Pretty and juicy looking

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love a lime green/olive green eye look, and how pretty and juicy looking is the lip colour?!

5 favourites – November

My favourite month of the year begins tomorrow, and I’m very excited about it, especially because November was a tough month for me. So I could use some Christmas spirit in my life. I did manage to find some favourites this past month, and they’re all make-up and beauty related, so let’s talk about them.

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blur + Smooth skin tint stick (shade: 02): I love the original Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop blurring skin tint, so I was so excited to try the new Eaze Drop Blur + Smooth skin tint stick, and I really enjoy it. It’s been my go-to foundation to wear on days where I had to go to work very early in the morning, because it’s so quick and easy to apply and blend.

Made By Mitchell Curve Case in Light: This cream bronzer and blush palette from Made By Mitchell is so nice. The formula is great. These creams are very pigmented, but very blendable, and the colours are stunning. I’m excited to get more use out of this palette.

e.l.f. Cosmetics No Budge matte shadow sticks: These are my favourite shadow sticks in my collection. I think I’ve got all the shades by now (so more than the picture shows). They’re perfect for creating quick eye looks, because they’re easy to apply, they blend well, and they do not budge as the name suggests. The shade range is great too.

Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes mascara: I’ve had this with my mascara back-ups for a couple of years, I think, and I finally decided to try it, and I really like it. I don’t necessarily think that it gives my lashes a false lash effect, but it looks really nice, and it doesn’t smudge or flake. I really like the wand as well.

The Body Shop Totally Tangled Ginger Body Yogurt: I purchased this product years ago, but I didn’t open it until recently. I knew I liked the Body Yogurts from The Body Shop, and I love this spicy ginger scent.

Colourpop haul (October 2023)

I have a Colourpop haul to share with you today. I have an older Colourpop haul that I haven’t posted yet, but I thought I would post this one first since it includes Christmas items. Let’s begin with those.

I purchased the entire Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer set called the Deer To Me set, when the collection re-launched this year. I thought this collection was so cute, when it initially launched a couple of years ago, I think, so I was super excited to see it back now that I’m finally purchasing from Colourpop. Let’s take a closer look at the collection.

You could argue that the main item in the collection is the Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer palette. It’s mostly a neutral palette with a couple of greens and reds, but I find that the neutrals look quite interesting and pretty. However, I went with a green look the first time I wore this palette, and I loved how the look turned out.

I’m having a thing for lip masks these days, so I was really happy that the Deer To Me set included the Clarice Peppermint Overnight Lip Mask and also the Rudolph Peppermint Lippie Scrub. Peppermint is one of my absolute favourite scents (I love the taste too), so I’m excited to try these.

This is the Couple of Misfits Lux lip gloss trio including the shades Hermey, Dolly, and Misfit Elephant. They’re all super pretty, sparkly glosses with a duochrome flip to them. I’m wearing the shade Dolly on top of a lipstick here.

These are the There’s Always Tomorrow Lux lipstick kit and the I Think You’re Cute Lux lipstick kit. Both kits come with a Lippie pencil and a Lux lipstick. So cute!

The last item in the Deer To Me set was these little Reindeer hair clips. Very cute as well.

I also picked up three products from the newest Sailor Moon collection. I’m not very familiar with Sailor Moon, but I really liked the colour story of the palette and the pretty colours of the highlighters.

This is the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon For Love & Justice palette, and isn’t that a pretty colour story?! I’m especially drawn to the last shade in the palette called Starry Sky. It’s a very unique shade of blue.

This is the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Moonlight Glow pressed powder highlighter set. The pink shade is called Moonlight, and the purple shade is called Moon Kingdom.

These are the last two products I purchased this time around. The Super Shock shadow is called Creepin’ and is from the Haunted Mansion collection. I really want the palette from that collection, but it’s still sold out. And then I got another Lux lip oil, because I really like the formula. I chose the shade Bengal, which looks like a pretty redish berry shade.

