Ruffle sleeves

Here’s what I wore Monday September 4. I think the knitted top is super cute; I love the ruffle sleeves and all the different coloured stripes.

By the way, I just got back from a choir trip to Helsinki (Finland) yesterday, which is why I haven’t blogged the past week or so.

Film style icon: Elle Woods

Last week I rewatched Legally Blonde (2001) for the 100th time and if you love pink like I do, you don’t have to look any further for inspiration. Elle Woods played by Reese Witherspoon is the number one inspiration when it comes to dressing in pink. I’d decided to do this post a long time ago, but it was very nice to rewatched all of Elle’s amazing outfits. I rewatched Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde last week as well, but I’ve decided to only feature looks from the first film.

Elle’s signature colour is obviously pink; hot pink to be exact. This matching hot pink leather outfit is probably difficult to pull off for most people, but we can still take inspiration from it. I sure wouldn’t mind owning a pink leather jacket.

This look is quite different from Elle’s other looks. The shirt and tie with the cardigan that looks a bit like a dressing gown is a very unique look, and I love it!

This outfit, on the other hand, is so Elle. I want that pink faux fur so bad!

Let’s not forget about the iconic bend and snap. This outfit is so cute, and I’m obsessed with the cropped kick flare jeans.

And of course Elle nails her first lawsuit wearing a beautiful hot pink dress with matching heels. She really brightens up that dull courtroom.

Purples and glitter

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As I mentioned in the outfit post, half the fun of going to a party is getting ready for it, and that includes doing my make-up. I love when I have a lot of time to do my make-up, and for this party look I went all out with purples and glitter to match the purple glitter heels I wore.

Purple glitter disco heels

Here’s what I wore Saturday (night) September 2. I went to a party for all the dorms in the area of my dorm. The party itself was quite boring to be honest, but dressing up for a party is half the fun, am I right? As I mentioned here, I rarely wear all black outfits except at parties/on nights out. I did decide to break up the black with these amazing purple glitter ’70s disco inspired heels, which were super comfortable by the way, and matching purple make-up.

Match the stripe

DSC_3418DSC_3422

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used to love orange lipstick and wore it a lot. I still love orange lipstick, but I don’t wear it that often anymore. I think it’s because some oranges can be difficult to pull off. This shade is easy to pull off because of the coral undertones, I just don’t like the formula that much. I wore it anyways, because the shade matched the stripe on my T-shirt perfectly.

Too cold

Here’s what I wore Monday August 28. Looking at these pictures, I really miss wearing my black culottes, but sadly the weather has gotten too cold for cropped trousers like these.

Backup + 40 % off lipsticks

DSC_3621DSC_3627

After a little over three years, I’ve almost used up my MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, and since it is my absolute favourite eye shadow base/primer, I needed a backup. When I went onto MAC’s webshop to buy one, I saw that there was 40 % off on ‘goodbyes’ (products that is about to be discontinued I guess), so I picked up two more lipsticks from the Colour Rocker collection (I also have these three shades). I’ve been regretting not getting the shade Evening Buzz (the purple shade) when the collection first came out, so this was the perfect opportunity to finally add it to my collection. I also purchased the shade Digging it, because I didn’t have a dark brown lipstick, and it looked like such a nice shade of brown.

Lilac lip

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s been a long time since I’ve worn a lilac lip and I love the way it looks with the green on the lower lash line.

Last of summer

DSC_3396rediDSC_3395redi

Here’s what I wore Friday August 25. I think this might be the last of my more summery outfits. These mint green velvet trousers are not the easiest thing to style, but I knew that they would look great paired with white.

Autumn vibes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Even though I wore this make-up look in late August, it definitely has autumn vibes.
