade Silver Dusk, and I thought I would give it a try.

I got another MAC x L Powder Kiss liquid lipcolour as well. This is in the shade Haute Pants, and it’s a very pretty blue based red. I really like the Powder Kiss formulas.

I loved the Cruella collection, and I thought about getting the 217S blending brush when the collection first launced, but MAC brushes are so expensive, so I’m glad I waited for a sale. And those were the items I purchased in the winter sales.

From the Lunar Luck collection, which was the 2022 Lunar New Year collection from MAC, I picked up the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Lunar Lights, which is a pretty gold, and the Powder Kiss lipstick in If Wishes Were Roses, which is a very nice pink. The packaging is beautiful as well.

5 favourites – May

The last spring month has come to an end, which means we’re going in to summer, and I’m very excited about that. I just wish that the weather would be summery too, but it looks as if my wish might come true towards the end of this week. Another reason why I’m super excited about summer is that it means that the summer holiday is not far away. I’ve been working a lot lately (this time of year is always stressful, when you’re a teacher), and I really need a long break. But, I still have about four weeks of work left, and we also have some May favourites to talk about first, so let’s do that.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Blemish Fighting Putty primer: The original e.l.f Cosmetics Poreless Putty primer is one of my favourite primers, and when I first saw that e.l.f Cosmetics had come out with a Blemish Fighting version, I was very intrigued. My skin has been quite nice lately, and I don’t necessarily think that this primer has much to do with that, but I really like it, and I’ve been reaching for it quite a bit.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder (shade: 1 Fair): It wasn’t instant love with this high end powder, but love it became. I don’t know why I wasn’t blown away the first couple of times, I used this powder, but the more I use it, the more I love it. I think my skin looks stunning all day, when I wear this powder, so maybe it’s worth the expensive price tag after all.

By BEAUTY BAY Midnight 42 Colour Palette: I haven’t hauled this palette yet, but I think it’s been my most used palette in May, so I had to feature it. You probably know by now that I love both purple and blue eyeshadow, so this palette was pretty much made for me. And I really enjoy the By BEAUTY BAY eyeshadow formulas, so I’ve had a lot of fun playing with this palette.

MAC M·A·CStack mascara: This mascara has gone viral for a good reason. This is only a sample, but I really like this mascara, so I might purchase a full size at some point.

Lego Creator Expert Orchid: I really needed a fun, little project to de-stress, and I love orchids, so I had to have this Lego version. It’s always fun building Lego sets, and now I’ll always have an orchid in bloom.

Feelunique haul (17% off – except Natasha Denona)

Back in early December Feelunique had a 17% off sale, so I decided to get a few Morphe products I’d been wanting for a while. I also decided to get something from Natasha Denona, even though Natasha Denona wasn’t a part of the sale.

The Natasha Denona Glam face palettes was released around this time, and I really liked the concept, so I picked up the Light version. It comes with a cream blush, and star glow highlighter (new formula), and five neutral eyeshadows. As I’ve mentioned before, ND makes great neutral eyeshadows, and the blush and highlighter are super pretty, so this is a great face palette.

Coca Cola is my favourite soft drink, and I’d been wanting to get this Coca-Cola X Morphe Awe Together artistry palette for quite a while. However, the colour story is not my favourite, and some of the shades are a bit underwhelming. But it’s cute nonetheless.

The main reason to make this order was to get some products from the Morphe Mickey & Friends Truth Be Bold collection. I’ve probably mentioned it a million times before, but I love everything Disney, and this Morphe Mickey & Friends Truth Be Bold artistry palette is just so fun. I really like the colourful colour story, and I’ve liked the looks I’ve created with it so far.

I also picked up the Mickey & Friends Truth Be Bold mega matte lipstick trio. It comes with the shades Bow Babe (nude), Oh Boy (red), and Goody Goody (pink). They’re very matte and very pigmented, and I love the Mickey & Friends faces on the actual lipstick part. So cute!

The last item I got was the Morphe Mickey & Friends Truth Be Bold 6-piece brush set. It comes in a cute tin, and the brushes themselves are super cute. I usually really like Morphe brushes, and these are no exception.

Black Friday Beauty Bay haul

I know, I know, Black Friday was half a year ago, but I’m just getting around to sharing my Black Friday Beauty Bay haul with you. These are the products I bought.

