5 favourites – July

It’s the last day of the month, but my first day back to work after a long and wonderful maternity leave and holiday. It’s really nice to get back to work, but it’s also going to be strange and a bit difficult not spending the entire day everyday with my daughter anymore. At least I have my little family to come home to after work. Anyways, I had a lovely July with many make-up favourites (you discover some favourites when you travel with limited amounts of make-up) and a film favourite.

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop blurring skin tint (shade: 2): It took me over a year to get into this skin tint. I think it’s because I was still getting into skin tints in general around the time I bought this, but now I prefer a lighter coverage foundation most days.

KimChi Chic Candy Girl Fake Freckles in Afternoon in The Flower Field: After my pregnancy last year, some of my natural freckles became more visible, so I decided to try a faux freckles product, and I instantly fell in love with this one from KimChi Chic. I’m wearing it in my last three make-up posts (and in many more to come), and I think it looks really good.

Cosmic Brushes eyeshadow palettes: It’s been a while since I’ve featured an eyeshadow palette in one of these posts, because I try so many new ones, but I’ve loved the eyeshadow palettes from Cosmic Brushes this past month. I brought both the Royal Rose palette and the Serenity palette with my on holiday, and I was able to create so many different looks with them. The quality of these eyeshadows is amazing.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Luminous Putty bronzers (shades: Summer Fridays and Vacay Mood): The original e.l.f. Cosmetics Putty bronzer in Tan Lines is one of my most used cream bronzer, and I was very happy to discover that the luminous version is just as good. I love both a warm and a cool shade.

Barbie (film): This is a very recent favourite, because I watched it just yesterday. I’ve loved Barbie since I was a child, so I was so excited about this film, and it didn’t disappoint. If you like Barbie and comedy, it’s a must watch.

Pretty creasing

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You know I love a blue eye look, and I think this look is beautiful. However, I did find that the shimmer shadows creased a bit on my eyelids, which is a bummer, because they’re so pretty.

Kind of a classic

Here’s the make-up I wore Monday June 26. For once, I wanted to create a neutral eye look, and I went for cool tones paired with a dark red lip; kind of a classic look you might say.

Cocopanda haul (March 2023)

I have a Cocopanda haul to share with you today. It consists of a bunch of drugstore/affordable products.

Let’s begin with Essence and the Bloomin’ Bright collection. I like this collection even more than I thought I would. The colour scheme is pink and orange, which is one of my favourite colour combos, and the quality of the products is great. I picked up the Bloomin’ Bright eyeshadow & eyeliner palette in 01 See Me Bloomin’, the Bloomin’ Bright blushlighter in 01 Bloom With Me!, the Bloomin’ Bright lip glow sticks in 01 Smilin’ Bright and 02 Bloom Up!, and the Bloomin’ Bright fine eyeliner brush in 01 Feelin’ Brighty Fine.

Here are some closer looks at the products. I’m wearing them all (though only the orange lipstick) here, and I loved that make-up look.

The last Essence product in this haul is the Essence 24ever defined volume mascara, which was a free gift with my purchase.

From L’Oréal I picked up two more of the Color Riche Glow Paradise Balm-In-Lipsticks. They’re in the shades 642 Beige Eden and 193 Rose Mirage. I really like this lipstick formula.

From Catrice I got the Calligraph Artist matte liners in 020 Ocean Flirt and 030 Off Tropic, and I’ve had fun playing with these.

Lastly, I purchased the Wet ‘n Wild Photo Focus Dewy foundation in Soft Ivory. I used to have the original version of this foundation, and I liked it back then, so I thought I would try out the dewy version.

Nice pastels

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I always enjoy a nice pastel look.

Sephora haul (March 2023)

I have a Sephora haul to share with you today. I purchased these products back in March, so I’ve already worn most of them.

Let’s begin with lip products for once. I picked up two more of the Fenty Beauty Poutsicle hydrating lip stains. These are in the shades Zestie Bestie 02 and Strawberry Sangria 03. I haven’t worn Zestie Bestie 02 yet, but I love Strawberry Sangria 03. I also love the Natasha Denona I Need A Rouge matte liquid lipstick in Eva, which is one of the best liquid lipsticks formulas I’ve tried.

I also purchased two contour products; the Tarte Sculpt Tape contour in Cool Bronze and the Milk Makeup Sculpt Stick in Toasted. I really enjoy both of these.

The last two products I bought was the Make Up For Ever HD Skin Undetectable stay-true foundation in 1N06 and the R.E.M. Beauty Midnight shadows liquid eye shadow in Labcoat. The foundation is too dark on me, but I’ve made it work mixed with a white foundation, and I do like the formula. And I already knew I liked the R.E.M. Beauty Midnight shadows, and this is a pretty iridescent pink shade.

I got samples of the Make Up For Ever Hydra Booster Step 1 primer and the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD microfinishing loose powder as gifts with my Make Up For Ever purchase. I haven’t used them enough to form a proper opinion on them yet.
