Kinkster

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As I wrote in my latest make-up haul, I’d been looking for a very warm, yellow-based nude brown lipstick, and this MAC lipstick is just it. Most people probably wouldn’t consider this a pretty shade, but I absolutely love it.

Collective haul: drugstore + MAC

I’ve been doing quite a bit of make-up shopping lately, so for this haul you get two hauls in one; a small drugstore haul and a MAC lip product haul.

DSC_0815

Here are a few drugtstore pieces, I’ve picked up recently. I love EOS lip balms, and I’ve been wanted to try out the sticks and found this set of two lip balm sticks in the vanilla bean scent. I love vanilla scented things, and the scent of these lip balms is one of my favourite vanilla scents in a product. They smell like vanilla ice cream, which is so delicious! I’d never heard of the Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder before. It claims to minimize breakouts (!), control shine, and mattify the skin. I actually haven’t tried it out yet, but if it actually minimizes breakouts, it’s a winner. I thought it was time to try out a new eyebrow pencil, and I’ve heard good things about the Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil, so I picked it up in the shade 04 Medium Brown. I’m going to try it for the first time tomorrow. The last thing I purchased in the drugstore section is the Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum. I’ve already used it a couple of times, and so far I like it.

DSC_0981

MAC lipticks are some of my absolute favourites, so I purchased a few more recently. I also purchased a lipglass, which is very unlike me, since I rarely wear a glossy lip, but all of a sudden, I’m kind of into it.

DSC_0912

So the lipglass I picked up is the classic red shade Ruby Woo. This one is from the limited edition collection Luna Illusions from earlier this year, so obviously the packaging is really pretty. It was on sale too, which is why I decided to get it. Red is my go-to lip colour, so I thought it would be nice to be able to make a red lip glossy. I’ve worn this once so far, and I loved the way it looked. I found it quite comfortable to wear too.

DSC_0924

I’ve been wanting a very warm, yellow-based nude brown lipstick for a long time, and I finally found it in the lipstick called Kinkster. The picture doesn’t do the colour justice, but you’ll see it in action soon. This lipstick is apparently from some nude lipstick collection I didn’t know about, but I’m really glad I found it.

DSC_0990

I decided to get another shade from the Bronzing collection. This is the shade A La Plage and it’s a lustre finish lipstick, which I haven’t owned from MAC before. It’s quite sheer and glossy, which is the complete opposite of what I usually go for when it comes to lipstick, but as I wrote earlier on I’m kind of into a glossy lip these days, and this shade is really pretty.

DSC_0921

Last, but not least, I had to have the MAC Maker Barbie collaboration lipstick. I loved Barbies as a child, and this is the perfect Barbie pink lipstick. This is not a colour I usually wear, but I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

Filigreedy

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing another shade from the MAC Rose-gilded eyeshadow palette (the shimmery golden beige shade), and it’s another winner.

(Base: primers – Maybelline Face Studio Prime Pore Minimizing Primer + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Revolution Conceal & Define concealer (shade: C2), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + RCMA No-Color powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blushers – NYX Sweet Cheeks matte creamy powder blush in Summer Breeze + Milani baked powder blush in 05 Luminoso, highlighter – Milani Strobe Light Instant Glow Powder (shade: Afterglow). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette (shade: Monarchy) + MAC Rose-gilded eyeshadow palette (shade: Filigreedy) + MAC eyeshadows (shades: Natural Wilderness + Nylon), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Brow Pencil (shade: Neutral Brown) + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Essence Invisible Kiss transparent lipliner in 01 Multitalent Wonder + H&M Matte lipstick in 215 Red Haute)

Wearable though non-traditional

DSC_0790DSC_0794

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Adding grey to my outfit gave me an opportunity to wear grey lipstick, which I hadn’t worn in ages. Grey lipstick is probably not for everyone, but I actually find it quite wearable for a non-traditional lipstick colour.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Revolution Conceal & Define concealer (shade: C2), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + RCMA No-Color powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – Makeup Geek blusher in Spellbound, highlighter – Ofra Cosmetics x Nikkietutorials Glazed Donut highlighter. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Blue Blood eyeshadow palette (shades: Wealthy + Celebrity Skin + Power + Undertaker + Cullinan), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – NYX Slim eye pencil in Sapphire. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Brow Pencil (shade: Neutral Brown) + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: NYX Suede Matte lip liner in Stone Fox + MAC Halsey lipstick)

A little too light

DSC_0779DSC_0784

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I know my foundation is a little too light (I’m wearing a foundation that oxidizes a lot so I mixed in some white foundation but added a bit too much), but I like the rest of my make-up.

(Base: primers – Maybelline Face Studio Prime Pore Minimizing Primer + MAC Strobe Cream (shade: Pinklite), foundations – Maybelline Superstay 24H Full Coverage foundation (shade: 05 Light Beige) + L.A. Girl PRO.Color Foundation Mixing Pigment (shade: White), concealer – e.l.f. 16HR Camo concealer (shade: Fair Rose), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + RCMA No-Color powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC Mineralize blush in Modest Blush, highlighter – Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Princess Cut. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Huda Beauty Nude Light Obsessions palette (shades: 3. shade 1. row + 2. shade 2. row) + MAC Rose-gilded eyeshadow palette (shades: Flaming Femme + Flashbeams) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – Faux Whites eyeliner in Seashell. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Brow Pencil (shade: Neutral Brown) + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: NYX Suede Matte lip liner in Cannes + MAC Princess Incognito lipstick)

NYX haul (mainly eyeliners)

DSC_0996

I don’t why, but I’ve been purchasing a lot of eyeliners lately (there are more to come), and in all different kinds of colours. I guess, I just love a coloured eyeliner in the waterline, and I want one to match every single eye look that I can imagine. I love NYX lip liners (a bought another one of those too; the Suede Matte lip liner in the shade Clinger), so I thought I would try out some of the different eyeliner formulas as well. I got two of the Faux Whites eyeliners, which I’ve been wanting to try for so long. I got the shades Seashell (pale pink) and Lavender Blush (pale lavender). I also purchased three of the slim eyeliners; I got the shades Light Brown, Lavender Glitter, and Sapphire. The shade names kind of speaks for themselves. And the last set of eyeliner that I bought, are the Vivid Brights eyeliners. I think they might be new, and they were made in relation to Pride. I chose the shades Love (sky blue shimmer), Snatched (red shimmer), She Bang (orange shimmer), and Hot Dang (chartreuse shimmer). The only non-liner product that I purchased this time around is another Sweet Cheeks matte creamy powder blush. I really like the yellow one I bought recently, and even though it might not look like it in the picture, this shade called Summer Breeze is a very pretty terracotta orangy colour.
