Make-up for two outfits

During the day

Here’s what I wore Friday September 20 during the day. My dad was celebrating his birthday at a nice inn in the afternoon and evening, so I changed my outfit before dinner to something more dressy. I’ll be posting that look the day after tomorrow.

Beauty Bay haul (September 2024)

I have a Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. I picked up a bunch of cheek and lip products. Let’s begin with the cheek products.

I picked up one powder highlighter and two powder blush products. I thought the Glisten Cosmetics X Teletubbies Tubby Custard highlighter was such a pretty pink/blue shifty shade. I really like the NYX Buttermelt blushes, and I was excited to finally find the purple shade called 12 All The Butta in stock. And from Made By Mitchell I got the Mini Blursh Book in Atlas of Anatomy, which has some pretty interesting blush colours.

Speaking of Made By Mitchell, I bought two more shades of the Blursh Lights liquid highlighters; Ice Ice BB and Clear As Day. I really enjoy this liquid highlighter formula. I also got another shade of the Glisten Cosmetics Blooming Blushes. It’s a fun orange shade called Orange You Glad?.

Lastly, I purchased two lip products; the Maybelline Lifter Liner in the shade Peaking and the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Candy Cane. I featured the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in my December 5 favourites post.

Warm and rusty

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I don’t wear these kinds of warm, rusty shades very often, but I’ve found that they pair so well with an outfit in a neutral colour scheme.

(Base: primers – Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder (shade: Universal) + e.l.f. Skin Suntouchable! Whoa Glow SPF 30 sunscreen (shade: Sunbeam), foundation – Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin serum skin tint (shade: 2), concealers – Rare Beauty Positive Light under eye brightener (shade: Light) + Natasha Denona Hy-Glam concealer (shade: P1) + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powder – e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder in Light. Face make-up: bronzer – Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow bronzer in Fair, blush – MAC Glow Play blush in Plush Pepper, highlighter – Oden’s Eye Solmåne Moonlight Feel highlighter in H109 Light Glory. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 20 Cream + Lethal Cosmetics x Avatar: The Last Airbender “Fire” palette (shades: Imperial City + Fire Sages + Roku + Fire Lily + The Dancing Dragon), mascara – Rimmel Kind & Free mascara (shade: 02 Brown Black), eyeliner – Colourpop Crème gel liner in Honeydude. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: MAC Chicory lip pencil + Lethal Cosmetics Avatar The Last Airbender Mai lipstick)

Stunning neutral skirt

Here’s what I wore Wednesday September 18. You know I’m not a huge fan of neutrals, but this skirt is just so stunning, and for an outfit with a neutral colour scheme, I quite like it.

(Top + skirt – H&M, flower pin – Black Colour, shoes – Crocs)

Secret garden

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really wanted to play with the Bellabeautébar Secret Garden palette again, and I love how the look turned out. I just love a pink and green colour story.

(Base: primer – e.l.f Cosmetics Power Grip primer, foundation – Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop blurring skin tint (shade: 2), concealers – e.l.f. Cosmetics Putty Color-Correcting Eye Brightener (shade: Fair) + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + e.l.f. Fun kimono

Here’s what I wore Thursday September 12. I think I might have mentioned it before, but I’ve had this kimono in my wardrobe for many years, and every now and again I pull it out and wear it with an outfit. It just adds a little extra fun to a look.

(Kimono + T-shirt – H&M, trousers – Monki, sneakers – Nike)

More blue and red

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It hasn’t even been a week since I last posted a “blue eyes and red lips” make-up look, but what can I say, I really like this combo.

(Base: primer – e.l.f Cosmetics Power Grip primer, foundation – Rare Beauty Positive Light tinted moisturizer (shade: 14W), concealers – Rare Beauty Positive Light under eye brightener (shade: Light) + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powders – Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Brightening Flawless Finish powder (shade: Fair/Medium) + Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral. Face make-up: bronzer – Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Melting Bronzing & Contour Stick in Chocolate Mousse, blush – Huda Beauty Liquid Blush Filter in Watermelon Pop, highlighter – Colourpop Twilight Super Shock highlighter in Vampire Skin. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 20 Cream + Fantasy Cosmetica Cradled In Ice palette (shades: Glacial + Nest + Treasure + Frozen) + Colourpop Jelly Much shadow in Foiled Plans, mascaras – Rimmel Kind & Free mascara (shade: 02 Brown Black) + Kiko Milano Smart Colour mascara in 07 Navy Blue, eyeliner – Catrice Kohl Kajal waterproof in 150 Ultra Marine. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: MAC Redd lip pencil + Sephora Collection About That Shine lacquer shine lipstick in 09 Volcanic Lava)

Long trousers and short sleeves

Here’s what I wore Wednesday September 11. The weather had started to get a bit colder around this time, so I was back in long trousers. However, it was still warm enough to wear short sleeves.

(Hat – H&M, T-shirt – Monki, sweater vest – Asos Design, jeans – Topshop, sneakers – Nike)

Monolith “end of summer” sale haul (September 2024)

Monolith had an “end of summer” sale in September, so I purchased seven pretty palettes.

I own a lot of Ensley Reign Cosmetics palettes, but I didn’t have the Cosmic Dreamer palette neither the Twisted Tea Party palette. At first glance, these palettes might look like they have a lot of similarities, but they are actually quite different.

I love this long, skinny style of palette from Gourmande Girls Cosmetics, and the Haunted palette was missing from my collection, so I had to pick it up in the sale. This is actually the palette I ended up wearing on Halloween last year.

I’d been eyeing the Lunar Beauty Strawberry Dream palette for a while, and it really is such a pretty palette.

I’d never tried Sydney Grace eyeshadows before, so I decided to get the Tiny Marvels palette by Mel Thompson and the Heaven on Earth palette in the “Light” version. I really liked the looks I created with these palettes.

Lastly, I got the Get Stonned Stonned 10 pan palette, which is an all shimmer palette. The shades I’ve used so far are beautiful.
