Pretty cranberry

DSC_8838

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve for sure worn a make-up look similar to this before, and I think it’s so pretty. That MAC Cranberry eye shadow is one of the prettiest eye shadow colours I’ve ever seen, and I really should wear it more often.

Red booties

Here’s what I wore Wednesday March 9. I hadn’t worn my red booties in a really long time, so I paired them up with some cuffed boyfriend jeans and a glittery sweater, and I think it turned out to be a very nice everyday outfit.

Deep matte reds

I little while ago I was happy to find that the Danish drugstores had started carrying matte ColorSensational lipsticks from Maybelline. I decided to purchase these two gorgeous red shades; 970 Daring Ruby and 975 Divine Wine. I’ve only worn the Daring Ruby shade so far, and I loved it. The formula of these lipsticks is great; the pigmentation is amazing, it’s not drying on the lips, and it’s long lasting. I would love to see this lipstick range expand with some more colours.

Minimal eye make-up

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Every now and again I like to wear minimal eye make-up and a bright lip.

‘Shorter’ hair

DSC_8812DSC_8813DSC_8814

Here’s what I wore Monday March 7. These pictures were taken two days after I got my hair cut, and it’s the shortest my hair has been since I was in my early teens. I know it’s not short at all, but I’m used to having really long hair, so I’m just now starting to get used to it (it has obviously grown a little bit since I got it cut). I guess I have to get my hair cut more often, so it won’t be too big of a change.

Accent nails

I’ve been a bit boring when painting my nails lately, so I thought I would give myself and you some inspiration. My favourite way to make my nails a bit more interesting is by painting one (or maybe two) of my nails on each hand in a different colour than the rest. It’s extremely easy, it doesn’t take longer than painting all of your nails in the same colour, and it looks good. I guess I just have to come up with some new colour combos and get back in the nail game.

Too orange?

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m not really sure if this orange lipstick suits me. I think I might be a bit too pale to pull it off, but I love the colour, so I’ll continue to wear it anyways.

(Base: primer – Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer 002, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me foundation (shade: 105 Natural Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Vanilla + Banana) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush palette, blusher – Makeup Geek blusher in Bliss, highlighter – MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shades: Bare + Fade + Penny) + Sleek Storm eye shadow palette (shades: Gathering Storm + Storm Cloud) + NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Black with pops of colour

Here’s what I wore Friday March 4. I love that the sweatshirt has different pops of colour which makes the look a little less black and gives me plenty of opportunities to play around with my make-up.

Yellow gold

Here’s the make-up I wore Thursday March 3. It was my first time playing around with my the Balm Nude’tude eye shadow palette. I was attracted to the very yellow gold colour (Snobby), and I really like how it looks paired with some of the brown shades in the palette.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shade: Bare) + the Balm Nude’tude eye shadow palette (shades: Sultry + Seductive + Snobby) + the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet lip pencil in 210 Keep It Classy)

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani

DSC_8773DSC_8778DSC_8781

In the beginning of March a Danish department store had a 20 % off sale, so I decided to purchase my first Urban Decay products. Everything from the Gwen Stefani line looked gorgeous, but I went with one of the red lipsticks and the matching lip pencil. The shade of both products is 714, and it’s the only matte lipstick in the collection. I actually think the finish was called Mega Matte which I find quite fitting. The finish reminds me a bit of the Retro Matte finish from MAC. The lip pencil is a bit darker than the lipstick, but they look beautiful together nonetheless.
