The Body Shop sale haul

I have a bit of a different haul to share with you today. I purchase products from The Body Shop every once in a while, and lately I’ve been loving their Tea Tree line, so I thought I would order some products from a sale they had online a little while back.

I purchased some products from the 2020 holiday collection. I’ve already used up a Warm Vanilla shower gel, body yogurt, body scrub, and hand cream, so I purchased the Warm Vanilla Duo, which contains a body scrub, a body butter and a loofah. I also purchased the Winter Jasmine body butter and hand cream, which I haven’t tried yet, and the Festive Berry hand cream, which is my night stand hand cream at the moment.

As I mentioned, I love the Tea Tree line from The Body Shop. The Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash has become a stable in my skin care routine, so I purchased a back up. I also purchased the Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Peel-Off Mask and the Tea Tree Targeted Gel.

Lastly, I purchased a big bottle of Mango shower gel. It’s the shower gel I’ve been using lately, and it’s smells really good.

Another matte tricolour eye look

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to try another matte tricolour eye look, but I don’t like this look as much as the last one I did. Maybe this kind of look works better with certain colours/colour combos.

Winter in spring

Here’s what I wore Monday March 15. The colour scheme of this look screams spring, but the layers scream winter (I’m wearing both a shirt, a sweater vest, and a jacket).

(Jacker + shirt – second hand, sweater vest – Stradivarius, bucket hat + jeans – H&M, boots – Asos)

Gold glitter

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Gold is one of the eyeshadow colours that I wear the least, but I thought it would be pretty to wear gold glitter all over my lids with the outift. The gold glitter also looks very pretty paired with a bright, red lip.

Way behind

Here’s what I wore Friday March 12. It’s a bit strange posting a wintery look like this when it’s summer in Denmark right now, but as you might have noticed I’ve way behind when it comes to posting outfits and make-up looks. I guess I’ve just had more time to take pictures during the lock down.

First impressions: Catrice HD Liquid Coverage foundation

It’s been exactly one month since I last wrote a first impressions post, and this time I tested and wrote down my first impressions of the Catrice HD Liquid Coverage foundation.

In this first picture I’m only wearing a primer (e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer) and the foundation. The applicator is a pipette/droplet applicator, which I don’t like; it’s quite messy. I’m wearing the shade 005 Ivory Beige, and it’s a little dark on me, even though it’s the second to lightest shade, but I can make it work. The foundation is full coverage and it has a matte finish (as it claims), but it doesn’t look dry on the skin; my natural oils shine through a little bit, which I don’t mind. It has a pretty strong scent to it, which I’m not the biggest fan of, but I don’t find that it lingers for too long.

In the picture above, I’m also wearing concealer (L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer) and powder (Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent), which looked nice on top of the foundation, and I also think it helped a bit with the shade match. The foundation claims to last up to 24 hours, however I only wore it for 9 hours. It looked pretty much the same right before I removed it as when I applied it; my skin was still matte but not dry looking. The foundation was very easy to remove with micellar water, and overall I really like this foundation, and I’ve since purchased the lightest shade to see if it’s a better match.

Blue eyes/brown lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. A couple of weeks ago, I also posted a blue eyes/brown lip look, and I really liked that look, so here’s another version. Can you tell I like blue and brown together?

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Wet n Wild Photofocus foundation (shade: Soft Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Etherial Light) + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in So Natural, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Cold Comfort. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – BH Cosmetics Lost in Los Angeles palette (shades: The Abbey + City Of Angels) + BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette (shades: Delish + Sugared), mascaras – Essence Volume Booster lash primer + Fenty Beauty Full Frontal – Volume, Lift & Curl mascara, eyeliner – NYX Vivid Brights eyeliner in Love. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Essence Invisible Kiss transparent lipliner in 01 Multitalent Wonder + MAC Derriére lipstick)

Cloudy

Here’s what I wore Thursday March 11. I wanted to wear the cloudy sweater vest, and I really liked the idea of pairing it with the brown faux leather skirt. Blue and brown is a new colour combo discovery of mine, and I’m into it.

(Shirt – second hand, sweater vest – Zara, skirt – H&M, tights – Monki, boots – Topshop)

Pink/gold duochrome

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love pink/gold duochrome eyeshadows, and I thought such an eyeshadow would be perfect with this outfit. The one I’m wearing here is from MAC, but I do have a couple of other similar shades in my collection which are also super pretty.

(Base: primer – Essence Wanna Bee My Honey? luminizing primer in 01 You’re Bee-autiful!, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Essence Camouflage+ Healthy Glow concealer in 10 Light Ivory, powders – Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Milani Silky Matte Bronzing powder in Sun Light, blusher – NYX Sweet Cheeks matte creamy powder blush in Silence is Golden, highlighter – MAC Star-Dipped Face Compact light Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Show Gold.