Let’s start with BH Cosmetics. I love both the BH Cosmetics eyeshadow formulas and cheek product formulas, so I purchased a couple of palettes missing from my collection.

This is the Hangin’ in Hawaii palette; a very pretty neutral and pink palette.

This is the Mimosa palette; a fun and bright mainly pink palette.

And the Belgian Waffle bronzer & highlighter palette. What I find a bit weird about this palette is that the bronzers are fairly light, but the highlighters are quite dark. It’s nice quality though.

From Made By Mitchell I purchased the Milk Blursh Collection including a white liquid blush in Milk Mix, a purple one in Dairy Queen, and a hot pink one in Cow Lick. I also picked up the Blursh and Brush bundle which includes two blushers in the shades Melon Sorbet and Peach Sugar and a MF1 Face Brush Cheek Stippler. I’m not quite sure I like the brush though. However, I do like the other brush that I picked up, which is the ME3 eye brush Tapered Tickler.

From the Revolution Pro X Marilyn Monroe collection I got the Eye Quad in White Pearl and the Lip Set Red in Marilyn Red. I’ve barely used the eye quad, so I don’t have many thoughts on that yet, but I like the lip set. Both products are very pigmented and a beautiful shade of classic red.

These next three products are the real hits of this haul. I love the NABLA Skin Bronzing in Ambra, and I’ve been using it a lot. I already knew that I loved the Clinique Cheek Pop blushes so I picked up the shade 12 Pink Pop. And I was very pleasently surprised by how much I enjoy the Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Highlighter in Pink Diamond. It’s very easy to work with, and it’s such a pretty shade.

I also decided to get the other two shades of the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY Lip & Cheek Duos. They’re in the shades Pinocchio Shorts and Mad Hatter Face, and they’re both very pretty.

And last we have this random little selection of items. I bought another Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour lip liner. This one is in the shade I’m Nude. I also picked up another Soda #talkofthetown lipstick. This one is in the shade 004 Total Pink. I think I’ve got most of the shades now. And the very last thing I purchased was the LastObject LastRound in Red and it comes with 7 pads for removing make-up.

Catrice and Essence Disney Princess collections

Today I have a joined Catrice and Essence Disney Princess collections haul to share with you. The two brands did this sister collab a little while back, and it’s Disney so of course I had to pick up most of the items from the collections. Let’s start with Catrice and then transition in to Essence.

Both collections came with three eyeshadow palettes. The Catrice collection consists of the following three palettes; Ariel 010 Treasure The Moment, Belle 020 Beauty Is Found Within, and Pocahontas 030 Follow Your Own Path.

Here’s a closer look at the three Catrice eyeshadow palettes in the order mentioned above. They’re all quite neutral, but I like the different finishes and textures of the shadows.

The collection only came with two highlighter palettes; the Ariel 010 Live Your Dream and the Belle 020 Never Give Up. They’re both very pretty.

The Catrice collection also included three different face serums. The Ariel 010 Down Where It’s Wetter contains hibiscus extract, the Belle 020 Broke The Spell contains rose water, and the Pocahontas 030 Natural Spirit contains sunflower extract.

I love the packaging of the lip balms. They’re glittery, tinted lip balms and there’s one for each of the three princesses featured in the collection; Ariel 010 Seashell Pearls, Belle 020 Free Spirit, and Pocahontas 030 Sheer Willow.

Both the Catrice and the Essence collections included a mascara. The one from Catrice is the Belle Glam & Doll False Lashes mascara, and the one from Essence is the I LOVE EXTREME Rapunzel crazy volume mascara. The packaging on both mascaras is so cute.

And now on to the rest of the Essence products. Their three princesses are Rapunzel, Jasmine, and Mulan. The palettes are called Rapunzel 01 Let Your Hair Down, Jasmine 02 Can’t Keep Me Down, and Mulan 03 True To Your Heart.

Here’s a closer look at the three Essence eyeshadow palettes in the order mentioned above. Initially, I was the most excited about the colour story in the Jasmine palette, but I actually liked the Mulan palette the best. The rusty, orangy colours were actually quite nice.

The last items in the Essence collection were brushes. I picked up the face powder brush in Mulan and the blender brush in Jasmine, and I really like both of these brushes. The quality is really good for the price, and they look super cute.

Collective haul (November/December 2021)

It’s time for a collective haul. This haul includes clothes, accessories, and make-up, and I purchased these items in November or December last year.

