Bright colours on eyes and lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s not often I wear bright colours on both my eyes and lips, but I think it’s a lot of fun and I actually really like it.

Here’s what I wore Sunday October 30. I hadn’t worn the dinosaur sweatshirt in a while, and I love all the colours. It always gets me inspired to wear colourful make-up.

Drugstore goodies from the Netherlands

dsc_1046

Finally I’m getting around to showing you the drugstore products I bought in the Netherlands. I didn’t go super crazy (I don’t think) and I mainly bought products from brands you can’t get in Denmark.

dsc_1048

First off I bought some lip liners. I got really into lip liners this year, and when I saw the Essence display I decided to grap the shades that I didn’t have already (I bought four Essence lip liners in Munich last year); Wish Me A Rose, Soft Berry, and Femme Fatale. I recently used up the transparent lip liner I had from Rimmel, so I decided to try out the Essence Invisible Kiss Transparent lipliner. A transparent lip liner is great to have if you wear a lot of bold lip colours and you don’t have a matching lip liner. The last lip liner I bought was the Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour lip liner in Eastend Snob. I’d heard and read a lot of good things about these lip liners (and this particular shade), and it is really good; super soft and pigmented.

I saw a lot of highlighters at the drugstores, and I decided to get two: the MUA Undress Your Skin shimmer highlighter in Pink Shimmer and the Catrice High Glow Mineral highlighting powder in 010 Light Infusion. I’m very impressed by both these highlighters. They’re both very pigmented, and the MUA one is actually pink on the skin and it almost has a duochrome look to it. I also bought the Essence Satin Touch blush in 20 Satin Love which is a very pretty nude blusher.

Lastly I bought this MUA eye shadow palette in Poptastic. I don’t have a lot of bright eye shadows, and I really like the MUA eye shadows so I thought I would give this palette a go. I’ve only worn the green shade in the bottom left corner so far, but it was really pigmented and stayed on my eyelids for a really long time, so so far so good. I’m looking forward to be playing around some more with this palette.

December face

dsc_1460dsc_1459

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I have a feeling that I’m going to wear a lot of make-up looks similar to this one during December, probably just with different shades of red on the lips and different neutral shades on the eyes.

(Base: primers – Benefit the POREfessional face primer + L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shades: Soft Light + Cream) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shade: Sculpt) + Benefit Hoola bronzer, blusher – MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact Extra Dimension blush in At Dusk, highlighter – MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Tutu. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette (shades: Foxy + Tease + Snakebite + Suspect) + MAC Nylon eye shadow, mascara – MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash mascara, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows – e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Redd lip pencil + MAC Vermillion Vee lipstick)

You used to call me on my elf phone

Here’s what I’m wearing today. I’m probably going to wear quite a few christmassy outfits throughout the month, so I thought I would post them during December, because it wouldn’t make sense posting them after New Year’s. I still have a bunch of other outfits (and make-up looks) to show you, and I’ll post those in between the christmassy ones.

5 favourites – November

November has come to an end which means that December starts tomorrow! November was a good month, and I slightly started the Christmas festivities this past month. I really can’t believe that it’s December 1 tomorrow, but I can’t wait! As I mentioned in my Christmas jumper haul December is my favourite month and I love everything about Christmas, so I’m sure the next month is going to be amazing. But before we say hello to the last month of the year, let’s say goodbye to November and talk about some favourites.

dsc_0993

e.l.f. Eye Refresh: I’ve had a lot of early days this past month and this product has depuffed my under eye area and minimised any darkness. It’s such a great product and it’s very affordable too.

dsc_1152

MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash mascara: Recently I did a first impressions post on this mascara and my first impressions haven’t changed. I’ve really enjoyed this mascara, and I’m glad I have another sample to crack open when I’ve used up this one.

dsc_1072

Benefit Hoola bronzer: This bronzer is hyped for a reason. The colour is great (not too warm and not too cool), it’s really pigmented, and it blends very nicely on the skin. Love it!

dsc_1197

MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact: This little highlighter and blush duo is right up my alley. The shades are beautiful (and perfect for fair skin), the pigmention is great, and the colours just go with any make-up look which is why I’ve used this compact a lot already.

now-you-see-me

Now You See Me (film): I was ill earlier on this month which obviously wasn’t fun at all, but at least I got to watch some great films I hadn’t watched before. Now You See Me was one of them, and I loved it. If you are into magic and crime fiction you should definitely watch this film.

Christmas jumpers!

I’ve gone a bit Christmas jumper crazy this year. I’ve been looking in stores and online for Christmas jumpers for months now, and when they finally arrived I decided to take advantage of it. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m obsessed with Christmas. December is my favourite month and I love everything there has anything to do with Christmas, and I can’t wait to wear these throughout December (I did wear one the other day; there’s a picture of it on my instagram @muchaluchas). The first one is from the brand VRS which is a brand some of the Danish chain supermarkets carry. I love Christmas trees and I thought the pompons were a fun touch. The second one is from New Look which I ordered off Asos. I thought it was super cute and I love the classic Christmas colours of red, green, and white. The last two are both from H&M. The grey one with the santa was a modern twist on the Christmas jumper with the pop culture reference which I think is awesome, and the red one is the same style of sweatshirt I have in so many other colours and prints, and I just thought this one was super festive. Are you going to wear any Christmas jumpers this year?

Queen Bee

dsc_1085dsc_1090dsc_1092

Here’s the make-up I wore Wednesday October 26. I wanted to play around with my Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Queen Bee and this is how my look turned out. Jeffree’s liquid lipsticks are eye safe, so you can use them as eyeliner like I did here. I’ve used a couple of products for this look that I haven’t ‘hauled’ yet, but I will soon so keep an eye out for that.

(Base: primers – e.l.f. Blemish Control Face Primer + L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation (shade: 51 Light Vanilla), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shades: Soft Light + Cream) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). My first Benefit

dsc_1062dsc_1064dsc_1068

When I was in the Netherlands last month I obviously did a bit of shopping. Besides the products I’m going to talk about now I also bought some great products at the drugstore, but I’ll tell you more about those in a separate post. Today is all about Benefit. I’ve been wanting to try out Benefit’s products for so long, and when I saw this set I had to go for it. It contains the POREfessional primer, Hoola bronzer, Roller Lash mascara and a sample of Gimme Brow brow gel. I’ve heard/read lots of good things about all of these products, so I was/am excited to try them out. I haven’t used the POREfessional primer that many times yet, but it feels nice on the skin and so far I like it. I’m loving the Hoola bronzer which was one of the items I wanted to try out the most. It’s really pigmented and the colour is perfect. I haven’t tried the Roller Lash mascara yet, because I want to finish up the mascaras I’m using at the moment, but this was the other product I wanted to try out the most, so I’m really excited to see if it is as good as people say. The Gimme Brow is a tinted brow gel in the shade 3 medium which is a great shade for me. I’ve used it when going out to add a little extra something to my brows and I really like the way it looks. If you haven’t tried out any Benefit products I think this set is the way to go.