Holographic eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s really difficult to capture the amazing holographic eyeshadow I’m wearing in a picture, but hopefully you get an idea of just how stunning it is!

MAC Bizarre Blizzard holiday 2023 collection

It’s that time of year again. Time for my MAC holiday haul. This year the collection is called Bizzare Blizzard and has this pretty white and silver frosty packaging. Before we get further into the products, I just wanted to let you know that I still have lots of hauls from the end of summer and autumn, but I decided to push those back for a little while, and post my Christmassy hauls as well as Black Friday/Cyber Monday hauls first. Now, let’s get into the MAC holiday products.

I picked up the Frosted Blur face primer in Cool + Clear, which I’m pretty sure is a new product from MAC. It feels like most other blurring primers, so it feels nice on the skin.

I love how many blue eyeshadow palettes (and cool-toned palettes in general) are launching these days. This is the Snowbody’s Business eye shadow palette x12, and it fits the theme of this year’s holiday collection perfectly.

I collect these face compacts from MAC, so even though I have other highlighters similar to this one, I had to get the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Gleamscape.

This year MAC did not include their classic bullet lipsticks in their holiday collection (at least not as singles). Instead they included three limited edition shades of the Powder Kiss Velvet Blur Slim Sticks, which I also like. I picked up two shades; Merry Cherry (bright red) and Cocoa Kisses (warm brown). Both shades look very pretty and are fitting for the season.

Vibrant all day

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love how this whole make-up look turned out! The blush looked vibrant all day and the lip colour matched it perfectly. The green eye look is super pretty too.

Do I need a nude?

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the Natasha Denona I Need A Nude eyeshadow palette (which I haven’t hauled yet) for the first time. I think the eye look turned out pretty, but since I don’t wear neutral eyeshadows that often, it won’t become my favourite Natasha Denona palette.

Indie make-up haul (Monolith + Purish)

I have an indie make-up haul to share with you today. These are products that I purchased from Monolith and Purish.

Let’s begin with Glamlite. This is my first time trying out Glamlite eyeshadows and I picked up three palettes. I got the Frosted Flakes palette, because the colour story is right up my street. Sadly, the shimmers did crease a bit on me. I’m wearing the palette here.

I also picked up the Glamlite x Scooby-Doo! palettes; The Creeps and Crawls palette and the Ruh Roh Raggy!!! palette. I haven’t used the Creeps and Crawls palette, but I’ve created the most beautiful look with the Ruh Roh Raggy!!! palette, which I have yet to post. I don’t remember that one creasing that much either.

I love Cosmic Brushes eyeshadows, so of course I had to have the Muse palette, which was the brand’s third palette launch. This colour story is so pretty. I’m wearing the palette here.

The rest of the products in this haul are from Lunar Beauty. I’ve already gotten a lot of use out of the Nude Prism Blush palette. I love the variety of shades in this palette.

I’d heard such good things about the Lunar Beauty lip oils, so I purchased two shades; Love Me and Tease Me. They really are lovely. I’m wearing Tease Me here.

Lastly, I got two lip pencils and two lipsticks from Lunar Beauty, and they’re in matching colours. The deep pinky colour is called Stormy, and the bright orangy colour is called Tías. Both shades are so pretty!

Surge

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really wanted to create a look using the Blend Bunny Cosmetics Surge palette (which I haven’t hauled yet) and went with a purple look (no shock there) with a pop of neon green on the inner corners, and I really like how the look turned out.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Poreless Putty primer, foundation – Nars Light Reflecting foundation (shade: Oslo), concealers – Smashbox x Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector in Fair/Light + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra-Blur in Translucent. Face make-up: bronzer – Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer in Light, blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in Totally Synced, highlighter – Colourpop Super Shock highlighter in Candy Floss. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Blend Bunny Cosmetics Surge palette (shades: White Hot + Cheeks + Covet + Euphoric + Chemistry) + Essence Multichrome Flakes eyeshadow topper in 02 Cosmic Feelings, mascaras – MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara + Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes universal volumizing mascara, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Seashell.
