Same colours

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I loved the blue and brown colour combo of my outfit so much that I decided to use the same colours for my make-up look, and I think it turned out exactly how I imagined it.

Versatile palette

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This is the second eye look I created with the BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette, and as you can see it’s very different from the first look I created with the palette. It’s such a versatile palette, so stay tuned for more looks.

Rusty

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used the By Beauty Bay New Romantic palette for the second time, and I obviously went for the rusty shades to match my corduroy suit. I think those shades look great paired with the hot pink lip.

Another Beauty Bay haul (early March)

It’s time for another Beauty Bay haul. This one is full of items I received in early March.

Let’s start with another BH Cosmetics palette. I loved the Blueberry Muffin palette so much that I thought I would pick up another 16 pan palette from BH Cosmetics. This is the Lost In Los Angeles palette, and it’s such a pretty palette. It consists of mainly pastel shades, but it also has some brighter shades, and I’ve really enjoyed using it so far.

Jeffree Star released a Blood Sugar anniversary collection in late February I think, and the only thing I purchased from the collection was the Cavity Skin Frost highlighter palette. The first two shades, Icing IV and Candy Frost, are absolutely stunning; I wore Candy Frost last week, and it has the most stunning gold shift to it that doesn’t really show in the pan. Rose Cold and Frozen Prick will probably be too dark on me, but they sure are fun shades.

I also purchased another Supreme Gloss from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. This is a pretty nude in the shade House Tour.

Then I found a bunch of the Revolution x Friends lip products on sale, so I had to picked them up. I got the Chandler, Joey, and Monica lipglosses and the Rachel and Monica lipsticks. I have worn all of these products, and they were all pretty.

These lip products are from a limited edition Valentine’s Day collection from Wet n Wild. The lipgloss is the Valentine’s Mega Slicks lipgloss in the shade Crushed Grapes, and the lipstick is the Valentine’s Mega Last High-Shine lip color in Raining Rubies. I haven’t worn these yet, but I’m definitely going to wear them together.

The brand Soda was new to Beauty Bay when I purchased these items. It’s a very affordable brand, and so far I’ve liked most of their products. I’ve already mentioned the #wowbrow Flat Brow Liner in the shade Kim in my April 5 favourites, so obviously I love that product. I have not tried the #rainbowrave Unicorn Mascara in Fresh Grass yet. It’s a green mascara, so I’m waiting for the right look to wear it with. I purchased the #talkofthetown Lipstick in the shade Rock on!, and it’s such a great lipstick. I love the colour, the pigmentation, and the finish. The last product I picked up from Soda was the #babygethigher Pressed Highlighter in 102, which is a really pretty two-toned highlighter.

Most of the Soda products come with stickers, so this is what my products look like now (apart from the brow liner – the stickers didn’t want to stick to it).

Matte tricolour eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to play with make-up and create a different kind of eye look, and this matte look turned out quite fun. I used the same technique when I created this rainbow eye look.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain) or Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory) (forgot to add it when I posted this look), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + e.l.f. 16HR Camo matte concealer (shade: Fair Warm), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – Essence The Blush in 30 Breathtaking, highlighter – Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in 001 Universal (shade: Strobe White). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + By Beauty Bay Sunset Horizons palette (shades: Zest + Sorbet + Thunder) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – LA Girl Shockwave Neon Liner (shade: Screamin’). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Essence Stay 8h lipliner in 08 Passionate + Jeffree Star Supreme Gloss in Red Affair)

Simple and pretty

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It was my first time using the BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette, and even though this is not my favourite look I’ve done with the palette, it’s still a very pretty look.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 05), powders – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Ethereal Light) + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Essence Hello, Good Stuff! matte & glow bronzer in 10 Cocoa-Cool, blusher – Clinique Cheek Pop blush in 08 Melon Pop, highlighter – Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle highlighter duo (shade: Fire Crystal). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette (shades: Fluffy + Delish + Cravings + Sugared), mascaras – Essence Volume Booster lash primer + Fenty Beauty Full Frontal – Volume, Lift & Curl mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Fruit Cocktail lip pencil + MAC Sugar Sweet Cameo lipstick + Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in $weet Mouth)

First impressions: L’Oréal True Match Eye-Cream In A Concealer

It’s time for another first impressions post, and this time I’ve tested the L’Oréal True Match Eye-Cream In A Concealer, which I thought sounded very interesting and different.

As always, I’m wearing primer and foundation underneath the concealer, and I only tested this concealer on my undereye area. The concealer has a brush tip applicator, and you have to twist it for a little while before the product appears. I got the shade 1-2D Ivory Beige, which looked way to dark when I first applied it, but it didn’t look too bad once it was blended out (though it still looked a little dark). It’s a light coverage concealer, but it feels very nice and mosturising, however it didn’t cover up my dark circles completely. I did set my undereyes with powder, because I always do that, and the concealer looks smooth in the undereye area. I wore my make-up for about 8,5 hours and my undereye area looked pretty good at the end of the day. I think I’ve only used this concealer once after testing it, because the shade isn’t a great match, but also because the coverage isn’t great. However, I was thinking that maybe I should try to use the concealer together with a another concealer with more coverage (and a better shade) and use this one as a base layer to get the eye cream benefits. I think I might give that a try.

Shimmery and glossy

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You have probably noticed how much I love a monochromatic make-up look, and this shimmery, glossy red one is so pretty.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer (shade: 00 Ivory), powders – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Ethereal Light) + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Essence Hello, Good Stuff! matte & glow bronzer in 10 Cocoa-Cool, blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in Grand, highlighter – MAC Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio: Light (shade: Glitzed Out). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – BH Cosmetics Naughty shadow palette (shades: Meringue + Rudolph + Snow Day) + By Beauty Bay New Romantic palette (shade: Raspberry), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Redd lip pencil + Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick Ready to Care & Shine lip colour in 12 Corail Dolman)

Dark purple lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I hadn’t worn this dark of a purple lip in a while, but I think it looks great paired with the grey eye make-up.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Matte Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC Undercover Heroine powder blush, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Let It Glow. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Cremated palette (shades: Deathblow + Life Insurance + R.I.P. + Pallbearer + Diamond Ashes), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – MAC Technakohl liner in Sterling Silver. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Night Crawler lip pencil + MAC Witching Hour lipstick)

MAC Black Cherry

Once again MAC’s main spring collection is themed around cherry blossoms and to be honest I really don’t mind. I mean, just look how pretty the packaging is! As you can see, I purchased four products from the collection, so let’s talk about them.

For the last three years now MAC has included a cherry blossom scented Fix+ in their spring collections. Some people might find that boring, but I’ve purchased it every single year, because it’s my favourite Fix+ scent. I’ve used up the one from two years ago, and I’m using the one from last year now, so this one I’ll save as a back up.

If there’s a product that MAC should include more in their limited edition collections it’s blush. This is an Extra Dimension blush in the shade Look, Don’t Touch!, and it’s a beautiful coral pink shade.

Of course I purchased one of the classic bullet lipsticks from this collection. This is a matte lipstick in the shade Moody Bloom, and it’s a beautiful deep, classic red.

I also bought one of the new Glow Play Lip Balms. It’s in the shade Blossoms or Bust. MAC also released some permanent shades of these coloured lip balms.

When I made this order, I also received two free make-up brushes, which was so nice, since MAC brushes aren’t cheap. They’re both eye brushes and more specifically the 239S Eye Shader and the 219S Pencil.
