All black works every time

Here’s what I wore Saturday November 12. There was a party at my dorm that night and I just felt like wearing jeans. It quickly became an all black outfit, because that just works every time.

First impressions: Benefit Roller Lash

I decided to write down my first impressions of the Benefit Roller Lash mascara the first time I wore it, so here goes.

It has a plastic brush which I didn’t know how I felt about initially, but I actually quite like the brush and find it easy to use. As you can see it gives your lashes both volume and length and it holds the curl well. It is fairly easy to remove from my eyelids without ruining my eye shadow, but I do find that it transfers a bit to the top part of my eyelid during the day which I obviously wish wasn’t the case. All in all I like this mascara, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed after all the hype. I guess I just expected something extraordinary. I’ll continue to use it, and maybe it will become better with time:)

In the morning

Semi-casual Christmas party

Here’s what I wore Friday November 11. I went to a Christmas party with a group of friends and I wanted to dress up a little bit, but not too much. I think this dress is perfect for those occasions, because it has a casual fit, but it’s still really pretty with the colourful rose print.

H&M haul

I have another clothing haul for you and this time it’s an H&M one. I’d been looking at the red bomber before, but I wasn’t happy with the price, but when I found it on sale I had to have it. The sweatshirt wasn’t on sale, but as the huge Disney fan that I am I couldn’t resist it. The T-shirt is a bit tighter and shorter than I normally go for, but I had several outfit ideas in mind when I saw it, so I decided to give it a try. I love slacks (or dress trousers) and I thought these silver glitter ones would be perfect for festive occasions. I actually wore them at a family Christmas get-together, but I wasn’t able to take any outfit pictures.

Happy New Year!
