Berries on the eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I knew that I wanted to incorporate bordeaux shades into my look, but instead of going with the obvious (the lips), I decided to do a bordeaux eye make-up, and I love how it turned out.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Stila In the Light eye shadow palette (shade: Bliss) + MAC Cranberry eye shadow + Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Cherry Cordial + Marzipan + White Chocolate), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in 162 Feel Pink)

Bordeaux birthday

Here’s what I wore at my cousin’s birthday party on February 14. For some reason I don’t wear that sheer bordeaux shirt very often, but I don’t know why, because it’s actually quite nice.

(Blazer + skirt + necklace – H&M, shirt – Sisters Point, ballerina flats – Vagabond)

Bordeaux blazer

Bordeauxrød blazer - H&M

My mum bought me this blazer from H&M a couple of weeks back, and I just thought I would show it in a quick post. It’s really difficult to see in the picture, but the fabric actually has a pattern. Anyways, I love the colour, and I already have a few ideas of how to style it.

Simple kimono

Here’s what I wore Thursday February 5. I like this outfit. I especially like the fact that the kimono adds a little something extra to an otherwise simple outfit. I also think the sleek, high ponytail went well with the look.

True match

I find it difficult to find a foundation that’s light enough to match my fair skin. I’d heard/read good things about the L’Oréal True Match foundation and I was happy to find a shade that matches my skin (in the autumn/winter time). I got the shade R1/C1 Rose Ivory. I have to say that I really like this foundation; it has a medium coverage (which I prefer) and it blends out really nicely. I would definitely repurchase this foundation, and I would actually really like to try the True Match concealer as well.

Intense hazelnut

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As I wrote in the outfit post I really wanted to play around with my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. This is the look I came up with, and I love it. It’s a pretty intense look, so I decided to pair it with a nude lip.

(Eye make-up: base – Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and on Bronze (35), eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + Hazelnut + Triple Fudge + White Chocolate + Créme Brulee), mascara – Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Glitter eyeliner in Malt Chocolate. Lips: Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick in 03 + Ink by Dennis Knudsen Brightening lipgloss in 06 Light Brown)

Provocalips + Kate

I have been waiting for the Rimmel Provocalips to come to Denmark, and when they finally did (and the drugstore had a 3 for 2 sale on Rimmel make-up) I went out and bought two different colours to try them out. I chose the colours 200 I’ll Call You and 550 Play With Fire. I’ll Call You just seemed like the perfect mid tone neutral pink, and it’s very pretty and very wearable. There were two different red shades, but Play With Fire which is the darker one really caught my eye. So far I’m quite impressed with these liquid lipsticks. They’re really pigmented and has a matte finish when they dry. You can leave them like that or you can apply the lock and shine balm which I’ve done the times I’ve worn them, and your lips look and feel great. Because there was a 3 for 2 sale when I bought them, I also picked up yet another Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick. I picked up no. 29 which is a purply, magenta type colour. So pretty!  You’ll see all of these lip products on my lips in make-up posts in the future.

Candied violet

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to create a look based on the Candied Violet shade in my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, but as I wrote in this post I was a bit disappointed in the glittery shades. Candied Violet looks way more purple and glittery in the pan, but on the eye the shade shows up as in the picture which still looks pretty, but I just expected the colour to be more vibrant and glittery.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Strawberry Bon Bon + Candied Violet + White Chocolate + Champagne Truffle), mascara – Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: Rimmel Colour Rush Colour Balm in 110 Make Me Blush)
