5 favourites – March

March has come to an end, and what an eventful month it was! We moved to a new apartment in a new town in the very beginning of the month (moving is always a little stressful) and last Sunday we celebrated our daughter’s christening; it was such a lovely day. Now, I’m looking forward to a more calm April. We’re going to spend time with my family celebrating Easter, and we’re also going to unpack some more boxes, which will be nice. But first, let’s talk about some March favourites.

Iconic London Underglow blurring primer: I’ve been wanting to try this primer ever since I first saw it, but it kept being sold out everywhere, so when I finally found it in stock and on sale, I ordered it right away. It has a pretty unique texture, but I kind of like it, and I love the subtle glow that it gives the skin.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Star Shadow in Nude Honeymoon: I featured this liquid eyeshadow in a recent haul, even though I’ve had it for a little while. It has been my go-to eyeshadow on days where I don’t have that much time to do my make-up. It looks great blended out all over the lid with sparkly eyeshadows on top such as my next favourite.

R.E.M. Beauty Midnight Shadows liquid eyeshadows: I have a R.E.M. Beauty haul coming up, so you haven’t seen these eyeshadows on my blog yet. These liquid eyeshadows are so shimmery, shiny, and pretty; I’m especially loving the shade on the left called Fembot. I’m wearing it on top of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Star Shadow in Nude Honeymoon here.

Beauté Pacifique Enriched Hydrating hand cream: My hands were super dry in the beginning of the month, and this hand cream saved them. It’s not too thick and not too thin, and it sinks into the skin quickly, and it just works.

New make-up storage setup: Before I moved I picked up another set of Alex 9-drawers from Ikea to accommodate my growing make-up collection, and I love this new setup. My make-up table/vanity is to the left next to the plant and right in front of a big window, and it’s the best lighting for make-up I’ve ever had. I just love my new make-up corner!

Beauty Bay haul (January 2023)

I have a collective Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. I made two orders from Beauty Bay in January and thought I would combine them into one haul.

I had to pick up the By BEAUTY BAY Berries 42 colour palette to complete my collection (I have the Midnight and Earthy 42 colour palettes, which I love). It’s a beautiful palette, and I created a look with it here.

I have more By BEAUTY BAY palettes to show you. This is this year’s Valentine’s Day release. It’s called the Retro Love palette, and I think the colour story is very interesting.

The BEAUTY BAY Pastels pressed pigment palette has been on my wishlist for quite a while, and I’m really glad that I finally have it in my collection. I’ve already used it several times; it’s the perfect companion palette.

The By BEAUTY BAY Youtopia pressed pigment palette is the Pastels palette’s brighter younger sister. I haven’t used this one yet, but I’m sure it’ll be a great companion palette as well.

I haven’t tried NABLA eyeshadows before, but there’s something very aesthetically pleasing about the Read My Mind palette, and I’m so excited to try it out.

The last eye product in this haul is the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Star Shadow in Nude Honeymoon. I already had some other shades of these liquid eyeshadows, so I knew I liked the formula, but this particular shade has been my go-to on days where I need to do a quicker make-up look.

I featured the Sigma Beauty Matte Bronzer in Light in my February favourites post, and I’ve continued to love it and use it. It’s just such a stunning matte powder bronzer.

Too Faced has come out with new Cloud Crush blushes, and I decided to pick up the shade Watermelon Rain, which is a beautiful watermelon pink shade.

Here’s a few things from e.l.f. Cosmetics. I got two of the Glossy lip stains, and they’re in the shades Cinnamon Dreamz and Power Mauves. I also purchased the Monochromatic Multi-Stick in Glistening Peach.

Lastly, I decided to try out one of those pointed powder puffs and picked up a 2 pc of the e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo glow powder puffs. I also featured these in my February favourites which speaks for itself.

First ever Colourpop haul

I’ve been wanting to try Colourpop’s products for years, and the big sale in the beginning of the year convinced me to make a couple of orders which ended up being this huge collective haul. I haven’t worn nearly all of these products yet, but I’ve been quite impressed by the ones I have tried so far. Let’s just get into it.

