How pretty is this Pearlmatte face powder from MAC’s It’s A Strike collection?! It’s called Trophy and from the first time I saw it I knew I had to have it. It’s almost to pretty to use, don’t you think?:)

Sorry about the silence on the blog this past week, but I just got home from a choir trip to the Netherlands last night. I’ve missed blogging and I have a lot of outfits, make-up looks and new products to show you. Today is going to be about lipsticks; MAC lipsticks to be exact. I’ve been waiting patiently for the new permanent lipstick range, the Bangin’ Brilliant collection, to launch in Denmark, and when it finally did I decided to purchase three lipsticks (even though I could have bought pretty much the entire collection). The collection is full of fun, different, colourful shades with different finishes though most of the lipsticks are either matte or frost. All three shades I decided to get are matte lipsticks. The shades I picked up are In The Spirit (black), 4Eva (purple), and Deep Rooted (grey brown). I’ve only worn Deep Rooted so far and I loved it. I can’t wait to wear the other shades as well.

Here’s a few clothing items I purchased a couple of weeks ago from H&M that I thought I would show you. I’ve been obsessed with bomber jackets lately, and I’ve been trying on this pink satin one before, and I’m so glad I finally decided to buy it. The khaki green shoulderless top was on sale, and I thought it was really cute and appropriate for this season because of the colour (not so much the shoulderless part). Lastly, I bought a scarf. I only ever wear scarfs outdoors when it’s cold, and I needed a scarf that was not too thick or warm to wear now before it gets too cold outside. I found this black and white one that I thought would go with all my different jackets and coats, and I have already used it quite a bit.

I’m finally the happy owner of a YSL lipstick. I’ve been wanting a YSL Rouge Volupté Shine lipstick for years now, and finally this beauty is mine. This lipstick formula is sheer and creamy, and I chose the shade 29 which is a neutral red shade that makes your lips look pretty and plump.

About three weeks ago I recieved my first Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks, and I thought I would share my first impressions of them with you. I’d heard/read so many amazing things about these liquid lipsticks, so I was very happy to find them on Beautybay.com (one of my favourite webshops). At the time there was a limited selection of shades (but there has recently been added more shades), so I decided to get the two colours you see in the picture. The one in the yellow packaging is from the limited edition summer collection and it’s called Watermelon Soda, and the one in the pink packaging is a permanent shade and it’s called Blow Pony. The only difference I found with these two shades (apart from the colour of course) is the fact that the limited edition shade smells like watermelon and it smells phenomenal. The formula is very thin and liquidy, but very easy to apply. The pigmentation is fantastic and the product dries completely matte and transfer proof. I don’t find the lipsticks particularly drying on the lips and they last a very long lime. Like pretty much every other lipstick they wear off a bit on the inner/soft part of the lips when you eat and drink, but compared to the LA Splash liquid lipsticks these layer well and is therefore easy to touch up. I was able to remove (almost) all product with regular make-up remover/cleasing water. To be completely honest these are the best liquid lipsticks I’ve tried so far, and I highly recommend them.

I’ve been purchasing a few drugstore products recently, and I thought I would do a collective haul.

My favourite purchase is the NYX Strobe Of Genius illuminating palette which I featured in my 5 favourites from August. I highly recommend this palette! The shades are so gorgeous and I love having so many highlight options in one place; it’s so travel friendly. My favourite shade so far has been the second shade in the top row which is a beautiful light pinky shade.

I purchased two more NYX products at the same time as the Strobe Of Genius palette; the HD Studio Photogenic finishing powder and the Slide On, Glide On, Stay On… (the name is so long) lip liner in Red Tape. The powder is a loose powder and has a very mattifying effect, but it doesn’t make your skin look dry. And you might know that my go-to lip colour is red, so I’m always on the hunt for red lip liners.

I had heard good things about the Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin powder foundation, so when I saw it was on sale, I had to try it out. I’ve only used it a couple of times, but so far I like it. I got mine in the shade 005 Light Beige.

Lastly, I did some repurchases as well. The Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 HR foundations (both the full coverage one with the red lid and this medium coverage one with the white lid) are some of my favourite foundations and I always have at least one in my collection. I also repurchased the e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator which is a much needed product when you are a matte lipstick lover.

