Colourpop news + 20% off haul (October 2024)

I have a collective Colourpop haul to share with you today. It includes products from a couple of new at the time collections plus some products I got 20% off.

I love a Christmas themed make-up collection, and the Colourpop x Frosty the Snowman collection is just so cute. I picked up the entire collection bundle.

The Frosty the Snowman palette has a very pretty, icy, cool-toned colour story, which is a bit different from a more traditional Christmas colour story, and I like that. I wore the palette and some of the other products from the collection here.

I really enjoy the Jelly Much eyeshadows from Colourpop, and the Frosty the Snowman collection included the Snow Days! Jelly Much eyeshadow duo in Freezin’ and Made Of Snow, which are a pastel blue shade and a pastel lilac pink shade.

The Super Shock highlighter is one of my favourite products from Colourpop, so I was probably most excited about the Fastest Belly-Whopper Super Shock highlighter kit from this collection. The shades are called Winter Wonder and Icicle Spree, and they’re so pretty!

Moving on to lips, this is the Chill Out! So Juicy plumping gloss balm set in Frozen, All Melted, and Feeling Like Frosty.

And these are the Snow Much Fun! Lux lipstick kit including Magic Hat Lippie pencil and Silly Snowman Lux lipstick and the Happy Jolly Fun! Lux lipstick kit including Over The Hills lippie pencil and First Snow Lux lipstick. I like all of the lip products, but the Lippie pencils are my favourites.

The collection also included the Welcome to the North Pole lip care set, which comes with the Northbound lip mask and the Have A Parade lip scrub, which are both candy cane scented.

And the last item in the Frosty the Snowman collection was the Everyone’s Favorite Snowman makeup sponge. So cute!

Now, let’s move on to the other two items that was new-ish at the time and therefore wasn’t on sale. I loved Bratz growing up, so I picked up the Bratz Girls Nite Out palette and the Bratz Jade Lippie kit from the Bratz collection.

The colour story of this palette is dark and cool-toned, and I actually think it would pair quite well with the Frosty the Snowman palette.

The Bratz Jade Lippie kit included a Lippie pencil and a Lippie Stix in the shade Koolkat.

I got the rest of the products in this haul 20% off. I’d been thinking about getting the Haunted Mansion Welcome Foolish Mortals palette ever since it launched for the first time around Halloween in 2023, so when it was back in stock and 20% off I had to add it to my cart. It’s another cool-toned palette that would pair well with the Frosty the Snowman palette and the Bratz Girls Nite Out palette.

The last palette in this haul is the After Hours palette, and guess what, it’s another cool-toned palette. I guess I was into buying cool-toned palettes at the time.

The Winx Club palette was actually one of my first Colourpop purchases ever, and when they rereleased the collection last year, they added some more products including the Winx Club Super Shock highlighter in Magix Gem. I don’t prefer this packaging but the highlighter itself is beautiful.

The Colourpop BBF crème gel liners are some of my favourite eyeliners, so I picked up some more shades (from left to right): Aglow (back-up), Amethyst Hour, Joy Ride, and Charmer.

The last three products I picked up was the liquid blush in She’s Cute, the So Juicy plumping glossy lip oil in Beverly Drive, and the Power Pout lipstick in Party Hour. I just wanted to try these formulas out.

Pj-like

Here’s what I wore Monday November 4. This whole outfit was so comfortable; from the matching pj-like set to the Crocs. It was still colourful though and I also felt put-together in this look.

Purple and pumpkin orange

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I had recently purchased the Natasha Denona Roxa palette, so I really wanted to create a look with it, and it’s a beautiful purple palette. I also love that glossy, pumpkin orange lip.

Halloween colours

Here’s what I wore Friday November 1. Since Halloween was over, I didn’t want to wear a costume inspired outfit, but I did want to wear an outfit in a Halloween colour scheme, and orange and purple are two of the first colours I think about when I think about Halloween.

(Roll neck top + trousers + boots – Monki, belt – Glamorous)

Haunted eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I had to do a purple and green make-up look to go with my Beetlejuice inspired outfit, and the Gourmande Girls Cosmetics Haunted palette had the perfect colour story to create this purple and green eye look. The fact that it’s a Halloween/spooky themed palette made applying the eyeshadows even more fun.

(Base: primer – e.l.f Cosmetics Power Grip primer + 4% Niacinamide, foundation – L’Oréal Paris True Match Nude plumping tinted serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light), concealers – e.l.f. Eyebrows: MAC Shape + Shade brow tint in Taupe + Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze. Lips: Colourpop Lippie pencil in V Cute + NYX Beetlejuice Sandstorm Swirl Butter Gloss in 04)

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, houndstooth

Here’s what I wore Thursday October 31. I thought it was very fitting to wear a Beetlejuice inspired look on Halloween last year, and I was very excited about the fact that one of my students recognised the inspiration right away.

(Blazer + shirt + leggings – Monki, tie – vintage, socks – H&M, shoes – Crocs)

Zalando haul – mainly sale (October 2024)

I have a Zalando haul to share with you today. I purchased most of these items on sale.

I love adding a new pair of Nike Cortez sneakers to my ever growing Nike Cortez collection, and how fun are these orange ones?!

I also love adding new pairs of Crocs to my ever growing Crocs collection, and this time around I added these three pairs, which are all different versions of the Stomp style.

And speaking of Crocs, I also got these three sets of Jibbitz to add to different pairs of Crocs.

Lastly, I purchased two more pairs of coloured tights from Calzedonia. These weren’t on sale.

Easy and simple, but effective

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This eye look was easy and simple to do, but those beautiful shimmers make it look like I put a lot more effort into the eye make-up than I actually did.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Poreless Putty primer, foundation – e.l.f. Cosmetics Soft Glam satin foundation (shade: 13 Fair Neutral), concealers – e.l.f. Cosmetics Putty Color-Correcting Eye Brightener (shade: Fair) + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder in Light. Face make-up: bronzer – Haus Labs Power Sculpt velvet bronzer in Soleil Sand, blush – Haus Labs Color Fuse powder blush in Hibiscus Haze, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Let It Glow. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 20 Cream + Glamlite Dirty Martini palette (shades: Garnish + Crisp) + Get Stonned Stonned 10 pan palette (shades: Ocean Eyes + Diamond), mascaras – MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara + Pat McGrath Labs Dark Star mascara, eyeliner – Oden’s Eye Solmåne gel liner in 005 Avocado. Eyebrows: MAC Shape + Shade brow tint in Taupe + Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze. Lips: NYX Slim lip pencil in Nude Truffle + Kaleidos Untamed Glow glossy lip glaze in Freefall)

Duckie Dale who?

Here’s what I wore Wednesday October 30. It’s not the first time I’ve worn an outfit inpired by the character of Duckie Dale (from Pretty in Pink). His style is iconic and a great inspiration for Halloween or another occasion that requires a costume or any other day to be honest.

(Hat + socks – H&M, shirt – Monki, blazer + waistcoat + trousers – second hand, shoes – Crocs)
