Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipsticks

Lipstick is my favourite make-up category (eyeshadow palettes are a close second), so I’m always excited to try out a new lipstick formula, even though I have my favourite formulas that I wear most of the time. My favourite liquid lipstick formula is that of the Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks, so I was really excited to try out the newest lip product in the Jeffree Star Cosmetics range; the Velvet Trap lipstick. He lauched 20 shades, and I decided to get 6 of them. The shades I chose are (from left to right) Naked Body, Chocolate Fondue, Unphazed, Drill Sergeant, Firestarter, and The Perfect Red. You have already seen me wear The Perfect Red several times, and I love it! The colour really is as close to perfect as it gets, and I really like the formula as well. It’s a really comfortable matte lipstick. I also love the light pink packaging; they have a magnetic closure as well which is always super satisfying in a lipstick. The only other shade I’ve worn so far besides The Perfect Red is Chocolate Fondue, and that’s a very nice shade too. But I’m really excited to try the other shades as well, and who knows, maybe I’ll be adding more shades to my collection in the future.

Green fun

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m having so much fun doing all these green eye looks, and I love how this one turned out.

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I went for a simple brown eye look to match the gingerbread men and women on my jumper and of course a bright red lip to go with the jumper itself.

Revolution x Friends pt. 2

Revolution has released a part two to their Friends collection, which consists of palettes and body/bath products. These are the items I decided to get.

The only palette I decided to get from the collection is the Open The Door shadow palette. The packaging is really cute, and the quality of the shadows is really nice. Even though it’s mainly a neutral palette, it does has some pops of colour and some of the neutrals are a bit different. I’m really excited to create more looks with this palette.

These other products I purchased from the collection are the Espresso body scrub, the Espresso body butter, the Vanilla Latte lip scrub, and the Caramel Latte lip mask. I haven’t tried any of these products yet, but I love the coffee theme.

Candy cane

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m so impressed by the BH Cosmetics Naughty palette; both the matte red and the gold glitter I used for this eye look are stunning.

Similar, but slightly different

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This look is quite similar to this look, but I wore different products on eyes and lips and the tones are a little different. You are probably going to see many similar looks throughout December. At least looks with the same colour schemes, and I have to say that I really enjoy all these festive, christmassy make-up looks.

Silver glitter and the perfect red

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really felt like wearing silver glitter on my eyes and paired it with green to match the dinosaurs on my jumper and my skirt. And I can’t stop wearing this Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick; it might just be the perfect red.

Holiday make-up haul

The only holiday make-up collections I usually buy are MAC and Jeffree Star, but this year there are so many cute holiday palettes and lip sets, so I decided to get some products from BH Cosmetics, Fenty Beauty, and Too Faced.

Let’s start with BH Cosmetics. I’ve never tried any products from this brand, but these are some of the most festive holiday palettes I’ve ever seen, so I had to have them. I’ve already worn both palettes, and so far I love them. The quality is great for the affordable price and the colour stories are so inspiring; especially the colour story of the Naughty palette. I can’t wait to create many more looks with these palettes.

I love Fenty Beauty as a brand, and I couldn’t resist a few of this year’s holiday sets. The first set that I’ve purchased is the Full Snap – Gift Duo which contains a limited edition Snap Shadows palette in Holo-Daze and a mini Full Frontal mascara. I haven’t tried the mascara before, so I’m excited to do so, and I love the Snap Shadow palettes, and the shades in this one are so pretty.

From Fenty Beauty I also purchased the Glossy Posse – Holo’Daze Christmas Edition which is a set of four mini Gloss Bombs in limited edition shades. The shades are (from left to right): Ruby Milk, Cake Shake, Taffy Tea$e, and Baby Brut. How cute are these glosses!

I’ve never been that interested in Too Faced make-up, but their holiday sets this year caught my eye for some reason. This Cinnamon Bear gift set is so cute, and I can’t wait to try both products.

This is the holiday set that started it all for me this year. It’s the Too Faced Christmas Snuggles & Melted Kisses – Gift Set which contains four mini Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear lipsticks in the shades (from left to right) Hot Toddy, Candy Cane, Sugar Cookie, and Caramel Apple. The packaging is adorable and so festive and the lipsticks actually smell like the things they’re named after, which is incredible. I have already tried a couple of the shades, and I’m really impressed by the formula. I’m going to keep my eye out for sets like this one in the future.

Festive emerald

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to match my eyeshadow to my green jumper, so I had to break out another new eyeshadow palette (I have many new palettes to haul), because it contained the perfect green shade to match my jumper. It’s of course the new Jeffree Star Blood Money palette, which is a green palette and perfect for this time of year.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in So Natural, highlighter – MAC Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio: Light (shade: Glitzed Out). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Jeffree Star Blood Money palette (shades: Private Island + Emerald Estate + Divine Intervention), mascara – L’Oréal Lash Paradise mascara, eyeliner – Marc Jacobs Highliner Glam Glitter gel eye crayon in All That Glitters. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Gosh Velvet Touch lipliner in 004 Simply Red + MAC Sparks Of Romance lipstick)

Blue magic

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to try out another new eyeshadow palette I haven’t hauled yet (I know, I’m way behind on hauls), because it had all these stunning blue shades, which were perfect with the outfit. I’m talking about the By Beauty Bay Book of Magic palette, and I think I’m going to get along very well with this palette.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – Essence The Blush in 10 Befitting, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Cold Comfort.
