Gorgeous skirt and neutrals

Here’s what I wore Wednesday July 29. I really wanted to wear this gorgeous skirt again and thought it would be the perfect thing to wear at a family birthday party. I paired it with a neutral polka dotted T-shirt to add another print and a fun bag that I almost forgot I had.

Without flash

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. These pictures were taken without flash which is why it looks like I’m not wearing any highlighter (trust me, I am). I really like the bold colours of this look.

HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in Grand, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Double Gleam. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Jawbreaker palette (shades: Virgin + Lemon Drop) + MAC eyeshadows (shades: Lime + Nylon) + Fenty Beauty Snap Shadows Mix & Match eyeshadow palette in 7 Cadet (shade: Money Mission), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Screamin’). Monki summer sale haul

In the end of June I actually popped in to a physical Monki store (I usually shop online) and found the following items in their summer sale.

I’ve never been that into jumpsuits, but I really liked this navy one. I like the collar, sleeves and bottons and the fact that it ties at the waist. I also like the wide legs, and I’m really excited about styling this for autumn.

How cute is the matching floral set! I love botton up blouses and the fit of the skirt is perfect. It even has pockets! And the print is stunning of course.

I was a bit unsure about these wide leg flowy trousers, but I thought they would be great to just throw on on chilly summer days. I actually already own a botton up blouse/shirt in the same print, but the colours have faded on that one after being washed, so I won’t be wearing the two together.

This is just a cute little off shoulder crop top. Great for hot weather.

The last thing I purchased at Monki wasn’t in the sale, but I had been wanting a sunglasses chain and decided to get this simple silver one, and I’ve been using it ever since I bought it.

Outdoors

Here’s what I wore Thursday July 9. It’s not often that I get the chance to take pictures outdoors, but during my summer holiday I managed to take these pictures plus pictures of one more outfit.

Another try

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I tried out a couple of other shades from the Essence Bloom Baby, Bloom! eyeshadow palette. They’re slightly better than the other shades I’ve tried, but they are still not my favourite formula.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – Revolution Conceal & Define concealer (shade: C2), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + RCMA No-Color powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Physicians Formula Butter bronzer (shade: Light), blusher – Essence Matt Touch blush in 10 Peach Me Up!, highlighter – Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle highlighter duo (shade: Fire Crystal). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Thirsty palette (shades: Parched + Splash) + Essence Bloom Baby, Bloom! eyeshadow palette in 01 Poppy-ng Colours On Me! (shades: 1. shade 1. row + 2. shade 3. row) + Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette (shade: Enlight), mascaras – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara + L.A. Girl Volumatic mascara (shade: Turquoise), eyeliner – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Fresh). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Fruit Cocktail lip pencil + MAC Sugar Sweet Cameo lipstick)

Another cute travel outfit

Here’s what I wore Wednesday July 8. That day I went on my second trip/holiday of the summer, and the weather hadn’t gotten much better. In general, July wasn’t that warm and it was very windy. But anyways, I think this is a really cute outfit as well.

Are you filming?

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson Velour liquid lipstick in the shade Are You Filming? for the first time, and it was love at first sight. It’s such a beautiful shade of red.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + e.l.f. 16HR Camo concealer (shade: Fair Rose), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + RCMA No-Color powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Physicians Formula Butter bronzer (shade: Light), blushers – MAC Sugar Or Syrup powder blush, highlighter – Ofra Cosmetics x Nikkietutorials Glazed Donut highlighter. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Juvia’s Place The Magic Mini palette (shades: Kesi + Zuba + Osun) + Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette (shades: M.F.E.O. + Enlight), mascara – MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash mascara, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Seashell. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Are You Filming?)

Cute travel outfit

Here’s what I wore Monday June 29. That day I went on my first (out of two) trip/holiday of the summer, and sadly the weather was really bad for the rest of that week (I don’t have any more outfit pictures from that trip though), but at least I got to wear this cute outfit.

Jeffree Star Conspiracy collection + Cremated palette

DSC_1637

I don’t care about all the drama in the beauty community, I just care about great make-up, and Jeffree Star Cosmetics makes great make-up. I missed out on the Conspiracy collection when it released, but when it recently went back in stock, I purchased the two palettes and two lip products.

The two lip products I’ve bought are The Gloss in Shane Glossin’ which is a clear gloss and the Velour liquid lipstick in Are You Filming?. I haven’t tried the gloss yet, but I’ve already mentioned in my last 5 favourites post how much I love the liquid lipstick from this collection.

I collect Jeffree Star Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes, so I’m excited to add these two palettes to my collection. I really like the variety of colours in the Conspiracy palette, and I’ve been enjoying the looks, I’ve created with it. For the Mini Controversy palette I chose the newer Emerald edition, which has the shade Cry On My Couch swapped for the shade Put It Back!. I’ve only used this palette once, but so far so good.

Even though I tend to wear colourful eyeshadows more often than neutrals, I still had to add the Cremated palette to my collection. The packaging is stunning, and the one full eye look I’ve created with this palette was really pretty, so I’m excited to play around with this palette some more, especially in the autumn and winter time.
