Exciting Velour liquid lipsticks

dsc_1625dsc_1629

My latest order of Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks is really exciting. I purchased one of the shades I’ve been wanting since I first discovered Jeffree Star Cosmetics, his first metallic shade, and two shades from his limited edition holiday collection. Redrum was one of the original three Velour liquid lipsticks and I’ve heard several youtubers say that it’s their go-to red lipstick. As you might know by now red is my go-to lip colour, so I’ve been wanting Redrum for so long, and when I finally saw it on Beauty Bay I bought it right away. I’ve worn it a few times and it really is gorgeous; such a good classic red. I love that Jeffree has started making metallic liquid lipsticks as well, and since his first metallic shade released he has come out with two more. But the shade I’ve got is Dreamhouse which is the perfect name for a metallic hot pink lipstick. I wore it New Year’s Eve and it was so cool and festive. Lastly, I had to pick up a couple of his holiday lipsticks. I chose the shades Pumpkin Pie and Crocodile Tears. Pumpkin Pie is a terracotta orange with red/pink and gold shimmer (I think – it’s hard to see the exact colours of the shimmer) and Crocodile Tears is a dark green. I haven’t worn these shades yet, but I’m really excited to play around with them.

Small collective haul

Here’s a few products I picked up over the past few months. The MAC lip pencil is in the shade Redd, and I’ve been wanting it for quite a while, but it had been sold out online and at my local MAC counters for months. I wanted it because it’s a yellow based red and I thought it would be perfect for all my bright yellow based red lipsticks. I also picked up another Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner in the shade 018 Addiction which is a really pretty nude. I had been wanting to try out the Wet n Wild Megaglo contouring palette in the shade Dulce De Leche, because I had heard good things about it, so when I finally found it in the right shade I had to try it out. The colours are really nice for my fair skin and so far I quite like it. On the same day I also picked up the Wet n Wild Coverall primer which I really like as well.

MAC Mariah Carey

dsc_1467

Like many other MAC enthusiasts I was really excited about the MAC Mariah Carey collection, and I decided to get two lipsticks and a blusher. As you can see the packaging is absolutely gorgeous; the silver glitter with the pale gold is just beautiful.

The blusher I picked up is You’ve Got Me Feeling which is a light candy pink. I chose this one because I don’t really have any bright pink blushers.

I picked up two of the lipsticks because look at that packaging! All the shades in this collection are very neutral which is normally not something I go for, but that’s exactly why I thought it would be fun to try out a couple of shades.

The first shade I got is Dahhlinggg which is a light peachy pink shade. I decided to get this shade because I have nothing like it in my collection. It’s my first Cremesheen finish lipstick from MAC, and I haven’t worn it yet, so I’m excited to see how pigmented or sheer it is on the lips.

The second lipstick I got is All I Want which is a champagne shimmer. I got this partly because of the name, but also because I’ve been loving frosty/metallic lips lately. I have worn this lipstick once so far and I actually really liked it. It’s a bit sheer so I wore a lipliner underneath. I think it would be a beautiful lip topper as well.

Latest Jeffree Star order

dsc_1285

Here’s my latest order of Jeffree Star products. As I mentioned in my first impressions post on the Velour liquid lipsticks they are my absolute favourite liquid lipsticks, and I love that Beautybay.com keeps adding more shades. They now also have some of the Skin Frost highlighters, so I got one of those as well.

The liquid lipstick shades I decided to get were (from top to bottom) Leo, Masochist, Abused, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and they are gorgeous.

The Skin Frost I got is Peach Goddess and it’s such a beautiful peachy pink shade. I really want the Skin Frost in Ice Cold as well, but I haven’t been able to get my hands on that one yet.

Christmas jumpers!