Let’s get the Christmas collection out of the way first. I picked up the entire Disney The Muppets holiday collection, which included the Holidays! Holidays! Holidays! shadow palette, four Super Shock shadows, four Glowing Lips, and a Glitter Gel.

I love the colour story of this palette, and I love how it represents the different characters. I’m probably the most excited to play with the Kermit and Miss Piggy columns.

The Super Shock shadows are absolutely adorable! They’re in the shades (row by row): Yaaaay!, Holiday Hostess, Beat Drums!, and Wocka Wocka.

I’ve already worn three out of the four Glowing Lips, and I love the formula. The shades are called Picture Of Joy, Kissy Kissy, Chill!, Chill!, Chill!, and Warm Up Guy.

The Glitterally Obsessed Glitter Gel is in the shade It’s Moi, and it looks like a very pretty, iridescent/holographic glitter.

I also purchased the entire High School Musical collection. I loved HSM as a teen. This collection included the East High shadow palette, three Crème gel liners, three pressed powder blushes, and three Just A Tint lip tints.

The East High shadow palette is so cute. The colours are pretty, and the names are great.

I really like the Crème gel liners. These are in the shades Exit, Spring Musical, and In This Together.

These pressed powder blushes are so nice. I love the shades and the formula. They’re in the shades Playoffs, Freaky Genius Girl, and Wildcats.

I’m enjoying the Just A Tint lip tints as well. They’re in the shades Chello, Pop and Lock, and Status Quo.

Moving on to two Hocus Pocus collabs. The Witching Hour shadow palette is from an older Hocus Pocus collab, whereas the All Hallows Eve shadow palette, the Jelly Much shadows, and the BFF mascara is from the most recent Hocus Pocus 2 collection.

This is what the Hocus Pocus Witching Hour shadow palette looks like. I think this palette is very well thought out; it has a neutral row, and then a row of shimmers and a row of corresponding mattes.

I wore the All Hollows Eve shadow palette here, and it was my favourite make-up look from the month of January. I also love how this palette is colour organised in columns.

I purchased the three Jelly Much shadows and the BFF mascara as a set. The Jelly Much shadows are called I Am Calm!, Come To Play, and Shish-ka-Baby, and the mascara is in the shade Butcherson.

How cute is this the packaging on the Lizzie McGuire products! I picked up the What Dreams Are Made Of shadow palette and the two pressed powder blushes.

The colour story of the What Dreams Are Made Of shadow palette is so pretty and perfect for spring.

I also love these pink, shimmery blushes in the shades Dee-Lish! and You Are Magnifico.

I think this is an older palette, but I just love Disney so I also had to have the Disney Designer Midnight Masquerade shadow palette.

From the same collection I picked up the Lux liquid lip in Wonderboy, because Hercules is my favourite Disney film.

The last Disney product I purchased was The Nightmare Before Christmas Crème Lux lipstick in Sally. I would have loved to have had more pieces from that collection, but it’s an older one, and this was the only product left. It’s very cute though. And sticking with collabs though non-Disney ones, I picked up the Barbie Lux lipstick kit in Malibu Sunset, which comes with a Lippie pencil and Créme Lux lipstick.

More blushes! I picked up both pressed powder blushes from the Powerpuff Girls collection. They’re in the shades Fighting Crime and Saving The World.

This palette is actually what made me check out Colourpop’s website. It’s the Winx Just Like Magix palette, and I mean, just look at those shades! It’s a colour lovers dream. This is also one of the few products that wasn’t a part of the sale, since it was brand new at the time.

The main reason why I made multiple orders within a few weeks is because the Avatar: The Last Airbender shadow palette came back in stock. I really enjoy this show, and this is one of the collections from Colourpop that I’ve been wanting the most. I was also lucky enough to get my hands on the Fresh Kiss lip stain in Fanatic, the Super Shock highlighter in Got Glow, and the Fourth Ray Beauty Avatar: The Last Airbender Jasmine Tea lip mask.

I obviously love the packaging of this entire collection, but I’m a bit sad that the actual palette doesn’t have the same picture as the sleeve. However, it’s a beautiful palette; the four elements are incorporated so well into this palette.

