Bright colours

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love this look! I decided to go colourful to match my dress, and even though I’m wearing green eyeliner, blue mascara on my bottom lashes, and hot pink lips, I still find this make-up look quite wearable.

Golds and berries

Here’s the make-up I wore Tuesday April 26. I think golds and purple/berry shades always look beautiful together.

MAC Vibe Tribe

I finally got my hands on a couple of products from the MAC Vibe Tribe collection which is this years main summer collection. As you can see the packaging is super pretty, and so are the actual products.

Of course I had to get one of the lipsticks. I chose the brightest one (no surprise there) and it’s this beautiful orange-red shade called Painted Sunset. It’s an amplified finish, so it’s really creamy and pigmented. I wore it yesterday and it’s the perfect red lip for summer.

I also couldn’t resist the Gleamtones powder which is a new type of powder from MAC. It’s called Dunes At Dusk and it’s a gorgeous highlighter. I guess you could also use the four shades individually as eye shadows, but I’ve been wearing all four colours swirled together as a highlighter and I’m so happy that it’s light enough for my pale skin. You could obviously also wear the different shades individually as highlighters or mix two or three of them together. So many options. I love it!

Inspired to use colour

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The sweatshirt really inspires me to use colour in my make-up look. This time I went for hot pink and lime green yellow (or whatever you would call that colour).

First time using Naked 2

Here’s the make-up I wore Saturday April 16. I went to a summer/beach themed party and I didn’t have time to take pictures of my outfit, but I managed to snap a few pictures of my make-up. I wore shadows from my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for the first time that night, and I fell in love instantly.

(Base: primer – L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 HR Nude foundation (shade: 100 Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shades: Soft Light + Cream) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shade: Toffee) + Bourjois Délice de Poudre bronzing powder (shade: 51), blusher – I forgot to write it down, highlighter – the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette (shades: Foxy + Tease + Chopper + Snakebite + Bootycall) + the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 03 Strawberry Kissed)

First impressions: L’Oréal Cushion foundation

DSC_9386

I’ve been seeing cushion foundations everywhere online lately, so when I found the L’Oréal Nude Magique Cushion dewy glow foundation at the drugstore, I decided to give it a go. I’m going to give my first impressions of this product, and I don’t know if this will turn into a new series on my blog, but it might:)

DSC_9387DSC_9391

I’ve been wearing the foundation for the first time today, so these really are my first impressions. First off, I love the packaging. It’s so cute, but also quite handy to travel with, I reckon. The compact contains a little flat sponge, but I used my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge to apply the foundation. I don’t think I’ve ever applied my foundation as easy and quick as I did this morning which is a big plus. As the name suggests the foundation is indeed very dewy and glowy (in the picture beneath I’m only wearing a none-illuminating primer and the foundation). I’m wearing shade 1 Porcelain which is the lightest shade, and I think it matches my pale skin well. Right now as I’m writing I’ve been wearing the foundation for about 10,5 hours. I’m obviously wearing other products (powders) on top, but as far as I can tell, the foundation still looks fairly good, so I’m happy with this product so far. As I’ve already mentioned these are only my first impressions, but I’m looking forward to wear this foundation a few more times to see if those impressions stick.

Down the neutral road

DSC_9156DSC_9151

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Even though a black outfit gives you the perfect opportunity to play around with more colourful make-up, I decided to go down a more neutral road and I really like it.

(Eye make-up: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Créme De Rose 91, eye shadows – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shade: Soft Light) + the Balm Nude’tude eye shadow palette (shades: Sultry) + Wet n Wild Color Icon eye shadow palette in Comfort Zone (shades: definer 2. row down + browbone 1. row down) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Essence lipliner in 11 In the Nude + NYX Matte lipstick in Euro Trash)

Bluish-purple lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I decided to go light on the eyes and bold on the lips with this bluish-purple colour.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shades: Soft Light + Toffee + Ice Queen) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Rimmel Universal Transparent Lipliner in 001 Universal + NYX Liquid Suede Cream lipstick in Amethyst)

Bright and simple

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Bright and simple. These pictures really don’t do the eye shadow on my eyelids justice. It has both some silver, green, and purple-pink to it which is so pretty.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Zoeva En Taupe eye shadow palette (shades: Stitch By Stitch + Hour By Hour + Sheers & Voiles) + MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shade: Fade) + NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Warm Rose on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet lip pencil in 150 Fuchsia Desire)

MAC Brooke Candy

DSC_9267DSC_9271DSC_9277

There are so many awesome MAC collections launching this spring/summer, and here’s what I purchased from the Brooke Candy collection. I don’t really know anything about Brooke Candy, but that doesn’t matter to me as long as the products are nice. First of all the packaging is stunning. That mirrored silver with black and grey paint splatters is gorgeous. Obviously I went for lip products and as you can see I purchased two lipsticks and a lip pencil; all three in limited edition shades. Both lipsticks are matte. The Barbie pink lipstick is called Doo-Wop. I’m wearing it today, and it’s such a fun, bright pop of pink on the lips; perfect for spring and summer. The dark purple lipstick is called Witching Hour. It looked like such a cool colour, and I’m drawn to everything purple so I had to have it. I also got the dark purple lip pencil to go with it, and it’s called Night Crawler. I can’t wait to wear those two products together. They probably won’t be considered that spring/summer appropriate, but I’ll most likely wear them soon anyways.
