It’s time for another first impressions post, and this time I’ve tested the L’Oréal True Match Eye-Cream In A Concealer, which I thought sounded very interesting and different.
As always, I’m wearing primer and foundation underneath the concealer, and I only tested this concealer on my undereye area. The concealer has a brush tip applicator, and you have to twist it for a little while before the product appears. I got the shade 1-2D Ivory Beige, which looked way to dark when I first applied it, but it didn’t look too bad once it was blended out (though it still looked a little dark). It’s a light coverage concealer, but it feels very nice and mosturising, however it didn’t cover up my dark circles completely. I did set my undereyes with powder, because I always do that, and the concealer looks smooth in the undereye area. I wore my make-up for about 8,5 hours and my undereye area looked pretty good at the end of the day. I think I’ve only used this concealer once after testing it, because the shade isn’t a great match, but also because the coverage isn’t great. However, I was thinking that maybe I should try to use the concealer together with a another concealer with more coverage (and a better shade) and use this one as a base layer to get the eye cream benefits. I think I might give that a try.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You have probably noticed how much I love a monochromatic make-up look, and this shimmery, glossy red one is so pretty.

Once again MAC’s main spring collection is themed around cherry blossoms and to be honest I really don’t mind. I mean, just look how pretty the packaging is! As you can see, I purchased four products from the collection, so let’s talk about them.
For the last three years now MAC has included a cherry blossom scented Fix+ in their spring collections. Some people might find that boring, but I’ve purchased it every single year, because it’s my favourite Fix+ scent. I’ve used up the one from two years ago, and I’m using the one from last year now, so this one I’ll save as a back up.
If there’s a product that MAC should include more in their limited edition collections it’s blush. This is an Extra Dimension blush in the shade Look, Don’t Touch!, and it’s a beautiful coral pink shade.
Of course I purchased one of the classic bullet lipsticks from this collection. This is a matte lipstick in the shade Moody Bloom, and it’s a beautiful deep, classic red.
I also bought one of the new Glow Play Lip Balms. It’s in the shade Blossoms or Bust. MAC also released some permanent shades of these coloured lip balms.
When I made this order, I also received two free make-up brushes, which was so nice, since MAC brushes aren’t cheap. They’re both eye brushes and more specifically the 239S Eye Shader and the 219S Pencil.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I just couldn’t get my camera to focus on my eyeshadow properly, which is a shame, because this is such a pretty purple look.
(Base: primer – e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Essence Hello, Good Stuff! matte & glow bronzer in 10 Cocoa-Cool, blusher – Clinique Cheek Pop blush in 15 Pansy Pop, highlighter – Essence Glow Like A Pro loose highlighter (04 Purple Scandal). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – By Beauty Bay Book of Magic palette (shades: Vanish + Enchanted + Sorcery + Voodoo + Charmed + Moonlight), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Lavender Blush. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Heroine lip pencil + MAC Heroine lipstick)
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Of course, I had to match my make-up to my outfit. How good does that orange lipstick look!
(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer (shade: 00 Ivory), powders – Essence Brighten Up! Today’s haul is a collective Sephora haul. I made four online orders in February and March, and each order contained three items, so I thought I would put them all together in one haul.
The first order I made was two products from Fenty Beauty and my very first Natasha Denona product, but it’s not my last one, which you’ll see later on in this haul (and I also showed a sneak peek of my growing Natasha Denona collection in my April 5 favourites post).
I’ve been wanting to try the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer for a long time, so I finally decided to get it. I picked up the shade Butta Biscuit, which is such a nice shade. I still need to get the hang of using cream bronzers, but so far I really like this product.
The other Fenty Beauty product I purchased with this first order was another Snap Shadows Mix & Match palette. This is number 9 Wine. I know that there are mixed feelings about these little palettes, but I personally really like them. I think the quality is very nice, and they’re great for travelling.
The reason I made this order is this little beauty; the Natasha Denona Mini Retro palette. It’s just so pretty, and I love the formula of the shadows. It started what became an obsession with Natasha Denona products.
The next order I made was also products from Fenty Beauty and Natasha Denona.
The Fenty Beauty product I purchased this time was the Pro Filt´r Instant Retouch setting powder in the shade Butter, and I decided to get the mini size to try it out. It’s actually a very decent size for a mini, and I really like this powder.
Then I bought another Natasha Denona palette. This is the Eyeshadow Palette 5 in number 10, and I haven’t really heard many people talk about these bigger 5 pan palettes, but I got this 40% off, and I loved the colours in this palette. I haven’t gotten around to try this one yet, but I can only imagine that it’s beautiful on the eyes.
The last product from my second order is the Natasha Denona Chromium liquid eyeshadow in Dogbane, which was also 40% off. It’s a really fun multichrome liquid eyeshadow. I’ve tried it once, and the look wasn’t my favourite, so I have to try it again.