The other Super Shock highlighter in this collection would have been a better shade for me, but I’m just so excited about getting my hands on one of them. The Fresh Kiss lip stain looks super pretty, and I love the Jasmine Tea lip mask; I use it every night before I go to bed.

This What A Bombshell 5 pan palette set was made in collaboration with Jasmine Chiswell. I’ve only used the Hello, Hollywood one so far, but it was so nice. They’re great little travel palettes or companion palettes.

This collection is so fun and summery (I’m pretty sure it came out last summer). I picked up the In The Springs shadow palette, the Super Shock highlighter in Flip Flop, and the Glowing Lip in Desert Aura.

A closer look at the three products; so pretty!

Here’s a couple of cheek products: the Sol Body cream bronzer in Light and the Just A Flush face palette. I’ve already used the face palette several times; it’s a great multitasking palette.

The last products I purchased this time around are five Super Shock blushes. The only shade that wasn’t a part of the sale was Chiffon (first shade in the top row). Jump Turn, Marguerite, Just Playin’, and Digital Baddie were on sale. Just Playin’ and Digital Baddie are from the Mariale collaboration.

These very last products were free gifts. The pressed powder shadow is in the shade Lovely Bunch, and the Lippie pencil is in the shade BFF.

Wow, we made it through the biggest haul I’ve probably ever posted:)

Collective haul – clothes and beauty (January 2023)

I have a collective clothes and beauty haul to share with you today. I purchased all of these items in January. Let’s begin with clothes.

You have already seen my wear all five pieces of clothing. They’re all from H&M, and I’m loving both of these tops. I just had to have the pastel rainbow cardigan for obvious reasons, and I thought the grey sweatshirt with the lipstick print and cute saying was perfect for me.

I love a pair of wide leg jeans, and I love a good print, so I’m enjoying wearing these three pairs of jeans.

Before we move on to beauty, I also picked up this little keyring lipstick holder from H&M to have on my everyday bag.

And now let’s talk about some make-up. I love all the Powder Kiss formulas from MAC, so I picked up one of the Powder Kiss liquid lipcolours in the shade Good Jeans, which is a fun denim blue, and two of the Powder Kiss Velvet Blur Slim Sticks in Rose Mary and Hot Paprika. I’m wearing Hot Paprika here.

I featured the NYX Born To Glow naturally radiant foundation in my February favourites, so I obviously love this foundation. I got the shade Porcelain, which is a great shade match on me.

I’m very intrigued by the Sephora Collection DO NOT DRINK perfumes, because of the interesting scent combinations. This one is the Spicy Blend Jasmine + Pink Pepper eau de parfum, and I’m excited to try it.

Here’s a little collection of products I picked up at the same time. I purchased the Clarins Water lip stain in 04 Violet Water, the Missha M Perfect Cover B.B Cream Spf 42 in 21 Light Beige, and the Pixi + Hello Kitty makeup fixing mist in a sale. The only product I’ve tried so far is the Missha M Perfect Cover B.B Cream, and I quite liked it.

The last two products in this haul are the Bobbi Brown highlighting powder in Pink Glow and the KVD Beauty Moongarden eyeshadow palette. I got both of these products 20% off.

I’ve had this Bobbi Brown highlighter on my wishlist for a while, and I thought I would pick up a mini to try it out.

The packaging of this KVD Beauty palette is stunning, and so is the colour story. I’m really excited to try out the formula of these shadows.

5 favourites – February

The last month of winter has come to an end, and I spent the month getting ready to move. Actually, we get the keys to our new apartment today, and I’m so excited for my little family to start a new chapter in our lives. So March is going to be very eventful, and I have lots to look forward to. But first, let’s talk favourites from the month of February, and all five favourites are beauty related this month. I’ve packed most of my make-up a week and a half ago, but kept a selection to wear until I get to unpack my make-up at the new apartment, and all of the products in this 5 favourites post are a part of that selection.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Jelly Pop dew primer: I’ve really been enjoying this primer lately. It’s similar to the Power Grip primer, but it’s a little less sticky and it also smells like watermelon. I also like that it’s a mini, so it’s very travel friendly.

