Affordable make-up haul

I have a collective affordable make-up haul to share with you today. It contains a bit of everything.

Let’s start with base products. Well, the L’Oréal Shake & Glow luminous setting spray might not be a base product per se, but you apply it all over your face, so I guess it kind of falls under this category. I’ve used it a few times, and it has the finest mist. For concealers I bought a back up of my favourite concealer, the L’Oréal Infaillable More Then Concealer, and the L’Oréal True Match Eye-Cream In A Concealer (shade: 1-2D Ivory Beige). I’ll be posting a first impressions on this concealer at some point, so stay tuned for that. I also purchased the L’Oréal True Match Perfecting Powder in 2.N Vanilla, and the e.l.f. High Definition powder in Sheer, which I didn’t know that I already owned. Whoops.

Then I purchased a bunch of mascaras. I bought two back ups of the L’Oréal Lash Paradise mascara and one back up of the L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara; two of my favourite mascaras. Then I bought the very popular Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara, which I’ll also do a first impressions post on, and lastly I purchased the L’Oréal Lash Paradise mascara primer.

Now, let’s move on to some Essence stuff. I’ve bought three lip liners; two of the Stay 8h lipliners (shades: 04 Naïve + 08 Passionate) and one of the Soft & Precise lip pencils in the shade Late Night. I also bought the eyeshadow in 14 Flirting, which is a great transition shade and the The Highlighter in the shade 01 Mesmerizing. I liked the Fire lipstick from the My Power Is collection so much that I decided to get the water and air lipsticks as well. They’re called 04 Dance With The Waves! and 01 Up In The Clouds!.

In my last make-up haul, I mentioned the Essence Shine, Shine, Shine lipglosses, and I really like them, so I purchased another shade. It’s a pretty, sparkly, purple shade called 15 Watch Me Do.

And now on to the last three products from Essence. I found this new limited edition collection at my local supermarket last week. It consists of two eyeshadow palettes and two highlighter palettes, but I only got one of the highlighter palettes, because the other one (called My Little Gold highlighter palette) was too dark for me. The highlighter palette I got is called My Little Platinum highlighter palette, and it contains three shades. The two eyeshadow palettes are called My Little Copper eyeshadow palette and My Little Coral eyeshadow palette, and they swatch so nicely. The packaging is really cute too, and I really like the crown designs in the pans.

And last, but not least, I purchased two products from The Balm. I know that The Balm isn’t a super affordable brand, but I got these for a good price, and I didn’t know which haul to put them in otherwise. The products that I got are the Balm Beach blush and the Balm Desert bronzer/blush, and I’m excited to try these.

Rainbow eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really wanted to do a rainbow eye look to match my jumper, so I had to do my eyeshadow differently than how I usually do my eyeshadow, but I really like how this look turned out, and it was fun to try a different technique.

Overalls and rainbows

Here’s what I wore Monday February 1. I really felt like wearing a pair of overalls, because I hadn’t worn a pair in so long, and I went with my purple corduroy ones and styled them with some rainbow goodness. A perfect comfy, colourful Monday outfit.

(Overalls – Monki, jumper – Boohoo, sneakers – Nike)

Colours to match

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Of course, I had to wear a colourful make-up look to match my colour cardigan.

’70s and ’80s

Here’s what I wore Friday January 29. I guess I was influenced by both the ’70s and the ’80s when putting together this look, and it turned out to be such a fun yet comfortable outfit.

(Cardigan + roll neck top – second hand, belt – Asos, trousers + boots – Monki)

H&M haul: Lee collab and more

It’s time for a collective H&M haul. It consists of a bit of everything.

Let’s start with the pieces I purchased from the Lee collaboration. I puchased the ’90s wide ultra high waist jeans, the lilac T-shirt, the white T-shirt, and the denim bucket hat. These items are my kind of basics.

I’ve also purchased another pair of jeans. These are a pair of mom jeans with the cutest Mickey Mouse print on them.

I’m really longing for spring and summer, but I’ve only purchased a few spring/summer pieces so far. One of the more summery pieces that I’ve bought is this brown tank top. I puchased a dark yellow tank top and a lilac tank top from H&M last year, and I loved wearing those throughout spring and summer, so I wanted to add this brown one to my spring/summer wardrobe this year.

I’ve purchased two pairs of shoes. I’ve been wanting a pair of white heeled sandals since last summer, and I love this pair from H&M. I found the beige boots in the sale, and even though they’re very simple, they’re very flattering.

Besides the Lee denim bucket hat, I’ve also bought these three hats. I love the black pork pie hat; it’s just such a fun style. The beige wide brim hat is fun too, and the white bucket hat is super cute and summery.

Last, but not least, I got some more pastel coloured socks, because you can never have too many of those:)

Unusual lip

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This is a very unusual lip colour for me to wear, but I don’t hate it. However, I don’t like the lip as much as I like the eye look. I think the berry tones are so pretty.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Strobe Cream (shade: Pinklite), foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – MAC Radiant Matte bronzing powder (shade: Beige-ing Beauty), blusher – Essence The Blush in 70 Believing, highlighter – Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Princess Cut. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette (shades: Momentum + Cosmic) + BH Cosmetics Nice shadow palette (shades: Gingersnap + Brandy + Sprinkles), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – MAC Dual Powerprint eye pencil (shade: Short Fuse). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: NYX Slim lip pencil in Prune + MAC Glamour Of Punk lipstick)

Black suit

Here’s what I wore Thursday January 28. It’s not often that I wear this much black, but I love a suit inspired look, and I think this one is quite fun with the printed shirt with the sweater vest on top.

(Blazer + shirt + belt – second hand, sweater vest – Stradivarius, trousers – H&M, boots – Monki)

Love them together

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love a purple eye look, and I love a red lip, and I love them together.

Purple and red

Here’s what I wore Wednesday January 27. I’ve been wanting to style a purple and red outfit for quite a while, and I finally had all the pieces to put together this look. It might be a lot to some, but I absolutely love it!

(Bucket hat + boots – Asos, roll neck top – Stradivarius, shirt + trousers – Monki)
