Just so good

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Natasha Denona just does neutral eyeshadows so well.

Sephora Single’s Day sale haul + more sale

I have a rather large Sephora haul to share with you today. Most of the products were purchased in the Single’s Day sale where everything was 25% off, but I’m also including a few more sale items. Let’s start with palettes.

I purchased my first, and so far only, Pat McGrath eyeshadow palette in the Single’s Day sale. This is the Mothership VIII Artistry palette Divine Rose II eye palette, and it’s so pretty. However, it’s not a colour story I go for very often, so I’ve barely used it. I’m still glad to have it in my collection, and I will get use out of it eventually.

I also decided to get the Huda Beauty Rose Quartz eyeshadow palette in the sale, and this palette I’ve used a bit more. The metallics in this palette are just stunning.

I can’t believe that I was able to get the Natasha Denona Gold palette 50% off! Even though neutrals are not my go-to shades, I still think this is a stunning palette, and I really want to use again soon.

To be completely honest, I purchased the Coach x Sephora Collection Rexy palette because of the packaging, and also because it was 40% off. The colours are a bit boring, but the packaging is oh so cute.

The only base products I picked up were the Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop blurring skin tint in shade 2 and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer in shade 4. I’m still not sure how I feel about the skin tint, and I like the concealer a lot, but the shade is not perfect.

I picked up four lipsticks; two from NARS and two from Pat McGrath.

The two from NARS are the Claudette Collection Audacious Sheer Matte lipstick in Anaïs and the VIP Audacious lipstick in Barbara. Both of these are super pretty nude shades.

The two from Pat McGrath are the MatteTrance lipstick in Elson and the BlitzTrance lipstick in Blood Rush. Both of these are super pretty red shades, and just look at the packaging!

Last, but not least, I received several free gifts with my purchases. The first product I received was a mini NARS Orgasm blush. I’ve never owned this blush, so it’s fun to try such a classic.

I also received a Tarte mini set including a Timeless Smoothing primer, a Maracuja oil, and a Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 mascara. The only item I’ve used so far is the primer, and I quite like it.

This is one of the most insane free gifts I’ve ever received. This was the Singles box which included 15 products. They’re mostly minis, but it also included a full size Fenty Beauty Stunna lip paint in the shade Unveil.

Bad blending

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The complexion and the lip are super pretty, but I really don’t like the eye look. I used one of the e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Glitter eyeshadows, and it just didn’t blend well. Maybe it’s just this particular shade that’s the problem, because I’d tried another shade a while ago which worked just fine.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Poreless Putty primer, foundation – e.l.f. Cosmetics Camo CC Cream (shade: Fair 120N), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Revolution Eye Bright Illuminating Under Eye concealer in (shade: Porcelain), powders – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Etherial Light) + I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale setting powder Mulan. Face make-up: bronzer – NABLA Skin Bronzing in Ambra, blusher – I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale palette Mulan (shade: Journey of My Own), highlighter – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Incandescent Strobe). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale palette Mulan (shades: Emperor + Cri-Kee + The Matchmaker + Loyalty) + MAC Extra Dimension foil eyeshadow in Cooler Than Being Cool + e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Glitter eyeshadow in Ocean Eyes, mascaras – Essence Volume Booster lash primer + Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara, eyeliners – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Vivid) + Makeup Geek Full Spectrum eye liner pencil in Cobalt. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: MAC Boldly Bare lip pencil + NARS Claudette Collection Audacious Sheer Matte lipstick in Anaïs + I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale lip topper in Mulan)

Not quite matching

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The shades of red on my eyes and on my lips are not quite matching, but I don’t really mind, because all the shades still matches my jumper.