NYX Born To Glow naturally radiant foundation (shade: Porcelain): I’ve purchased a lot of foundations lately (though I haven’t hauled them yet), and of the once I’ve tried so far, this one is my favourite. It’s not a new product on the market, but I’ve been wanting to try it for a while, and I’m not disappointed. It’s just the kind of foundation I’m into at the moment.

Sigma Beauty Matte Bronzer (shade: Light): I’ve been really into cream bronzer for quite some time, so it’s been a while since I’ve loved a matte powder bronzer, but this one is just so good. The shade is great on me, and it blends beautifully on the skin.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow powder puff: I never thought that I would like a powder puff, but after trying one of these triangular ones, I get the hype.

Fourth Ray Beauty Avatar: The Last Airbender Jasmine Tea lip mask: I have a huge Colourpop haul coming up (my first one ever!), and the only product I got from their skincare line, Fourth Ray Beauty, was this lip mask. I got it because it’s from the Avatar: The Last Airbender collection (I really like that show), but it’s actually really nice. It smells lovely, and it sinks into my lips overnight and leaves them really soft.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Psychedelic Circus collection

It was about time that Jeffree Star Cosmetics launched another colourful collection, and the Psychedelic Circus collection is just that. I picked up the palette, three Liquid Star eyeshadows, and two Velour liquid lipsticks.

Here’s a closer look at the palette. It’s a very matte heavy palette, which is a bit of a shame in my opinion, since I love shimmers so much, however, most of the mattes are very colourful shades. The few shimmers/metallics which are in the palette are very pretty as well.

I really like the Liquid Star eyeshadows, so I purchased the following three shades: Diva Galaxy, Another Realm, and Groovy Dreams. Diva Galaxy and Another Realm are beautiful shimmers, and Groovy Dreams is a lovely matte shade.

It’s been quite a while since JS Cosmetics launched fun, colourful Velour liquid lipsticks, but this collection had a bunch of them. I got Mindbender and Mushroom Ocean, which are both fun metallics.

MAC X Whitney Houston collection

In December, MAC launched their Whitney Houston collection, and I love Whitney Houston’s voice and music, so I obviously picked up quite a few of the products.

I collect limited edition bullet lipsticks and compacts from MAC, so I had to have the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in the shade Just Whitney. I love that it looks like a disco ball and has Whitney Houston’s signature on it. It’s a gold shade, and it looks a little dark, but I could actually make it work on my fair skin.

MAC doesn’t include their classic powder blushes in limited edition collections very often anymore, so I’m always excited when they do. These are called Nippy’s Pink Rose and Nippy’s Plum Rose, and they’re both matte and very pretty.

The last two products I picked up from the collection (this time around) were of course two lipsticks. I got the shades in Nippy’s Feisty Red and Nippy’s Sensual Red. What can I say, I love a red lipstick:)

This last lipstick is obviously not a part of the Whitney Houston collection. It’s from the 2022 holiday collection Bubbles & Bows, and it’s the Lustreglass Sheer-Shine lipstick in I’ve Been Naughty!. I got it as a free gift with purchase, and it’s such a pretty nude. I’m wearing it here.

Beauty Bay haul (December 2022)

I have a Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. It’s a slightly smaller Beauty Bay haul, but I’m really excited about these products.

Firstly, I picked up the Sigma Beauty x Disney Alice in Wonderland eyeshadow palette and cheek duo. I’m becoming quite fond of Sigma Beauty’s products, so I really wanted to try these products from the Alice in Wonderland collection. I wore both products here, and they performed beautifully.

I’ve already featured the e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter in a 5 favourites post, and it really is as good as people say. I got mine in the shade 1 Fair.

From e.l.f. Cosmetics I also purchased the Jelly Pop Juicy Melon Glow Set which includes the Jelly Pop dew primer and the Jelly Pop glow stick. I like the primer so far, and I’ve only worn the glow stick once, but it was nice as well.

The Made By Mitchell Blursh Press’d blushers have some of the ugliest packaging that I’ve ever seen. They’re so big and bulky too. However, they come in so many pretty and fun shades, so I had to pick up the following three shades; All Riped up (the orange), Sun Trap (the yellow), and For The Lovers (the purple). I haven’t worn the yellow one yet, but I liked the other two and especially the purple one.