I’ve gone a bit Christmas jumper crazy this year. I’ve been looking in stores and online for Christmas jumpers for months now, and when they finally arrived I decided to take advantage of it. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m obsessed with Christmas. December is my favourite month and I love everything there has anything to do with Christmas, and I can’t wait to wear these throughout December (I did wear one the other day; there’s a picture of it on my instagram @muchaluchas). The first one is from the brand VRS which is a brand some of the Danish chain supermarkets carry. I love Christmas trees and I thought the pompons were a fun touch. The second one is from New Look which I ordered off Asos. I thought it was super cute and I love the classic Christmas colours of red, green, and white. The last two are both from H&M. The grey one with the santa was a modern twist on the Christmas jumper with the pop culture reference which I think is awesome, and the red one is the same style of sweatshirt I have in so many other colours and prints, and I just thought this one was super festive. Are you going to wear any Christmas jumpers this year?

My first Benefit

dsc_1062dsc_1064dsc_1068

When I was in the Netherlands last month I obviously did a bit of shopping. Besides the products I’m going to talk about now I also bought some great products at the drugstore, but I’ll tell you more about those in a separate post. Today is all about Benefit. I’ve been wanting to try out Benefit’s products for so long, and when I saw this set I had to go for it. It contains the POREfessional primer, Hoola bronzer, Roller Lash mascara and a sample of Gimme Brow brow gel. I’ve heard/read lots of good things about all of these products, so I was/am excited to try them out. I haven’t used the POREfessional primer that many times yet, but it feels nice on the skin and so far I like it. I’m loving the Hoola bronzer which was one of the items I wanted to try out the most. It’s really pigmented and the colour is perfect. I haven’t tried the Roller Lash mascara yet, because I want to finish up the mascaras I’m using at the moment, but this was the other product I wanted to try out the most, so I’m really excited to see if it is as good as people say. The Gimme Brow is a tinted brow gel in the shade 3 medium which is a great shade for me. I’ve used it when going out to add a little extra something to my brows and I really like the way it looks. If you haven’t tried out any Benefit products I think this set is the way to go.

MAC Nutcracker Sweet

dsc_1174dsc_1203

I’m always excited about MAC’s Holiday collections, and this year I was not disappointed. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, and the products are beautiful, so I thought I would show you what I decided to pick up from this year’s collection.

dsc_1185dsc_1206

Obviously I had to have one of the lipsticks, and I chose this beautiful deep purple shade called Leap of Delight. It has a matte finish, and I love how it matches the packaging.

dsc_1187dsc_1189dsc_1190

I also decided to get one of the Magic Dust powders. I chose the shade Yum Yum Yum which is a pretty pink with gold shimmer. It looks beautiful on the skin, and look at the stars in the actual powder! So gorgeous.

dsc_1195dsc_1197dsc_1198dsc_1199

Lastly, I had to get my hands on one of the face compacts. Even though the Copper one was the most hyped one (do to the fact that the highlighter in it is the popular Whisper of Gilt) I decided to get the Peach one because it contains the lighter shades. I wouldn’t say that there’s anything peach about it, but I love it none the less. The Extra Dimension Skinfinish (highlighter) is called Tutu and the Extra Dimension Blush is called At Dusk and both powders are stunning.

Back-up, new, sample

dsc_1000dsc_1009

It’s been over year since I purchased my first MAC Pro Longwear concealer, I’ve used it almost every day since, and there’s still some product left. Not much product though, so I needed to buy a back-up, so I wouldn’t run out of it. I ordered it online, and I thought I would purchase my first MAC powder blush as well. I’ve heard so many good things about the powder blushers and I’m not disappointed in the shade I got. I decided to get Desert Rose which was on top of my MAC blusher wishlist. It’s described as soft reddish-burgundy and it has a matte finish. I thought it would be the perfect autumn/winter blusher and it really is. During the month of October you would get a free mascara sample with every online order, and it’s a sample of the Zoom Fast Black Lash. I’ve been using it quite a bit and I really like it. I’ll do a first impressions post on it within the next few weeks.

More Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks

dsc_1017

I was so impressed with the first two Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks I bought that I had to get hold of some more shades. The bright yellow is called Queen Bee and is from the limited edition summer collection, the nude is called Celebrity Skin, the deep brown red is called Unicorn Blood, the dark mauve is called Androgyny, and the dusty green is called Dirty Money. These colours are gorgeous, and you’ll definitely see me wear these in future make-up posts.