(Base: primer – NYX Plump Right Back serum & primer, foundation – L’Oreal Paris Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear foundation (shade: 015 Porcelain), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer (shade: 00 Ivory), powder – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose setting powder. Face make-up: bronzer – MAC Radiant Matte bronzing powder (shade: Beige-ing Beauty), blushers – Essence The Blush in 10 Befitting + Clinique Cheek Pop Pearl blush in 05 Ruby Pop, highlighter – NABLA Skin Glazing in Ozone. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + BH Cosmetics Miss Claus The Lit List palette (shades: Rosy + Wino + Naughty Girl + Bubbly + Frozen), mascara – Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara, eyeliner – Marc Jacobs Highliner Glam Glitter gel eye crayon in Glam Jam. Lips: Urban Decay Gwen Stefani 24/7 Glide On lip pencil in 714 + MAC Viva Glam I lipstick + I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale lip topper in Snow White)

Dark brown lip

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I hadn’t worn a really dark brown lip in a while, but there’s something I really like about it, and this particular lipstick is probably my favourite dark brown.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus The Impossible primer, foundation – L’Oreal Paris Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear foundation (shade: 015 Porcelain), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Nars Radiant Creamy concealer (shade: Vanilla), powders – Jeffree Star Cosmetics Magic Star setting powder in Lavender + Rimmel Kind & Free Healthy Look pressed powder in 01 Translucent. Face make-up: bronzer – The Balm Balm Desert bronzer/blush, blusher – MAC Mineralize blush in Humour Me, highlighter – Essence Glow Like A Pro loose highlighter (04 Purple Scandal). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Fenty Beauty Bomb Posse Mega Mix & Match eyeshadow palette (shades: Vanilla Cake + Bare Bunz + Get Thi$ Bread + Hot Chocolit) + MAC x L eyeshadow palette (shades: Popstarry + Louis), mascaras – Maybelline Colossal mascara + MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara, eyeliners – MAC Teddy eye kohl + Revolution x Bratz Yasmin eye pencil. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: MAC Chestnut lip pencil + MAC Digging It lipstick)

Beauty Bay haul (late October/early November)

I have a rather large collective Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. These are products that I purchased in late October/early November last year. Let’s begin with the products I purchased from By BEAUTY BAY.

I love the 20-pan palettes from By BEAUTY BAY and the Wilderness palette might be my favourite one so far. This colour story is so beautiful and inspiring, and I always enjoy using this palette.

I also picked up the 2021 holiday palette from By BEAUTY BAY, which was the Age Of Opulence palette. This is another stunning palette with a another great colour scheme.

I also decided to pick up the By BEAUTY BAY Jade Thirlwall x BEAUTY BAY 42 colour palette, and I’m very impressed by this palette. Really big palettes can be a bit overwhelming, but I’ve reached for this palette quite a bit.

Of course I had to get the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY Mini Palette Trio. These palettes include all matte shades which are based on colours from Alice In Wonderland (Cheshire Cat), Dumbo, and Jungle Book. I love the concept, and the colours are so pretty and unique.

Later on a second Disney Colour collection launched, so I also got the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY Palette Duo, which include another Alice in Wonderland palette (Mad Hatter) and a Bambi palette.

The last item I picked up from the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY collection (this time around) was the Lip & Cheek Duo in Mad Hatter Tongue. I really like both the blush and lipstick.

Let’s move on to a bit of BH Cosmetics. This is the Absinthe palette, and it’s such a good green palette. I’ve loved the looks, I’ve created with this.

I received the BH Cosmetics Opalescent palette as a free gift with purchase, and even though it’s mostly a neutral palette, I do think it’s very pretty.

The last item I got from BH Cosmetics is the BH Cosmetics X Doja Cat Flora Powder Blush Trio in Poppy. I really liked the unique blush shades in this particular palette. From Stila I got the Stila Treasure Island All-in-One Putty Trio. I’m not quite sure how I feel about this palette to be honest. It wasn’t my favourite at first try. And then I picked up another Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick, because I love that lipstick formula. This is in the shade Diet Mannequin.

Last, but not least, I purchased the Sigma Beauty Sigma Switch, which is a quick and easy brush cleaning tool, if you can call it that. You just swipe you dirty brush in the proper spot, and then you can use it a little while longer before properly cleaning it.

Extra glitter

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s not often that I use pressed glitters, but I thought it would be fun to add a little extra something to this date make-up look.