Lastly, I bought the Made By Mitchell Blursh Bronzed liquid bronzer in Hollo There and the Made By Mitchell Blursh Lights liquid highlighter in Candy Trip. I hadn’t tried his liquid bronzers before, but so far I’m quite impressed by the quality, blendability, and shade. I knew I loved the liquid highlighters, and this pink shade is a nice addition to my collection.

Oden’s Eye Black Friday haul

Oden’s Eye is one of my favourite brand discoveries from 2022, and they had one of the best Black Friday sales. Most products were 30% or 40% off, so I picked up three eyeshadow palettes and a lip stain.

The first palette I picked up is the Cat’s Breath palette from the Saga of Freja collection. I love this colour story (the next make-up look I’ll be posting features this palette), and I’m pretty impressed by the quality.

I also bought the Norn’s eyeshadow palette. I haven’t used this one yet, but I think it’s a very interesting colour story, and I’m especially excited about trying the last row of shimmers.

The last palette I got is the Alva II eyeshadow palette, which I wore here. I’m very inspired by this colour story as well, and I was really happy with the look I created with it.

I haven’t tried any lip products from Oden’s Eye, so I thought I would try the Alva cream lip stain. I picked up the shade A103 Sweet Tulip, which is a rusty orangy red.

Collective beauty haul – including Black Friday (November)

I have a collective beauty haul to share with you today. Some of the items were purchased in Black Friday sales. But first, let’s begin with some Natasha Denona.

I love Natasha Denona eyeshadows, and I really like the Mini Retro palette, so I was pretty excited about the Retro Glam palette launch. Of all the ND palettes I think this one might have the prettiest packaging. I think the colour story is super pretty too, and I used the palette to create this eye look.

I purchased the eyeshadow palette and the cheek trio from the Natasha Denona My Dream collection when the collection launched, but I’ve heard so many great things about the lip products from the collection as well, so I picked up the I Need a Nude lip crayon in NP1 Natasha and the I Need A Nude lipstick in 11NB Natasha.

I also picked up a few more lipsticks. I’ve been wanting the Rare Beauty Kind Words matte lipstick in Bold ever since the release of this lipstick line, but this particular shade kept being sold out, so when it finally came back in stock, I didn’t hesitate to buy it.

I got both of these Pat McGrath Labs X Bridgerton SatinAllure lipsticks on sale. They’re in the shades Infatuation and Négligée, and I just thought the packaging was so cute.

I was very lucky to get a bunch of free gifts with my Sephora purchases among others some single Natasha Denona shadows as samples from her most recent palettes, a full size Beauty Blender, and a bunch of other samples.

Let’s move on to MAC. I picked up the MAC Pro Eye Palette: The Bad Girl, which includes 6 cream eyeshadows in blue and green shades. I hadn’t heard anything about this product before, but I loved the colours, and I’ve been really into cream eyeshadows, so I thought I would try them out. I also purchased the MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 foundation in NC15.

I also got the Cleanse Off Oil, which had leaked a lot, but I never got around to sending it back, so I just cleaned it off and kept it. This is a great product for removing matte liquid lipsticks.

And as a free gift with purchase, I received the MAC Superstar Kits Lashes to Lips Kit which comes with a Prep+Prime lip, a MAC M·A·CStack mascara, and a lipstick in the classic shade Velvet Teddy. These are all three products I enjoy.

Here’s a random little limited edition holiday set I picked up from Kiko Milano. It’s called the Joyful Holiday Magic Icons Makeup Kit and includes an eyeshadow quad and a lipstick. These are my first Kiko Milano products.

These are the last four products in this haul. I picked up another Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink, because I love this lipstick formula. It’s in the shade 45 Capricious. From Smashbox x Becca I got the Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighter in Rose Quartz and the Under Eye Brightening Corrector in Fair/Light, and I love both products. And from KVD Beauty I purchased the last Dazzle Stick long-wear eyeshadow that I missed from my collection. It’s in the shade Lightning Strike.
