Dark, smokey, fun

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. For a dark, smokey make-up look this is still pretty fun.

Darker, but still fun

Here’s what I wore Thursday June 5. I usually don’t wear looks in darker colour schemes very often, but I actually think this look is fun. Oh, and excuse my daughter’s play vanity sneaking into the picture:)

Matas haul (February 2025)

I have a beauty haul to share with you today. It includes a bit of everything, so let’s get into it.

I purchased three foundations; the Maybelline Superstay Lumi Matte foundation in shade 96, the Rimmel Kind & Free Glow It Up moisturising skin tint in Fair Porcelain 01, and a mini TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion in 13N Fair Ivory. My most used one so far and therefore my favourite at the moment is the Maybelline Superstay Lumi Matte foundation, but I’ve liked the look of the Rimmel Kind & Free Glow It Up moisturising skin tint the times I’ve worn it. I already owned the TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion, but in a shade that’s a little too dark on me, so the 13N Fair Ivory shade is a better match.

I’d been wanting to try the Maybelline Sunkisser hazy matte blush and the Sunkisser highlighter, so I decided to get a shade of each. The blush is in the shade 30 Pink Mirage, and the highlighter is in the shade 22 Star Studded. Both are pretty.

Laka is a K-beauty brand that I hadn’t heard of before, but I was intrigued by some of their products. I picked up Love Silk blush in #708 Poem, which is a very unique cool-toned shade. I also got Dreambeam highlighter in #03 Water Beam, which is such a pretty light blue-ish/periwinkle shade. The last product from Laka that I decided to try out was one of their Bonding Glow lipsticks in #206 Lili, which is a lovely warm pink shade. I might want to try some more products from this brand in the future.

Lastly, I bought another shade of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascaras, which is one of my favourite mascaras. I got the shade Green Altitude. And the last three products are from Essence. I got the Meta Glow duo-chrome eye pencil in 04 Chromalicious, the Baby Got Bronze shimmering bronzer in 10 Golden Hour, and the Glossy Glaze high shine lipstick in 04 Red Dy For The Day. All fun products.

Lilo & Stitch

Here’s what I wore Wednesday June 4. I went to the cinema with my sisters to watch Lilo & Stitch (live action), so I had to wear my Stitch T-shirt, and I paired it with a colourful skirt with a tropical leaning print to go with the theme.

(Jacket – H&M, T-shirt – PULL&BEAR, skirt – Nümph, tights – Calzedonia, shoes – Crocs)

Green goddess expectations

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used the Bellabeautébar Green Goddess palette to create the eye look, and the look turned out pretty, but I think I expected more from the palette. I guess I just have to create more looks with it to see its full potential.

Rhinestone jeans

Here’s what I wore Wednesday May 28. I don’t wear blue denim jeans often these days, but I’ve had a love of fun styling these rhinestone ones. I guess, they’re just a bit more fun to style and wear than regular, non-rhinestone jeans:)

(Blazer – Monki, shirt – second hand, jeans – YAS, sneakers – Nike)

5 favourites – July

July, I’m going to miss you so much. Despite being ill for a week, I’ve had a great summer holiday. The weather has been with us in July for the first time in many years, which makes the summer holiday even more enjoyable. I’m going back to work again on Monday, but I wish I had another week off:) However, let’s get into this month’s favourites.

Red and pink platform Teva sandals: I purchased these sandals in a Cyber Monday sale last year, hoping that I would get a lot of use out of them this summer, and I have. Tevas are so comfortable, and I can walk around in them for hours, so they’ve been perfect for going on different trips this summer.

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Lift & Flex concealer (shade: 2): I’d had this concealer on my wishlist for so long, but it was sold out in the lightest shades for ages. When I finally found it somewhere back in stock, I picked it up immediately. Initially, I wasn’t blown away by it, but it has grown on me lately, and it actually is a beautiful concealer.

Wet n Wild Megalast eyeshadow primer: I learned about this affordable eyeshadow primer through a comment on a beauty Youtube video. Someone wrote that it was a great primer if shimmers tend to crease on your eyelids, which they do on mine, because I have hooded eyelids. Some shimmers still crease on me, but I do think that this primer works quite well with some types of shimmers, and I’ve experienced less creasing when using this primer.

Jurassic World Rebirth (film): I’m always excited about a new Jurassic World film, and I didn’t know anything about Rebirth before watching it, but I really enjoyed it. As I’ve mentioned before, I love dinosaurs, so I could definitely live without the genetically engineered dinosaurs in the Jurassic World series, because they’re just monsters and not real dinosaur species, but I really liked the premise and plot of this film.

Weyward (Kvinderne fra Weyward Cottage) by Emilia Hart (book): I don’t remember the last time I read a book that wasn’t a children’s book (I read a lot of those though) or a non-fiction book I had to read for education purposes, but for some reason, I had an urge to read a novel this summer. I found Weyward by Emilia Hart at one of my local supermarkets (I read it in Danish though, hence the Danish title in parentheses). I thought it sounded interesting, and it was. I read it in a few days in the very beginning of my summer holiday, and I really enjoyed it. I’m reading another book now, and I already have a few more in mind that I would like to read, so I hope that I’ll have time to do so, when life becomes busy again soon.