Okay, moving on to my third order, and guess what, I purchased more products from Natasha Denona, but this time I also got something from Huda Beauty, so let’s start there.
I got the Huda Beauty Pastels Obsessions palette in Rose. This is a very light palette, and three out of four shimmers are not super opaque; they’re more like topper shades. They are still very pretty though. The light yellow shimmer has more pigment to it, and it’s definitely my favourite shade in the palette. I like the matte yellow shade as well. It’s funny that my favourite shades in a rose palette are the yellows.
Another Natasha Denona product I don’t hear many people mention is the Blush Duo. This was also 40% so I thought I would give it a try. I think I’ve only worn it once so far, so I haven’t formed a proper opinion about it yet. I got 19 Strawberry Cheeks which contains the shades #02 Toutou and #15 Strawberry Cheeks.
And the last product from my third order is the Natasha Denona Mark Your Liquid Lips matte liquid lipstick in the shade 25 Louise, and it was also 40% off (Sephora had a lot of ND products that were 40% off for a while there). I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s a beautiful purpley colour.
And now on to the fourth and final order, which is also one of the most exciting ones, because I got a bigger Natasha Denona palette this time around. But let’s talk about the other two products first.
Firstly, I purchased another Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream blush, because it was 20% off. It’s in the shade Strawberry Drip, and it’s such a fun, bright shade that I can’t wait to wear.
Since Becca Cosmetics is going out of business later on this year (and it was 20% off too), I thought it was a good reason to purchase another Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighter. I chose the shade Moonstone, and it’s so pretty.
I might have saved the best for last; the Natasha Denona Love palette. What a stunner! This palette contains the prettiest pinks and purples, and I’m so excited to create a ton of stunning looks with this.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m in love with this metallic, smokey blue eye look. It was a very simple and easy look to do, but it’s so pretty.
(Base: primer – Essence Glow Like A Pro mattifying bamboo primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + RCMA No-Color powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Milani Silky Matte Bronzing powder in Sun Light, blusher – MAC Desert Rose powder blush, highlighter – MAC Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio: Light (shade: Glitzed Out). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Blue Blood palette (shades: Wealthy + Power) + By Beauty Bay Book of Magic palette (shades: Jinx + Moonlight), mascaras – Essence Volume Booster lash primer + Fenty Beauty Full Frontal – Volume, Lift & Curl mascara, eyeliner – Marc Jacobs Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon (shade: Steel(etto)). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Essence Mini Lipstick in 01 Feel The Magic!)
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. A neutral look with a splash of lilac.
(Base: primer – e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in So Natural, highlighter – Ofra Cosmetics x Nikkietutorials Glazed Donut highlighter. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Revolution x Friends Open The Door shadow palette (shades: Whiskerson + Mac & Cheese + Dr Drake Ramoray) + Juvia’s Place The Magic Mini palette (shade: Faso) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – NYX Slim eye pencil in Lavender Shimmer. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour lip liner in Leo + MAC Tendercotta lipstick)
I have quite a few Beauty Bay hauls to share with you; this one is from from the beginning of February (I know, I’m way behind).
Let’s start with palettes.
I featured the BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette in my 5 favourites post from March, and I still love it. The blues mixed with neutrals just work so well, and the quality of these shades is amazing. BH Cosmetics is doing something right.
I purchased the By Beauty Bay New Romantic palette right when it launched (I guess it was around Valentine’s Day). I don’t have a lot of predominantly pink/red palettes, so I thought I would give this one a go, and I knew that I liked the By Beauty Bay eyeshadow formula from the Book of Magic palette. And I got the By Beauty Bay Sunset Horizons palette as a free gift with purchase, and it’s a beautiful palette as well.
Then I also purchased some face products and some primers. I purchased the very popular NYX The Marshmellow Primer, and I have to say that I really like this primer. I see why it’s so popular. I also purchased the NYX Glitter Primer for eyeshadow, because I’ve been wanting a primer/base for very glittery shadows to stick to, and so far I really like this product as well.
The blush, I bought, is the MUA Makeup Academy Blushed matte blush powder in the shade Papaya Whip. The true colour doesn’t really show in these pictures; it’s more of a warm orangey peach colour, which is why I bought it. I also bought it, because when I lived in England 7 years ago, I used to shop MUA Makeup Academy all the time, so I got a bit nostalgic.
As I wrote here, I’ve been on the hunt for undereye setting powders, and I came across the Revolution Eye Bright setting powder and thought it sounded promissing, and so far I do like it.
Last, but not least, I purchased two Jeffree Star lipglosses. The The Gloss in the shade Sickening came out with the collection that contained the Blood Lust palette, and it was on sale. And when JS launched his Supreme Gloss, I initially thought I would skip them, but then I caved and got the shade Red Affair, and I’m so glad I did, because it is the most stunning, pigmented red gloss!
