5 favourites – October

Happy Halloween! I can’t believe that October has already come to an end. It’s the month I’d been looking forward to almost all year, because it was the month of my due date, and therefore the month that I gave birth to my baby, who turned out to be a gorgeous little girl. I’m so excited for the months to come and to see my daughter grow. I’m also very excited about Christmas coming up soon; I can’t wait to start decorating and to wear my Christmas jumpers again (and to dress my baby girl in cute Christmas clothes). Most of my favourites this month are related to pregnancy and birth, though still fashion related, and even though I have several baby related favourites, I won’t be including those on the blog.

Navy flared leggings (H&M MAMA): I’ve been loving these super comfy flared leggings throughout the last part of my pregnancy, and they’re also what I wore to the hospital the day I gave birth.

Nursing tops (H&M MAMA): For the past two weeks (or just under) I’ve been loving these nursing tops. They just make breastfeeding a lot easier.

Fluffy slippers (Monki): I brought these slippers to the hospital, and I’m so glad I did. I’ve even continued to wear them at home; especially when I get up to breastfeed in the middle of the night.

Pandora necklace w. Disney pendants: I think this is my new favourite necklace. My parents gave it to me as a “new mum” present (the heart shaped Minnie Mouse pendant says “Mum”), and it’s so special to me.

Maybelline Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 Glow (shade: 00 Fair Light): I do have one make-up favourite this month. I’d been wanting to try this product for quite a while, and I’m not disappointed. It’s a similar product to the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, but slightly more pigmented. It’s really pretty on the skin, and I kind of like the sponge applicator.

Sephora haul (September)

I have a collective Sephora haul to share with you today. As far as I remember I made two Sephora orders in September, and I thought I would put them together in this one haul, so let’s get into it.

I had to get the newest Natasha Denona palette; the My Dream palette. I love that it has a mix of neutrals and berries, and I love the duochrome shade called Vision.

I also purchased the Natasha Denona My Dream Cheek Trio, and it’s such a pretty and wearable little cheek palette that goes with most make-up looks.

I also got some lip products and another eyeshadow palette.

I’d heard a couple of beauty youtubers that I follow talk about the Tarte Tartelette Jewel Amazonian Clay palette, and I thought it looked like a very nice mini palette perfect for travelling or for just doing a quick and easy neutral look.

I picked up another Rare Beauty Kind Words matte lipstick and lip liner. The lipstick is in the shade Strong and the lip liner is in the shade Bold. I really want the Bold lipstick as well, but it’s always sold out.

I found this Pat McGrath Labs Lip Fetish Divinyl lip shine 40% off and thought I would give it a try. It’s in the shade Electric Lotus, and it’s super pretty on the lips.

With my second order I got this Make Up My Story Box as a free gift with purchase. It contains 8 minis and 1 full size product the full size product being the Sephora Collection Cream lip stain in 01 Always Red. It also included a NARS Velvet Matte lip pencil in Cruella, a Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow, a Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme, a Nudestix Gel Color Lip + Cheek Balm in Posh, a Natasha Denona eyeshadow in Outer Eye Lid (from the Glam palette), a Make Up For Ever Aquaresist Graphic Pen in 1 Black, a Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes mascara, and an Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel.

Liquid star

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Star Shadows on my eyes. They were very easy to work with and look really nice on the eyes; great for a quick and easy eye look.

Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: NYX Slim lip pencil in Natural + MAC Powder Kiss liquid lipcolour in Mull It Over)

Lovefest

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As I wrote in the outfit post, I built my outfit around this make-up look, because I really wanted to try the new Huda Beauty Lovefest Obsessions palette and lip products (they’ll be in a future haul). I think the look turned out very pretty and very autumnal.

(Base: primer – NYX Plump Right Back serum & primer, foundation – e.l.f. Cosmetics Camo CC Cream (shade: Fair 120N), concealers – Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer (shade: 1 + 3), powders – Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Huda Beauty Glowish Luminous pressed powder in 01 Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Hourglass Ambient Lighting bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light, blusher – Oden’s Eye Sunlight Love blusher in B103 Orange Sunny, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Postmodernist Peach. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Huda Beauty Lovefest Obsessions palette (shades: 2. shade 1. row + 1. & 2. & 3. shade 2. row + 1. shade 3. row) + MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Postmodernist Peach on inner corner and brow bone, mascara – Pat McGrath Labs Dark Star mascara, eyeliner – Revolution x Bratz Sasha eye pencil. Collective haul (September 2022)

It’s time for a collective haul from last month. This haul is a bit of a mix of everything.

I love a roll neck top, so I had to pick up a couple of bump friendly ones. The blue one is from Pieces Maternity, and the purple one is from Vero Moda Maternity. I prefer the fit and look of the blue one, but I love the colours of both.

I’m impatiently waiting for my baby to arrive, and when it does, I really hope that I’ll be able to breastfeed it. So I need some nursing friendly clothes and picked up this two pack of nursing tops from Anna Field MAMA. They’re not my usually style of top, but I have to dress a little more practical, when the baby comes.

