Dr. Drake

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used the Revolution x Friends Joey palette again, because I’m so obsessed with the shimmery pink shade with a gold shift called Dr. Drake. I even wore a blush and a highlighter in similar shades to finish off the look.

Mainly drugstore

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. For once I wore a very neutral make-up look, and I have to say that I think this look is super pretty. I’m mainly wearing drugstore/affordable products, which just shows that you can create the prettiest make-up look without breaking the bank.

Not as warm

Here’s what I wore Tuesday June 1. The weather was not as warm as the previous day, but it was still warm enough for bare feet and sandals.

Collective Feelunique haul (late April)

It’s time for a collective Feelunique haul. I purchased these products in late April, so I’ve had them for a while, but that also means that I’ve had time to try them out.

Let’s start with some face products. I picked up one the Revlon Skin Lights Prismatic bronzers, another one of the Revlon Skin Lights Prismatic highlighters, and the Maybelline FaceStudio Chrome Extreme Intense Metallic highlighter in 200 Diamond. As you can see, the Maybelline highlighter came broken, so it’s a bit difficult to use, which is why, I haven’t used it much yet.

It’s another story with the Revlon Skin Lights Prismatic bronzer in 110 Sunlit Glow, because I’ve used that bronzer a lot. I really like the shade and finish of this bronzer; it looks beautiful on the skin. It’s one of my favourite products from this haul.

In this Feelunique haul, I featured one of the Revlon Skin Lights Prismatic highlighters, but the shade turned out to be too dark on me (shade 202 Twilight Gleam). So when I saw that the lighter shade 201 Daybreak Glimmer was in stock I decided to pick it up, and this one is the prettiest pale gold highlighter, and it works very well on my fair skin.

Moving on to a few more cheek products and a lip liner. I love NYX lip liners/pencils and the Slim lip pencils are classics. This is the shade Natural, and it’s such a good pinky nude lip liner. The two blushers are the Maybelline Dream Matte Blush Creamy Cheek Tints, which I hadn’t heard of before. I picked up the two shades that were available, 30 Coy Coral and 80 Burgundy Blush, and even though I haven’t played with them that much yet, I really like how my cheeks looked the days I wore them.

The last two cheek products I purchased were the bareMinerals Gen Nude Blonzers. I also decided to get the Urban Decay All Nighter face primer, which I’ve been enjoying a lot, and I also picked up a back-up of my favourite highlighter brush, the Morphe M510 pro round blender brush.

Here’s a better look at the bareMinerals Gen Nude Blonzers. I got the shades Kiss of Pink and Kiss of Copper. I wouldn’t say that these can replace actual bronzer. To me they are just blushers, but that’s not a bad thing, because they are very pretty.

I picked up two more primers as well. These are the NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting primer and the NYX Hydra Touch primer. I’ve only used the Hydra Touch primer once or twice so far, so I haven’t formed a proper opinion on it yet, but I’m really liking the Angel Veil primer. It’s a primer, I’ve been wanting to try for years, and I’m glad that I finally did.

And now on to some base products. I featured the L’Oreal Paris Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear foundation (shade: 015 Porcelain) in my August 5 favourites post, which obviously means that I love this product. And I do. It has quickly become one of my favourite foundations. I also picked up the Beauty Bakerie Flour setting powder in Oat (translucent), which I like as well. The Revlon PhotoReady Candi Antioxidant concealer (shade 010 Vanilla) is not a great shade match, so I probably won’t be keeping it for long.

The last three products in this haul are all back-ups. The Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation in 110 Porcelain and the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation in 100 Warm Ivory are my two favourite foundations, so I always have back-ups of those. And the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara has become one of my favourite mascaras, so I needed a back-up of that one too.

Avocado toast

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the BH Cosmetics Avocado Toast palette for the first time, and I was once again impressed by the BH Cosmetics eyeshadow formulas. I also absolutely love the lip colour, which is from the MAC Cruella collection.

Still summer somewhere

Here’s what I wore Monday May 31. It’s funny how the weather has been getting more autumnal in Denmark lately, and I’m just now getting around to posting my summery outfits. Oh well, it’s still summer somewhere in the world, right:)

Makeout break

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Of course, I had to match my make-up to my outfit and went for lilac and green on my eyes. I decided to pair the colourful eye look with a nude lip, which is actually called Makeout Break; how fitting for a date night;)

(Base: primers – Essence Prime+ Studio Poreless + Skin Blurring putty primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 05), powders – Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Lavender + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer in Butta Bisquit, blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in So Natural, highlighter – Essence Glow Like A Pro loose highlighter (04 Purple Scandal). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette (shades: Your Majesty + Deviant + Take The Crown) + Jeffree Star Mini Controversy palette – Emerald edition (shade: Put It Back!) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascaras – Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara + Soda #rainbowrave Unicorn Mascara in Fresh Grass, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Lavender Blush. First impressions: Essence Lash Princess mascaras

I’ve been trying out two Essence Lash Princess mascaras, the False Lash Effect and the Curl & Volume, so I thought I would combine my first impressions on both mascaras in one post.

Let’s start with the Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect mascara. I’ve already featured this one in a 5 favourites post, which obviously means that I like it. But here are some more details about this mascara.

It has a cone shaped bristle brush/wand which I love. It my lashes look long and voluminous, and I would definitely say that the mascara holds it’s claim of giving a false lash effect. I wore two coats on my top lashes, and I think my lashes look really good. I used a spooly to remove the mascara marks on my eyelids and underneath my eyes (there were very few though), and they was very easy to remove. I discovered very little transfer to the top of my eyelids (and only after many hours of wear), however, the older the formula gets the more it transfers (I’ve been wearing this mascara a lot since I wrote down my first impressions). I removed it with regular eye make-up remover which took a little bit of work, but nothing to bad and I don’t really care because it’s such a great mascara + it’s so affordable!

And now moving on to the Essence Lash Princess Curl & Volume mascara.

This mascara has an hourglass shaped bristle brush/wand, which is not my favourite type of mascara wand (because it’s thick at the end/tip). My lashes are naturally curled, so it’s difficult to say, if they look more curled with this mascara on (I don’t think they do). I wore two coats on my top lashes, and you need that second coat to get the volume that it claims to give, but then you definitely do get volume, and I do think my lashes look really good. I used a spooly to remove the mascara marks on my eyelids and underneath my eyes, and it was fairly easy. There was very little transfer to the top of my eyelids, though nothing major. I removed it with regular eye make-up remover, and it was fairly easy to remove (probably a little easier than the False Lash Effect mascara). My lashes looked good all day, and overall I really like this mascara, however, I think I prefer the False Lash Effect one a little bit more.
