Many times before

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve worn looks like this many times before, but I feel that you can never go wrong with a brown/bronze/golden eye and a red lip.

Sable and sumptious olive

DSC_3165DSC_3172DSC_3174

I got two more MAC eye shadows for my birthday, and my 15 pan palette is starting to look very nice. The shade in the top corner is Sable and it’s described as a gold-plum with bronze pearl and it’s a frost finish. I would say that it’s more of a brown shade than a gold-plum, but it’s beautiful either way. The shade in the bottom corner is Sumptious Olive and it’s described as a khaki with pearl and it’s a veluxe pearl finish. Most of my MAC eye shadows are either frost or veluxe pearl shadows, and I love these two finishes. I love these two colours too, and I’m looking forward to play around with them some more.

Thin black line

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore black liner for once which I rarely do, because it can easily make my eyes appear smaller than they already do, but I managed to make a thin line, so I think it looked okay.

Yellow eyes

First impressions: Maybelline Matte + Poreless translucent powder

DSC_3116DSC_3118

It’s time for another ‘first impressions’ post and this time it’ll be short and sweet. I’ve almost used up my Rimmel Stay Matte translucent powder, so I wanted to try out a new translucent pressed powder. I love the Maybelline Fit Me line, so I went with the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless powder in the shade 90 Translucent. As you can see it’s a white powder, but it’s not visible on the skin, so it is in fact translucent. It has a nice and soft texture, and it is mattifying, but it doesn’t make your skin look dry. It kept my skin looking matte for a good amount of time, and I didn’t feel the need to touch up during the day. If I was going somewhere in the evening, I would touch up, but that’s the case with most powders. In conclusion, it does what I want a powder to do; to set my foundation and get rid of the worst shine.

Comfort zone

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I often forget about the Wet n Wild Comfort Zone eye shadow palette, but it’s such a good palette; the colours are so beautiful and pigmented. I tend to go for the green shades in the palette, but the browns are gorgeous as well.

(Base: primers – e.l.f. Blemish Control Face Primer + Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shades: Soft Light + Cream) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Benefit Hoola bronzer, blusher – Essence Satin Touch blush in 20 Satin Love, highlighter – Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Eclipse.