For my birthday earlier this month I got my fifth MAC eye shadow, so I went out and bought an empty 15 pan MAC eye shadow palette, and I’m excited to add more eye shadows to this palette over time. The eye shadow I got for my birthday was Nylon which is described as a pale gold with icy shimmer and it has a frost finish. It’s the perfect inner corner and browbone highlight and I’m sure I’m going to use it a lot.

I’ve been shopping quite a bit lately and apart from the second hand clothes I bought recently, I’ve also bought some new clothes (as in not used). The item I’m most excited about is the black bomber jacket from WEEKDAY. I’ve been wanting a black bomber for a really long time, and this one is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The blue/white jacket/cardigan (I don’t know what to call it) is from H&M and it was on sale. I thought it was cute and different to anything else I own. The denim shirt I actually bought about a month ago. I’ve been looking for a new denim shirt, and this one from Only seems to be the perfect length and it’s really comfortable as well. I usually don’t buy a lot of basics, but I had to get the grey WEEKDAY T-shirt. The material is so soft and I really like the fit. Lastly, I was on the hunt for a dress to wear at my mum’s birthday party in the end of August, and this one from H&M is so pretty. I love the colours and pattern and the simple style of the dress. I’m really looking forward to style and wear all these items.

You might have noticed by now that I’m obsessed with limited edition MAC products. I’m especially obsessed with limited edition lipsticks and I consider them collectables, but as you might also have noticed I actually use them and don’t just keep them on display. When I found out about the Good Luck Trolls collection I was really excited, because the packaging looked so colourful and pretty, and I’m so glad I managed to get my hands on these products. Initially I only ordered one lipstick and a beauty powder, but then I swatched the other lipstick colours in store yesterday and bought one more.

The lipstick I ordered online was this fun blue one. It’s called Midnight Troll and has a matte finish. It’s similar to Matte Royal from MAC’s permanent lipstick line, but Matte Royal is a bit darker and has a slight purple undertone. Midnight Troll is just straight up blue. And how cute is the name! All the names in this collection are spot on.

The lipstick I couldn’t resist at the physical store yesterday was this beautiful shimmery hot pink. It’s called Dance Off, Pants Off (how amazing is that name) and it has a frost finish. This is my first frost finish lipstick from MAC, and I can’t wait to try it on. It’s funny how frosty and metallic lipsticks have become popular again.

The product I knew I wanted as soon as I saw it was this gorgeous beauty powder. It’s called Glow Rida (another amazing name) and is a light shimmery beige powder. I wore it yesterday as my highlighter, and it was so beautiful. It’s quite a subtle highlighter, but you can definitely build it up which was what I did, and it just looks so gorgeous on the skin. This has to be my favourite packaging from the collection; that shimmery bright pink packaging is every make-up lovers dream.

I placed an order on Beautybay.com a little while ago and I thought I would show you what I purchased.

The products I was most excited to try were the liquid lipsticks from L.A. Splash. I ordered three different kinds to test the formulas out, and I’ll make an updating post about these when I’ve tried all of them out. I got a Lip Couture in Ghoulish, a Studio Shine Lip Lustre in Catrina, and a Velvetmatte in Flix n Chill.

In my last Beautybay order I purchased two Makeup Geek blushers which I love, so I thought I would finally try out Makeup Geek eye shadows. I chose Cupcake (dusty pink) and Chickadee (warm yellow) which are both matte shadows. I haven’t worn Cupcake yet, but I’ve used Chickadee to warm up my crease a couple of times and it looked very pretty.

I also purchased two more Morphe brushes; M411 and M510. M411 is a more precise crease brush and M510 I use for highlighting. Morphe brushes are really good quality brushes for affordable prices.

Lastly, I purchased some Ardell Demi Wispies false lashes and some Duo lash adhesive. I would like to wear false lashes more often on special occasions.

And then I also got a free gift. I chose a sample size Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear brow gel which I’m excited to try out as soon as I’ve used up the brow gel I’m using at the moment.
