Back-up, new, sample

dsc_1000dsc_1009

It’s been over year since I purchased my first MAC Pro Longwear concealer, I’ve used it almost every day since, and there’s still some product left. Not much product though, so I needed to buy a back-up, so I wouldn’t run out of it. I ordered it online, and I thought I would purchase my first MAC powder blush as well. I’ve heard so many good things about the powder blushers and I’m not disappointed in the shade I got. I decided to get Desert Rose which was on top of my MAC blusher wishlist. It’s described as soft reddish-burgundy and it has a matte finish. I thought it would be the perfect autumn/winter blusher and it really is. During the month of October you would get a free mascara sample with every online order, and it’s a sample of the Zoom Fast Black Lash. I’ve been using it quite a bit and I really like it. I’ll do a first impressions post on it within the next few weeks.

Here’s what I wore Thursday September 29. I actually haven’t worn my blue bomber in a while, but seeing these pictures makes me want to wear it again soon.

Small drugstore haul

dsc_1027

I thought I would show you a few products I bought at the drugstore a little while ago. I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I loved the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer, but sadly it has been discontinued, so I thought I would give the Rimmel Fix & Protect makeup primer a go. I like it, but I still think I prefer the Fix & Perfect one. The second product I bought was the Maybelline Master Strobing Stick in the shade 100 Light-Iridescent. I usually go for powder highlighters, but this cream stick version looked so pretty and convenient. I’m making a first impressions post on this product some time next week, so keep an eye on that if you want to know my thoughts about it. Lastly, I bought another Gosh Velvet Touch lipliner. I’m always on the hunt for good red lip liners, and this one looked very pretty. It’s in the shade 004 Simply Red.

Autumnal vibe

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love the autumnal vibe of this look; I think the greens on the eyes look great paired with the dark lip.

Bare ankles

Here’s what I wore Tuesday September 27. It’s strange to see my bare ankles in these pictures considered it’s 1 degree celsius outside right know, and it was about -3 degrees celsius earlier today. It’s been snowing lightly almost all day, so it’s beginning to feel more and more like Christmas.

New from e.l.f.

dsc_0981

I recently discovered some new additions to the e.l.f. display at my local supermarket, and I decided to try out a few things. The product I’ve been most impressed with is the Eye Refresh. It has a cooling sensation and it brightens and refreshes the eye area to help alleviate under eye puffiness and dark circles. It feels really good and I’ve noticed how it really does alleviate under eye puffiness, and I think it’s an awesome product to use on those days where you look extra tired. I was obviously drawn to the Illuminating Palette. I’ve only used it once or twice so far, so I haven’t formed a proper opinion about it yet, but I get the feeling that they’re quite subtle highlight powders, so maybe you could even use them to set concealer on the under eye area. The Blemish Control Face Primer is supposed to help control breakouts and blemishes while priming the skin, and I’ve actually used it quite a bit, and I like it so far. Lastly, I thought I would try out the Blending Brush, because I’ve had such good experiences with e.l.f. brushes in the past, and this is another good one.

Peachy champagne and hot pink

dsc_0810dsc_0811

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really like how the peachy champagne on my eyelids are almost wet looking, and a hot pink lip just always looks great in my opinion.

(Base: primer – L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation (shade: 51 Light Vanilla), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush palette (shade: Light 373), blusher – Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour blush (shade: 020 Pink Rose), highlighter – MAC Trip the Light Fantastic powder in Luna Luster. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows –Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: White Chocolate + Salted Caramel + Marzipan) + MAC Nylon eye shadow, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. Lips: MAC Talking Point lip pencil + MAC No Faux Pas lipstick)

More Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks

dsc_1017

I was so impressed with the first two Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks I bought that I had to get hold of some more shades. The bright yellow is called Queen Bee and is from the limited edition summer collection, the nude is called Celebrity Skin, the deep brown red is called Unicorn Blood, the dark mauve is called Androgyny, and the dusty green is called Dirty Money. These colours are gorgeous, and you’ll definitely see me wear these in future make-up posts.