(Base: primer – Milk Makeup Hydro Grip primer, foundation – Catrice True Skin Hydrating foundation (shade: 004 Neutral Porcelain), concealers – e.l.f. 16HR Camo matte concealer (shades: Light Sand + Fair Warm), powders – MAC Studio Fix Sculpt And Shape contour palette Light/Medium (shade: Accentuate + Emphasize) + NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop mattifying powder in 01 Fair. Face make-up: contour/bronzer – MAC Studio Fix Sculpt And Shape contour palette Light/Medium (shade: Bone Beige) + Revlon SkinLights Prismatic bronzer in 110 Sunlit Glow, blusher – Soda #exploretheocean face palette in We Share The Earth (shade: Date Nights), highlighter – Soda #exploretheocean face palette in We Share The Earth (shades: Happy End + Wedding Dress). Eye make-up: bases – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly + NYX Glitter primer, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Soda #exploretheocean eyeshadow palette in Under The Sea (shades: Mermaid Tail + Underwater Palace + Aquata + King Triton) + Soda #exploretheocean face palette in We Share The Earth (shade: Wedding dress – inner corners + browbones), mascara – Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara, eyeliner – Marc Jacobs Highliner Glam Glitter gel eye crayon in (Gem)Stoned. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: MAC Boldly Bare lip pencil + NARS VIP Audacious lipstick in Barbara + Soda #exploretheocean shimmery lip gloss in 001 Precious Voice)

5 favourites – April

Am I the only one who thinks that 2022 is flying by so fast? I can’t believe that it’s the last day of April today, and that we’ll soon (hopefully) be heading into summer. The weather has been slightly warmer and more springlike these last couple of weeks, which is nice, but I’m so ready for warmer summery weather. But let’s talk about some favourites. Last month’s favourites post was make-up heavy and so is this month’s favourites as well (well, three out of five are beauty products), but I just love discovering great products. However, I also have a film and a TV series to share with you this month.

MAC Prep + Prime Lip: This is actually not a new discovery at all. I’ve loved this lip primer for a few years now, I think, and I thought it was about time that I would feature it in a favourites post. It’s the first step of my make-up routine, and I use it everytime I do my make-up.

L’Oréal True Match Nude Plumping Tinted Serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light): It took me a while to get into skin tints, but this is by far my favourite one. It has light coverage, but not too light, which I love, so this is great for days where my skin is looking a little better and I don’t feel like I need a whole lot of coverage. The texture, colour, and finish are great too.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder: This is one of the newest products in my collection, which means that I haven’t hauled it yet. However, I had to feature it in this favourites post, because I fell in love with this powder instantly. It has this super pretty, subtle glow to it, but it also keeps your skin looking fresh and not oily or shiny all day.

Death on the Nile (2022 film): I really like murder mystery type films, and I enjoyed watching Murder on the Orient Express (2017 film), but the “sequel” that just came out was even better in my opinion. I loved the 1930’s aesthetic and the Egyptian setting, and the murder mystery itself was really good. Great cast too. I seriously didn’t recognise Russell Brand as Linus Windlesham.

Moon Knight (TV series): And speaking of Egypt, my last favourite this month also partly takes place in Egypt. I love the Marvel series that release on Disney+. I especially enjoyed WandaVision, which I featured in a favourites post last year, and I think I enjoy Moon Knight just as much. It’s so different and interesting, and I’m really excited about the last episode which comes out next week.

Mini crush on Valentine’s Day

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used the limited edition Valentine’s Day palette from Natasha Denona called Mini Crush for my eye look, which was very appropriate, since I wore this make-up look on Valentine’s Day.

(Base: primers – Essence Catching Clouds Cloud-touch Mousse Primer in 01 Up On Cloud + I Heart Revolution x Elf collection primer, foundation – L’Oréal Paris True Match Nude plumping tinted serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light), concealers – Rimmel The Multi-Tasker concealer (shade: 020 Fair) + Revolution Eye Bright Illuminating Under Eye concealer in (shade: Porcelain), powder – Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral. Face make-up: bronzer – NABLA Skin Bronzing in Ambra, blusher – NABLA Skin Glazing in Lola, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Lunar Lights. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Natasha Denona Mini Crush palette (shades: Lotus + Soul + Koi + Claret + Daisy) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: NYX Suede Matte lip liner in Cannes + Essence lipstick (2021 advent calender))