I only have a few clothing pieces to share with you. The denim dress is (funnily enough) from the brand Only, and you’ve already seen me wear this in a couple of outfit posts. The checkered jeans are from The Ragged Priest, and the tights are from Calzedonia, which has become one of my favourite brands for tights. I really like the quality and the colour selection.

Last summer, I purchased a handbag from the brand Silfen, and I really like that bag, so when I found these three bags from the same brand on sale (I got a really good deal on them), I couldn’t decide which one to get, so I got all three.

Let’s move on to make-up. It’s so difficult to get a good picture of the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder due to the shiny packaging. I got the powder in the shade 1 Fair, and this might be a very expensive powder, but it’s also a really great one.

From Wet n Wild I picked up the Fantasy Makers highlighter in Halo Effect and the Fantasy Makers blusher in Exit Stage Left. The highlighter is a very pretty pink shade, but the blush is nothing special in my opinion.

I also purchased a back-up of the Rimmel The Multi-Tasker concealer, which I love, and then I decided to try out the Pixi +Rose Glow-y powder in Rose Dew. I’m not quite sure how I feel about it though. I can’t figure out whether to use it as a blush/blush topper or a highlighter.

Last, but most certainly not least, I got the Anastasia Beverly Hills NORVINA pro pigment palette vol. 5. This is the only NORVINA pro pigment palette I own, but this purple/neutral colour story is just so pretty, and I do really enjoy using this palette.

MAC x L collection

Last autumn, I picked up four items from the MAC x L collection. I absolutely love the purple glitter packaging!

Here’s what the inside of the eyeshadow palette looks like. I would say that it’s a neutral palette with pops of pink and purple. I think it’s very pretty, and some of the shadows have some interesting finishes.

I had to pick up the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Show Gold (permanent shade), even though I have the shade in a palette from a previous holiday collection. I mean, just look at that beautiful flower embossing! The shade is really stunning too. The powder blush is in the shade Melba, which is also a permanent shade, and I do have it in a split pan blush duo, but I’m not the biggest fan of split pan products, so I wouldn’t mind having Melba as a stand alone blush.

The last product I picked up from this collection (this time around) was the Powder Kiss liquid lipcolour in the shade Sorry Not Sorry, and it’s a pretty pumpkin/burned orange shade. I really like the Powder Kiss formulas; both this liquid version and the bullet lipstick one.

Sephora Single’s Day sale haul + more sale

I have a rather large Sephora haul to share with you today. Most of the products were purchased in the Single’s Day sale where everything was 25% off, but I’m also including a few more sale items. Let’s start with palettes.

I purchased my first, and so far only, Pat McGrath eyeshadow palette in the Single’s Day sale. This is the Mothership VIII Artistry palette Divine Rose II eye palette, and it’s so pretty. However, it’s not a colour story I go for very often, so I’ve barely used it. I’m still glad to have it in my collection, and I will get use out of it eventually.

I also decided to get the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz eyeshadow palette in the sale, and this palette I’ve used a bit more. The metallics in this palette are just stunning.

I can’t believe that I was able to get the Natasha Denona Gold palette 50% off! Even though neutrals are not my go-to shades, I still think this is a stunning palette, and I really want to use again soon.

To be completely honest, I purchased the Coach x Sephora Collection Rexy palette because of the packaging, and also because it was 40% off. The colours are a bit boring, but the packaging is oh so cute.

The only base products I picked up were the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop blurring skin tint in shade 2 and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer in shade 4. I’m still not sure how I feel about the skin tint, and I like the concealer a lot, but the shade is not perfect.

I picked up four lipsticks; two from NARS and two from Pat McGrath.

The two from NARS are the Claudette Collection Audacious Sheer Matte lipstick in Anaïs and the VIP Audacious lipstick in Barbara. Both of these are super pretty nude shades.

The two from Pat McGrath are the MatteTrance lipstick in Elson and the BlitzTrance lipstick in Blood Rush. Both of these are super pretty red shades, and just look at the packaging!

Last, but not least, I received several free gifts with my purchases. The first product I received was a mini NARS Orgasm blush. I’ve never owned this blush, so it’s fun to try such a classic.

I also received a Tarte mini set including a Timeless Smoothing primer, a Maracuja oil, and a Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 mascara. The only item I’ve used so far is the primer, and I quite like it.

