Collective haul – clothes and beauty (January 2023)

I have a collective clothes and beauty haul to share with you today. I purchased all of these items in January. Let’s begin with clothes.

You have already seen my wear all five pieces of clothing. They’re all from H&M, and I’m loving both of these tops. I just had to have the pastel rainbow cardigan for obvious reasons, and I thought the grey sweatshirt with the lipstick print and cute saying was perfect for me.

I love a pair of wide leg jeans, and I love a good print, so I’m enjoying wearing these three pairs of jeans.

Before we move on to beauty, I also picked up this little keyring lipstick holder from H&M to have on my everyday bag.

And now let’s talk about some make-up. I love all the Powder Kiss formulas from MAC, so I picked up one of the Powder Kiss liquid lipcolours in the shade Good Jeans, which is a fun denim blue, and two of the Powder Kiss Velvet Blur Slim Sticks in Rose Mary and Hot Paprika. I’m wearing Hot Paprika here.

I featured the NYX Born To Glow naturally radiant foundation in my February favourites, so I obviously love this foundation. I got the shade Porcelain, which is a great shade match on me.

I’m very intrigued by the Sephora Collection DO NOT DRINK perfumes, because of the interesting scent combinations. This one is the Spicy Blend Jasmine + Pink Pepper eau de parfum, and I’m excited to try it.

Here’s a little collection of products I picked up at the same time. I purchased the Clarins Water lip stain in 04 Violet Water, the Missha M Perfect Cover B.B Cream Spf 42 in 21 Light Beige, and the Pixi + Hello Kitty makeup fixing mist in a sale. The only product I’ve tried so far is the Missha M Perfect Cover B.B Cream, and I quite liked it.

The last two products in this haul are the Bobbi Brown highlighting powder in Pink Glow and the KVD Beauty Moongarden eyeshadow palette. I got both of these products 20% off.

I’ve had this Bobbi Brown highlighter on my wishlist for a while, and I thought I would pick up a mini to try it out.

The packaging of this KVD Beauty palette is stunning, and so is the colour story. I’m really excited to try out the formula of these shadows.

Quicker make-up looks

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Since having a baby, I sometimes need to get ready quicker than I used to, so I’ve been trying to come up with quicker make-up looks to do in those situations, and this look is one of them. I’ve found that liquid and cream eyeshadows are the way to go when doing my make-up quicker. Face palettes also cut down time on the make-up application.

Neutrals and prints

Here’s what I wore Thursday February 16. I don’t often go for this neutral of a colour scheme, but I like the print mixing and overall vibe of this look.

Mindbender

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I used the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Psychedelic Circus palette on my eyes for the first time, and I think the look turned out so fun. The lipstick is also from the Psychedelic Circus collection, and it’s such a fun metallic shade.

Sephora sale haul (late December 2022)

I have a small-ish Sephora sale haul to share with you today. I purchased these products in late December 2022, so that’s why the palettes are holiday themed. Let’s talk about those first.

I don’t own a lot of Too Faced palettes (I think I have one other one that I’ve maybe used once), but I thought these mini holiday themed palettes were adorable. I’ve only worn the You’re So Hot palette so far, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and pigmentation of the shadows, and I love that you get eight shades in such a small palette.

A couple of random bits I picked up in the sale; the Huda Beauty Legit Lashes double-ended mascara (mini) in Legit Blue and KVD Beauty Everlasting lip liner in L.U.V. I’ve had bright blue mascaras in my collection before, and I thought it would be nice to add one again. And I know I like the KVD Beauty lipliners, and this magenta purple colour is super pretty and not the most common lipliner shade to come by.

I picked up this Pat McGrath Labs Dream Lover + Dark Star duo mainly for the mascara. I used up a sample of the Dark Star mascara last year, and it’s probably one of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried, but it’s just so expensive. Picking it up in a set on sale which also comes with a MatteTrance lipstick in Dream Lover was a very good deal.

Lastly, I purchased the Ole Henriksen Seeking Self-Care set, which includes a Strength Trainer Peptide Boost moisturizer, Banana Bright+ eye cream, and Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner; three products that I’ve been curious to try.

Lovely berries

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Every time I create a berry make-up look I love it, so maybe I should wear them more often.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Cosmetics Jelly Pop dew primer, foundation – NYX Born To Glow naturally radiant foundation (shade: Porcelain), concealers – Smashbox x Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector in Fair/Light + NYX Bare With Me concealer serum (shade: 02 Light), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + Beauty Bakerie Flour setting powder in Oat (translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – L’Oréal Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear Matte bronzer (shade: 250 Light), blusher – MAC Nippy’s Plum Rose powder blush, highlighter – Bobbi Brown highlighting powder in Pink Glow. Eye make-up: base – Sigma Beauty Eyeshadow Base Primer in Persuade, eyeshadows – By BEAUTY BAY Berries 42 colour palette (shades: Oyster + Rosewood + Journal + Stiletto + Nova + Cloud), mascara – Colourpop Hocus Pocus 2 BFF mascara in Butcherson, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Seashell. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: MAC Just Wonderful lip pencil + Pat McGrath Labs x Bridgerton SatinAllure lipstick in Infatuation)

An almost full face of MAC

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to try out a bunch of the MAC x Whitney Houston products and decided to do an almost full face of MAC, which was a lot of fun. I especially love the two-toned lip!