These navy joggers are also from Anna Field MAMA, and they’re so comfortable. They’re ready and packed in my hospital bag.

This pair of stretchy navy flared leggings from H&M MAMA has been a favourite of mine lately. They’re super comfy as well.

The last maternity clothes I’ve bought is a two pack of black tights from H&M MAMA. They became kind of necessary when the weather got colder.

I purchased these pink, fluffy slippers from Monki purely to add to my hospital bag, so I would have something cosy to wear on my feet. And that’s enough maternity and hospital talk for now. Let’s move on to make-up.

I haven’t really heard anything about the Maybelline Green Edition Balmy Lip Blush lipsticks, but I was still interested in trying them. I picked up the shades Bonfire and Dusk, a red and a rosy pink, but because I’ve purchased so many new lip products recently, I haven’t gotten around to wearing them yet.

And speaking of lip products, I picked up these two from MAC. I love the packaging of the new MAC Maker lipsticks, so I purchased the @MANUELEMAMELI one, which is a very pretty matte nude shade. I also picked up the yellow lipglass from the MAC X Stranger Things collection. It’s called Marvelous Max, and I thought it would be great to make a lip colour warmer.

I got this Prepped & Ready Lip Prep Kit as a free gift with purchase. It includes a Lipglass Clear, a Lip Scrubtious in Sweet Vanilla, and a Prep + Prime Lip. I didn’t own the Lipglass Clear, but I know a lot of people love it. I have another scent of the Lip Scrubtious, so I know I love that product, and I love everything vanilla scented. And I use Prep + Prime Lip everytime I do my make-up, so it’s nice to have another back-up.

Lastly, and a bit randomly, I got the Glisten Cosmetics Chroma Flakes in Nebula. It’s a stunning iridescent purple glitter, and as you know, I’m really into these kinds of products these days.

More of that colour combo

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As I wrote in the outfit post, I’m not sure if I’ve ever worn blue, pink, and black together before, but I had a lot of fun creating a make-up look with that colour combo as well.

Cosmetics Poreless Putty primer + MAC Strobe Cream (shade: Pinklite), foundation – L’Oreal Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear foundation (shade: 015 Porcelain), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + e.l.f. Pretty much love at first sight

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore a couple of new cream shadows on my eyes, and it was pretty much love at first sight. I also love this glossy nude lip.

Cocopanda haul – mainly new Catrice (August)

Today’s haul consists mainly of new Catrice products, but I also have some Maybelline lipsticks to share with you, so let’s get started.

As I mentioned in my last post, I was so impressed by the Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink liquid lipstick. I wore the shade 25 Red-Hot, and it was so pretty and so long lasting. I also picked up the shade 15 Peachy, which is a peachy nude, and I’m so excited to try out that shade as well now that I know that I love the formula.

From the new Catrice autumn release, I purchased three lipsticks. I got two shades of the Melting Kiss Gloss Sticks and one of the Shine Bomb lipsticks.

The Melting Kiss Gloss Sticks are in the shades 040 Strong Connection and 030 Blushing Hard. As the name of the product suggests, these are pretty much lipgloss in a stick. They’re not fully opaque, but they do have some pigment to them. I’m wearing the shade 030 Blushing Hard here.

I picked up the Shine Bomb lipstick in the shade 020 Blushed Nude, and I was a little nervous that it would be too light for my liking. However, I wore it recently, and it was actually really nice.

As I’ve mentioned several times by now, one of my current make-up obsessions is cream and liquid eyeshadows including cream eyeshadows in stick form. Therefore, I was excited to see that Catrice came out with their Aloe Vera Eyeshadow Sticks. I picked up two shades; 030 Olive Glam and 040 Lavender Brown.

I usually really like Catrice blushers, so I had to get one of each of their new blush formulas. I got the AirBlush Matt in 130 Spice Space and the AirBlush Glow in 030 Rosy Love. I’ve only worn the AirBlush Matt version so far, but I really liked it.

The last two products I picked up were The Glowifier illuminating primer in 010 Glow Rush and the Cover + Care Sensitive concealer in 002N. I think the primer is supposed to do the same as e.g. the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, and it does give the skin a nice glow. I haven’t tried the concealer enough times to give a proper oppinion on it yet.

Impressive lipstick

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore one of the Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink liquid lipsticks on my lips (it’ll be featured in my next haul), and I was so impressed by it. It stayed put all day, and there was barely any transfer. I’m excited to try out more shades.

(Base: primer – Urban Decay All Nighter face primer, foundation – L’Oréal Paris True Match Nude plumping tinted serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powders – Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer in Butta Bisquit, blusher – e.l.f. Cosmetics Luminous Putty blush in Belize, highlighter – MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Tarte Tartelette Jewel Amazonian Clay palette (shades: Bauble + Stacked + Precious + Brilliant + Lavish + Sparkle), mascara – Pat McGrath Labs Dark Star mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: MAC Redd lip pencil + Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink in 25 Red-Hot)

Simple, subtle, and glowy
