Here’s what I wore Friday September 24. I just love this bold floral suit. I can just style it with a plain T-shirt and some sneakers and then I have this super fun and colourful outfit which is still really comfy.
It’s been quite a few months since I last did a ‘first impressions’ post, so it’s time for another one. This one is a bit overdue, since I’ve already featured the MAC Magic Extension mascara in my 5 favourites post from September 2021. However, as you might have guessed, I really like this mascara, so I still wanted to write this post.
The mascara has a big but more classic bristle brush wand. The formula appears a little sticky, but that makes the product grip on to the lashes, and it dries down quite quickly. I think my lashes looked really good; the mascara gave my lashes both length and volume, but especially volume. I did wear two coats on my top lashes to achieve this look. I used a spoolie to remove the mascara marks I got on my eyelids and underneath my eyes (there were very few though), and it was very easy. There was only a little transfer to my browbones/top of my eyelids after a few hours of wear but nothing too bad and the transfer was very minimal the rest of the day. I removed the mascara with regular eye make-up remover, and it was not the easiest mascara to remove; it took a bit more time and effort to remove than it does with most of my go-to mascaras. However, this mascara has a lot of good things going for it and only a few less good things, so overall I really enjoy this mascara. Since I wrote down my first impressions I’ve used up the mascara (which is a travel size), and I continued to enjoy it throughout the couple of months I used it.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You might know that I love a monochromatic make-up look, and I think this might be my first mustard one, but I’m sure not my last one.

Here’s what I wore Thursday September 23. It was my first day back to work after being ill with the flu for a week, so I just wanted to wear something comfortable.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used one of the “new” Wet n Wild Color Icon 10-Pan palettes, and I was very impressed by the quality and pigmentation.

Here’s what I wore Wednesday September 15. As you can see, the weather had started to get colder around this time in September last year, which meant that I had to wear a few more layers such as a blazer and “socks”.
(Blazer – second hand, T-shirt + trousers + fishnet socks – H&M, heels – Asos Design)
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used the Natasha Denona Retro palette on my eyes, and I thought it was a pretty perfect match for my funky shirt.

Here’s what I wore Tuesday September 14. I really wanted to style up this funky short sleeve shirt from Monki and decided to let it do all the talking by pairing it with a simple tank, jeans and matching heels.
(Shirt – Monki, top + jeans – H&M, heels – Public Desire)
I have a huge collective Sephora haul to share with you today. These are products I purchased in August and September last year, and I got most of the products 20% off. I’ll let you know which product I didn’t get on sale. Some of the products, I’ve already featured in 5 favourites posts.
Let’s start with one of the main things in this haul; the Natasha Denona Retro palette. This is one of the few items I purchased full prize, because I wanted it as soon as it launched. To be honest I actually haven’t used this palette that much yet, but it’s stunning nonetheless.
Okay, now let’s move on to a bunch of different products. From Natasha Denona I also picked up the Mini Zendo palette and the Love Cheek duo, and from Winky Lux I picked up the Cheeky Rose compact blush in Crown (and it was before it went viral on social media). I also got the Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral, and then I purchased three concealers: the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in Vanilla (mini), the Too Faced Born This Way super coverage concealer in Snow (mini), and the Fenty Beauty Bright Fix Eye Brightener in Golden Ivory.
Here’s a closer look at the Natasha Denona products. The Mini Zendo palette has quite a unique colour story, but the shades work so well together, and I really liked the look I created with this palette. The Love Cheek duo is just stunning. The outer packaging is obviously beautiful, and so are the cream blush and powder highlighter inside as well.
This is what the Winky Lux blush looks like. It’s so beautiful, and I can’t get myself to use it, because I don’t want to ruin the pretty rose.
I featured this Dior powder in my September favourites last year, and I’m still in love with this product.
I don’t purchase a lot of high end concealers, but I really wanted to try the Fenty Bright Fix and also a couple of well known concealers in the beauty community. I’m still not completely sure how I feel about the Nars and the Too Faced concealers, but I really enjoy the Fenty one.
Here’s a handful of products I picked up at the same time. I’d been wanting to try out some products from Pat McGrath Labs, so I picked up a Skin Fetish: Divine blush in the shade Fleurtatious. It’s such a luxurious product (though a little difficult to open), and the blush itself is beautiful. I also picked up the Fenty Beauty Bomb Posse Mega Mix & Match eyeshadow palette. I’ve only used this palette once so far, and I was quite disappointed in the quality. I like the Snap Shadows from Fenty Beauty and I love that you can attach two Snap Shadows to the back of this palette, but the quality is not the same in this palette as in the Snap Shadows. However, I’ve only used some of the lighter shades, so I have to give the darker shades a try as well. The last product in this little “pile” is the Sephora By Travalo pocket atomizer. I like to be able to travel with perfume without having to bring the whole bottle.
And now on to some Huda Beauty products. First off, I picked up the Glow Obsessions Light highlighter palette and the Wild Obsessions Python palette (this one wasn’t on sale).
This is such a pretty highlighter palette, and I really should use it more.
The colour story of this palette is stunning. I’ve done a look using the blue and greens, and it turned out so beautiful.
I also purchased this Kayali x Huda Beauty Darling Kit, which was such a good deal. It consists of the KAYALI Eau de Parfum rollerball (MUSK | 12 & VANILLA | 28), the Huda Beauty Obsessions palette in Topaz, the Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte lipstick in Interview, and a limited edtion pouch. I’m obsessed with the rollerball; both scents are delicious and they’ve quickly become two of my new favourite scents. I also featured it in my September favourites.
I love most of the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes, and I didn’t have the Topaz one, so I’m excited to add that to my collection. And the lipstick is a pretty nude shade.
Lastly, I got this free gift with one of my orders. It’s the All Eyes On Me gift box, and it includes the Make Up Forever Aqua Resist Smoky Shadow in 16 Copper, the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara (mini), the Nars Climax mascara (mini), and the Sephora Size Up mascara (mini).