This is one of the most insane free gifts I’ve ever received. This was the Singles box which included 15 products. They’re mostly minis, but it also included a full size Fenty Beauty Stunna lip paint in the shade Unveil.

Beauty Bay haul (late October/early November)

I have a rather large collective Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. These are products that I purchased in late October/early November last year. Let’s begin with the products I purchased from By BEAUTY BAY.

I love the 20-pan palettes from By BEAUTY BAY and the Wilderness palette might be my favourite one so far. This colour story is so beautiful and inspiring, and I always enjoy using this palette.

I also picked up the 2021 holiday palette from By BEAUTY BAY, which was the Age Of Opulence palette. This is another stunning palette with a another great colour scheme.

I also decided to pick up the By BEAUTY BAY Jade Thirlwall x BEAUTY BAY 42 colour palette, and I’m very impressed by this palette. Really big palettes can be a bit overwhelming, but I’ve reached for this palette quite a bit.

Of course I had to get the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY Mini Palette Trio. These palettes include all matte shades which are based on colours from Alice In Wonderland (Cheshire Cat), Dumbo, and Jungle Book. I love the concept, and the colours are so pretty and unique.

Later on a second Disney Colour collection launched, so I also got the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY Palette Duo, which include another Alice in Wonderland palette (Mad Hatter) and a Bambi palette.

The last item I picked up from the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY collection (this time around) was the Lip & Cheek Duo in Mad Hatter Tongue. I really like both the blush and lipstick.

Let’s move on to a bit of BH Cosmetics. This is the Absinthe palette, and it’s such a good green palette. I’ve loved the looks, I’ve created with this.

I received the BH Cosmetics Opalescent palette as a free gift with purchase, and even though it’s mostly a neutral palette, I do think it’s very pretty.

The last item I got from BH Cosmetics is the BH Cosmetics X Doja Cat Flora Powder Blush Trio in Poppy. I really liked the unique blush shades in this particular palette. From Stila I got the Stila Treasure Island All-in-One Putty Trio. I’m not quite sure how I feel about this palette to be honest. It wasn’t my favourite at first try. And then I picked up another Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick, because I love that lipstick formula. This is in the shade Diet Mannequin.

Last, but not least, I purchased the Sigma Beauty Sigma Switch, which is a quick and easy brush cleaning tool, if you can call it that. You just swipe you dirty brush in the proper spot, and then you can use it a little while longer before properly cleaning it.

5 favourites – April

Am I the only one who thinks that 2022 is flying by so fast? I can’t believe that it’s the last day of April today, and that we’ll soon (hopefully) be heading into summer. The weather has been slightly warmer and more springlike these last couple of weeks, which is nice, but I’m so ready for warmer summery weather. But let’s talk about some favourites. Last month’s favourites post was make-up heavy and so is this month’s favourites as well (well, three out of five are beauty products), but I just love discovering great products. However, I also have a film and a TV series to share with you this month.

MAC Prep + Prime Lip: This is actually not a new discovery at all. I’ve loved this lip primer for a few years now, I think, and I thought it was about time that I would feature it in a favourites post. It’s the first step of my make-up routine, and I use it everytime I do my make-up.

L’Oréal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light): It took me a while to get into skin tints, but this is by far my favourite one. It has light coverage, but not too light, which I love, so this is great for days where my skin is looking a little better and I don’t feel like I need a whole lot of coverage. The texture, colour, and finish are great too.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder: This is one of the newest products in my collection, which means that I haven’t hauled it yet. However, I had to feature it in this favourites post, because I fell in love with this powder instantly. It has this super pretty, subtle glow to it, but it also keeps your skin looking fresh and not oily or shiny all day.

Death on the Nile (2022 film): I really like murder mystery type films, and I enjoyed watching Murder on the Orient Express (2017 film), but the “sequel” that just came out was even better in my opinion. I loved the 1930’s aesthetic and the Egyptian setting, and the murder mystery itself was really good. Great cast too. I seriously didn’t recognise Russell Brand as Linus Windlesham.

Moon Knight (TV series): And speaking of Egypt, my last favourite this month also partly takes place in Egypt. I love the Marvel series that release on Disney+. I especially enjoyed WandaVision, which I featured in a favourites post last year, and I think I enjoy Moon Knight just as much. It’s so different and interesting, and I’m really excited about the last episode which comes out next week.
