Warm colours

Here’s what I wore Monday November 15. This is not a colour combo that I’ve played around with much, but I kind of like it. I think it works because both the red and the yellow/orange are warm colours.

Glam

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You’ll be seeing many make-up products in my Christmassy make-up looks which I haven’t hauled yet. For example, I used the Natasha Denona Glam palette for this eye look, but I won’t be posting the haul featuring it for quite a while.

It’s that time of the year again

Here’s what I wore Sunday November 14. It’s time my first Christmassy outfit though this one is a bit more toned down. Just as last year, my plan is to post my Christmassy outfits and corresponding make-up looks on the same day so that I’ll get to post all my Christmassy looks before the year is over. This means that I’ll save the outfits and make-up looks from the beginning of July until mid November for now. Stay tuned for a make-up post later on today.

MAC Hypnotizing Holiday

It’s time to begin the holiday/Christmas posts, and let’s start with this year’s limited edition holiday collection from MAC called Hypnotizing Holiday. From the colour collection I purchased two lipsticks, one of the Hyper Real Glow Duos, and one of the Powerpoint eye pencils.

I picked up the frost lipstick in Berry Tricky, which is described as a purple w/ purple pearl, and the matte lipstick in Wild Card, which is described as a blue red (I would say that it has a hint of pink to it).

I chose the Hyper Real Glow Duo in Fortune Teller/Blizzard Wizard, because it was the most unique one. The shades are described as a red with red pearl and a white that breaks gold.

The Powerpoint eye pencil has the cutest star shaped lid, and I purchased the shade Mistletoe Mint, which is obviously a mint shade.

I also picked up a face palette and an eyeshadow palette from the collection.

This is the Step Bright Up Extra Dimension Skinfinish palette in Light. I usually love the Extra Dimension face palettes from the holiday collections, and I think this one will be no exception. I’ve only used the middle shade so far, but it was very pretty. I love that it’s a gold shade pale enough for my fair skin. The lavender shade looks so pretty too.

The collection comes with three 6-pan eyeshadow palettes, and I picked up the Surprise Eyes eye shadow x 6 in Rich, because I liked the colour story of this one the best. Plums and reds are always pretty for the holiday season.

Soft, warm pinks

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The Natasha Denona Love and Mini Love palettes just have the prettiest soft, warm pink shadows. I don’t think I have shades like that in any other palettes.

(Base: primer – Urban Decay All Nighter face primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer, blusher – MAC Extra Dimension blush in Look, Don’t Touch!, highlighter – MAC Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact Extra Dimension skinfinish in Tutu. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Natasha Denona Love palette (shades: First + Valentine + Intense + Heart + Giving) + Natasha Denona Mini Love palette (shades: True + Love), mascara – Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze. Lips: Essence lip liner in 12 Wish Me A Rose + Soda #talkofthetown lipstick in 008 Pretty Doll)

Another weather change

Here’s what I wore Saturday July 3. I went to a family birthday party, and the weather didn’t look so great when we left home, but as soon as we arrived at the party the weather changed, and it turned out to be such a beautiful, sunny day.

(Top + skirt – H&M, bag – Topshop, sneakers – Nike)

Half cut crease

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I attempted to do a half cut crease with a liquid eyeshadow, but I’m not sure if I like the look or not. The colour scheme is pretty though.

(Base: primers – Essence Mini cooling hydra face balm in 01 Mini But Boosting, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – KimChi Chic Thailor bronzer in 01 I Went to Malibu, blusher – KimChi Chic Thailor blush in 02 Mercedes R (hot pink shade), highlighter – MAC Flash Drops liquid highlighter in All That Flickers. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Books palette in Tiana (shades: Mama Odie + Naveen + La Bouff) + By Beauty Bay New Romantic Liquid Crystal eyeshadow in Morganite + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – Essence Lash Princess curl & volume mascara, eyeliner – NYX Vivid Brights eyeliner in She Bang. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze. Lips: NYX Suede Matte lip liner in Clinger + Make Up Store lipstick in Pink Bliss Eden + NYX Diamonds & Ice Diamond Drip lip gloss in Power Trip)

Elton

Here’s what I wore Thursday July 1. When I found out the my Elton John T-shirt was a perfect match to the orange checked skirt, I had to wear them together. Orange and pink really is one of my favourite colour combos.

(T-shirt – Vintage Supply, skirt – Monki, heels – Topshop)

Essence Mini haul

A little while ago, I puchased most of the products from the Essence Mini collection. It’s always nice to have certain products in a mini version, and I think the pastel colours on the packaging are really cute. I picked up the following products from the collection: the brush set (01 Mini But Fluffy), the perfume balm stick trio (01 Mini But Yummy), the mattifying face mist, the caring hand lotion (01 Mini But Smooth), and the cooling hydra face balm (01 Mini But Boosting).

Here’s a closer look at the brush set. Aren’t they just adorable?

The perfume balm stick trio is my favourite item from the collection. I haven’t used the coconut scented one, because I really dislike coconut scented products, but I love the peach and the vanilla ones. The vanilla one is my absolute favourite.

Cinderella blues

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Books palette in Cinderella on my eyes. Cinderella is definitely associated with the colour blue, and these blues are very pretty.

(Base: primers – NYX The Marshmellow primer + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Pink), foundation – Catrice Mini HD Liquid Coverage foundation (shade: 002 Porcelain Beige), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Essence Camouflage+ Healthy Glow concealer in 10 Light Ivory, powders – KimChi Chic Thailor Contour in 01 Tawny (highlight shade) + Essence Skin Lovin’ Sensitive mineral powder (shade: 01 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer, blusher – I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Books palette in Cinderella (shade: A Dream Is A Wish), highlighters – I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Books palette in Cinderella (shade: Bibbidi) + I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Books heart highlighter in Cinderella. Eye make-up: base – Milani eyeshadow primer in 01 Nude, eyeshadows – I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale Books palette in Cinderella (shades: Prince Charming + Jaq + Daydream + Nightingale + Gus + Ballgown + Bibbidi (highlighter)), mascara – Essence Lash Princess curl & volume mascara, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze.
