Sunset eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to try out the sunset eye trend, and I love how it looks! Orange and purple go so well together.

First impressions: L’Oréal Volume Million Lashes Fatale mascara

I’ve tested yet another mascara. This is the L’Oréal Volume Million Lashes Fatale mascara, and here are my first impressions on it.

First impressions

It has a plastic/rubber wand, and even though I prefer a bristle brush, I find this one easy to use. My lashes look long, black, and voluminous, and it holds the curl. It’s quite easy to remove from the skin with a dry cotton bud without ruining the eye shadow, and it’s easy to remove completely with regular make-up remover. It did transfer unto my eyelids throughout the day, but it wasn’t too bad. It’s still not close to being as good as my favourite mascara (Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express), but it’s not a bad mascara.

Purple ombré

Here’s the make-up I wore Tuesday February 6. I usually wear just one lip colour, but I thought this subtle ombré lip was a bit of fun.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Luminous + Smooth foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Benefit Hoola bronzer, blusher – MAC Mineralize blush in Modest Blush, highlighter – NYX Strobe Of Genius illuminating palette (shades: 7 + 3). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Zoeva En Taupe eye shadow palette (shades: Stitch By Stitch + Hour By Hour + Gallery + Wrapped in Silk + Sheers & Voiles + Spun Pearl), mascara – MAC In Extreme Dimension Lash mascara, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Eyebrows – e.l.f. Jeffree Star Love Sick Velour liquid lipsticks

DSC_4888DSC_4881

I’m always excited about new Jeffree Star Cosmetics collections, but the Love Sick collection has one of my favourite Velour liquid lipstick colour selections ever. I loved the colours so much that I had to buy all four shades. The shades are (from left to right): Romeo, Restraints, Problematic, and Self Control. My favourite one of bunch is Self Control; a beautiful lilac. I’ll be posting make-up looks featuring these lipsticks eventually.

Pretty products

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore a couple of super pretty products (eye shadow, blusher, and lipstick) that I hadn’t worn in a long time.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Luminous + Smooth foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + RCMA No-Color powder. First impressions: Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Indecent Black mascara

DSC_4669

The great mascara hunt continues. This Maybelline mascara actually has the name of my favourite mascara (The Falsies) in it, which made it sound promising. I put it to the test, and here are my first impressions.

First impressions Maybelline Push Up Drama

The brush/wand is very big and difficult to use, but my lashes look super long. The formula is very liquidy, and it’s difficult to remove from the skin without ruining the rest of my make-up (it’s practically impossible). It transfers onto the skin throughout the day, which, as I’ve mentioned before, is a huge problem for me. It’s easy to remove though, but all in all they’re too many cons for me to keep using this mascara, even though it initially looks really good.

Red and pink eye shadow

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m still loving pink and red eye shadows, and I hadn’t worn my MAC Faux lipstick in ages. I’d almost forgotten how nice it is.

(Base: primers – Benefit the POREfessional face primer + L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Luminous + Smooth foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + RCMA No-Color powder. Different though still neutral

DSC_4600DSC_4599

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I haven’t been taking a lot of make-up pictures in 2018 so far, because most days I wear the same neutral eye make-up with different lip colours to match my outfit. The day I took these pictures, I wore something a bit different though still neutral, but I really liked it.

(Base: primers – Benefit the POREfessional face primer + L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Luminous + Smooth foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Benefit Hoola bronzer, blusher – MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact Extra Dimension blush in At Dusk, highlighter – MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact Extra Dimension skinfinish in Tutu. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Stila In the Light eye shadow palette (shades: Bare + Bliss + Sunset + Bubbly) + MAC Nylon eye shadow, mascaras – Essence Volume Stylist 18h Lash Extension mascara + Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows – e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Calabasas)

First impressions: RCMA No-Color Powder

DSC_4220

I’d watched many youtubers talk about the RCMA No-Color Powder, so I thought I would see what the fuss is about. It definitely does not have any colour. It’s completely translucent and it feels very lightweight on the skin. It makes your skin look matte, but not dry which is great. I wore it for an entire day without touching up and my skin wasn’t particularly shiny at the end of the day, but if I were to go somewhere in the afternoon/evening I would do a light touch up. All in all, I really like this powder, but I don’t find it to be mind-blowing.

Favourite shade of purple

DSC_4232DSC_4227

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Purple has been my favourite colour for as long as I remember, and this lipstick is my favourite shade of purple.

(Base: primers – Benefit the POREfessional face primer + Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent).
